The food is always amazing with very generous portions so you always feel like you’re getting your moneys worth and to top it off the customer service is always top notch with attentive and friendly waiters/waitresses. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the toilets/tables are always clean and tidy.”

A lovely front room ( couple of tv's) and a surprisingly large beer garden. Upstairs for another room with darts, pool, TV's etc. Serves food. Close to railway ststion.”

The service is always warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is great both inside and out, with elevated views of the beach, the Steyne, and Brighton in the distance, which makes it especially nice in the summer. “Nice french cuisine - Visited with my family, kids enjoyed their time at the restaurant. Good food well presented but bit expensive for the quantity they served. Staff is very friendly and attentive around the table all the time. We didn’t liked the mocktails which we ordered, but staff understood and changed it straightaway. My wife liked her starter King prawns and my Garlic mushrooms was yummy. Main course we had Chicken Burger and Leffe beer battered fish which was delicious, would recommend others to try. My daughter spent her time on solving the puzzle and drawing Chilly Billy. Desert we tried Hot chocolate fondant and Creme brulle which was good. Would visit again and recommend to others who like to try french food.”

“Just celebrated my daughter's 18th at the Prince Albert St restaurant and have to give a special shout-out to the lovely Hannah, our Server for the evening, who really went above and beyond to make our meal as enjoyable as possible. From the moment she greeted us at the door, she was all smiles, helpful manner and was happy to chat with me about tattoos!! She even arranged for one of our meals to be repackaged into take-away containers when one of our party had to leave early unexpectedly. Food was great - and even the manager (sorry didn't catch his name) popped over to have a chat with us about the footie match that night (!!) - plus of course to see how our evening was going! A really friendly atmosphere and truly great service. Recommend!”

“Not just for one meal but going there since refurbishment totally consistent the greeting from Hannah (Land Rover girl) and the rest of the staff, the food that doesn’t cost a fortune and is way above the average pub standard and good value. “We were lucky enough to eat as guests in the Over Wallop restaurant at Glyndebourne last week, during a performance of the Magic Flute (sublime singing and music!), and thought the food the best we have ever had there. We had the Sussex asparagus starter, followed by the Cumbrian lamb (cooked to perfection and the depth of flavour in the jus was simply superb), with the coffee mousse to finish. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and we could not find a single fault. Well done to Steve Groves and his brilliant team. As always the service was immaculate and it is a wonder to behold how so many meals are delivered (like clockwork) mid-performance in such a short window. Thank you so much to all concerned for helping to make such a special evening.”

“I had a really lovely experience at Italian Kitchen in Brighton! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the visit feel extra special. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care – everything from the starters to the mains tasted amazing. Prices were also very reasonable, especially for the quality you get, which makes it a great value spot. If I had to point out one thing, the atmosphere wasn’t quite as charming as the food and service – it just lacked a little warmth compared to other Italian places I’ve been to. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”

“The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and nice, I ordered a basket of bread and fish soup, the soup is really tasty and has variety seafood inside. There are many restaurants in Brighton serve fish soup but most of them are pretty pricey but this one’s price is reasonable. The bread is fine, felt it is super fresh bread but it’s good enough. It is an small restaurant that run in Brighton for more then 50 years. Will definitely come back to try more different dishes next time.”
