“Nice pub with a good atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty reasonable food. Near two main route bus stops. We went on a Wednesday evening and it was a good place to have a catch up after work.”

“Went in for a drink early evening midweek, was fairly quiet but had a warm welcome from behind the bar and a nice pint of Gem. Looks like they don't really do food, but there was a hot food cabinet behind the bar with Clarks pies and a few other bits. Looks a lot more welcoming after the makeover internally a few years ago, and still with the half-Lifeboat as the side of the bar. Good job.”

Superb, friendly and efficient staff dish up great tea and coffee (plus other drinks) with a great selection of snackable food including burgers and their famous bacon and egg roll. “Outside and weather dependant but we had great conditions. It was popular and a real treat for my family. Glad we got the family ticket for £50 and then 1 more child plus booking fee. Some just paid on the day and queued. An hour is enough. There were enough skates for everyone. Good times and good vibes. Merry Christmas!”

“This is fast becoming a regular visit for us. Such friendly staff, nice calm atmosphere and because they do not do food it has a more traditional feel too it. It is still a family pub with lots of board games to do and reasonably priced drinks”

“Had to leave a review after seeing Lesley’s a few months back here. Sir/ma’am, why on earth are you going anywhere when you’re probably still contagious fresh off the back of norovirus?! Could’ve wiped out the whole team and thrown that mac n cheese straight back up. Partner and I have come here more than a few times, lounges are great for dietary restrictions and I’m gluten free & vegan. Staff always friendly but not overbearing about it, very casual and relaxed setting. Good food at a reasonable price point! Hope the team cackled at the aforementioned review just like my partner and I.”

“We went for lunch on a Thursday. Staff were amazingly friendly and the service was very good. The waitress was a little flustered with our order but as it's a new establishment I wasn't expecting 1st class service. We sat near the "kitchen" and the female chef making pancakes was very chatty and helpful in telling us about the difference between all the pancakes/crepes. The drinks arrived quite quickly, the coffee was nice but the hot chocolate needs refining as it really doesn't hit home which is a shame when you focus so much on sweet things. We were also given 4 sugar sachets for 3 large drinks. The food was great but nothing stood out which again is a shame as it means you could get something similar somewhere else. Topping were fresh and a perfect match with each other. Maybe a pancake speciality like Yanto's Pancake or a souffle pancake. It's just missing that wow factor. However for a cafe it's great and as I said the staff are just a step above. I'm giving 5 stars purely because of the staff and atmosphere. I would recommend this place to people as a local lunch spot for sure.”

“I don't very often go to the M&S cafe because I thought it would be overpriced but I was pleasantly surprised when a slice of cake and a cup of tea came to approx £5. The service was really good. I was feeding the baby at the till and the lady offered to bring my drink and cake over. A chap brought it over in the end but he was very thoughtful and got me some sugar too! Will definitely be returning.”

“Great day at the Weber Grills - UK barbecue course. Learnt a lot, ate even more! Steak, pork and beer can chicken was lovely with sweet potatoes and brocolli sides. Really enjoyed the mushroom risotto and chocolate molten puddings on the bbq too. Very friendly team, thank you.”

“A lovely little place right on the edge of Cabot. Usual Caffe Nero stuff, but friendly service, and usual great coffee. Plenty of seats outside, which is quite surprising for where it is. It's opposite maccies ... I'll often get food from there, but sit to have it with a great coffee! If you're that side of things and need a brew, pop in, you'll be very welcomed Don't forget to use your stamp card or app”
