“I had a leaking tap and couldn’t see any makers marks, which meant I had no chance of finding the right nitrile washers online. I spoke to the guys in Plumbase and they suggested that I bring the tap in to find a match. They absolutely nailed it, result a leak free tap which saved me lots of hassle having to replace the whole unit. Thank you to a very friendly bunch of guys.”
“It's a one stop shop for all sports related items”
“The best offices in Bath. Great central location, fantastic staff and easily the best quality in the city. Would highly recommend”
“Our first time and we loved it. We ordered lots of different food to try and we could not fault it. It is a little expensive but everything has gone up in price. Would we order again, yes we would. We really enjoyed the Katsu Curry. I would also like to point out that the customer service was very good. A lovely friendly bunch thank you”
“This notification suggests this is about the café inside the reception area of Bath College, although the part I'm filling in gives no clues... So I'll review both: Briefly, although it's a little disorganised, everyone's very friendly and they make a big effort to be helpful and fix things, and they're good at finding the staff responsible for the area of concern. As a brief look around the library confirms the academic range & depth is deliberately limited to concentrate on introductions to specific subjects, so they can concentrate on helping in very specific ways and not get bogged down. They have an impressive range of services not related to coursework, to support students, including help with health, finance, travel to the campus, and any other barriers to learning; and this goes beyond and in addition to the usual public services. Eg, if you can get help with a disability on the NHS but have to wait a bit longer than practical, you can get that help a lot faster as a student. A local student pass also gives you discounts at businesses outside the college, and qualifies you for NUS membership, which gives you an even better range of discounts, eg on Amazon products, and the student edition of software licences. The discounts and services do not discriminate, so you're eligible for support & subsidiaries outside the days/hours you normally attend, and the subject areas you're studying. Back to the café area: There's a café atmosphere in the reception part for meetings etc, with a counter service, and that's very light & spacious, with comfortable seats & tables, and a high quality & range of food & drinks. There is also a section serving meals, although that's currently restricted due to infection control and improvement work.”
“Sometimes you feel compelled to write a review. We had a last minute stay in Bath and were looking for an affordable, decent hotel close to bath but not in the centre. We found it with the Wentworth House Hotel. From the free parking, late-ish (arrived in darkness) welcome after a long drive and some good directions to our forward destination we knew we'd chosen well. Yes, there are some low star reviews for this establishment but I wonder if they picked the wrong hotel. If you're looking for swish, silver service with mints on your pillow and uniformed staff - keep looking. If you're looking for a clean, good, honest 'head down tummy full' stay, they this is perfect. Which brings me on to the breakfast - splendid stuff. Freshly cooked (they asked what time we'd be sitting down for it so it could be timed perfectly), it was hot, tasty and plentiful. And oh my, that sausage... So in list form and to conclude - free parking, lovely building, well kept facilities, a bar, good size room (with toiletries), a fabulous view, friendly welcome, excellent breakfast and just 15 minutes walk to the centre of Bath. (Take the bus back - a tip from another review and well worth doing - it's a long hill after a big meal). Thank you WHH - we'll be back.”
“Perfect location after a day of touring Bath and the Roman Baths. Prices affordable and family rooms available. Close to some great restaurants and pubs for a meal or cocktail. Paid Parking is only about a 10 minute walk and offers 24 hours parking at very affordable rates. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that we were staying for one night - our fault not theirs. we know for future - stay longer. Loved it”
“I have been going to sessions with Bryony at PhysioImpulse throughout 2025, after 5 years of various physio's attending issues around the Hip which have left me very restricted in mobility. Throughout our sessions, she has been very professional and has a capability at getting to the nub of the issue, and takes a mindful and holistic approach to tackling problems. Would recommend to anyone.”
“I have been coming to Baskervilles gym for nearly 5 years now as a student at the Uni of Bath. The gym have run gymnastics training for the snow sports club for as long as I have been a member. Paul especially has always taken care of us and tailores his gymnastics expertise to movements for us on skis in the park. I have seen many friends and myself take skills and exercises we have learned in the gym to improve ourselves on the slopes. The team always do a great job adapting our sessions to all the various skill levels of the members we bring. Everyone equally has a great time and has the opportunity to progress!”
“Our wonderful local family hardware store! Where you always get the personal touch, along with some laughs! An important part of Hanham High Street.”
“Always great friendly service and help with loading is a brilliant human touch in this day and age of self service. Prices are very reasonable and have a big range of timber.”

“I want to say a huge thank you to Mark and Denise for such excellent customer care! We bought a mattress from bed-e-buys 5 years ago, which was a great experience and we were very happy with our purchase. However a few weeks ago we thought our mattress may have a fault and raised claim under the warranty. The mattress was assessed and found to be fine but bed-e-buys took the claim very seriously. Denise managed the claim directly with the supplier and kept us informed the whole way through via emails and calls. Thank you so much for looking after us so well, 5 years after our purchase!”
“Great service here. Very old school place customer service is the key.”
“I often pop into Francis DIY. Today popped in for a specific sized box and waterproof tape for a particular job. They were absolutely brilliant, helpful and generous. Much appreciated, thank you. Jane.”
“Have used Bendrey Brothers Timber Merchants now for a few years, buying wood and gravel at competetive prices. quality has always been good and friendly staff have always been very helpful.”

“Love this hardware shop - everything reasonably priced and the staff are so helpful and lovely”
“Nice little tapas place. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly service. We had vegetarian tapas - very tasty!”
“Really lovely little cafe. We found this place online and loved the look and the vibe. We arrived around 10am and were seated pretty much straight away. Don’t be fooled if it looks full from the front, they do have a few tables hidden around the back. The service was really quick and friendly and the food tasted very good. We had the French toast with bacon and maple syrup along with an order of poached eggs on toast with a side of avocado. The food was served fast but we didn’t feel rushed to eat and leave even once finished we were left to chat until we were ready to go. Overall I’d say this was a great place to stop for brunch.”
“One of the most charming pubs in Bath. Their signature pies are top notch every single time, but so are their sausages and all the other wonderful things they pile onto your plate! Their gravy flavours compliment the pies ans sausages so well. They also sale local ales and ciders. Staff are friendly and talkative. Unfortunately you can't book but this place is so worth the visit because the food and atmosphere are fantastic!”
“Stayed her with the girlfriend for four days whilst we explored Bath and surrounding area. Mainly chose it because it was one the the few B&B's that offered a destination charger which we booked for the first and last night of our stay. Very convenient and meant we didn't need to rely on public chargers while in Bath. Rooms was very nice, breakfast was good with a choice of continental, cooked, or salmon/egg choices. Overall very happy and would definitely stay again.”
“A proper old school hardware shop. If you need it they probably have it. They also probably have something you didn't know you needed! Super helpful and cheery staff. Give them a try before B&Q and Screwfix.”
“I've only stayed for one night but I was very happy with choosing this place. It is clean and the room was lovely. The staff was very nice. If ever in Bath again, I will consider staying here.”
