“We lucked into the most magical day on our Cotswolds tour with Chris as our guide! What to say? We were excited for it but the tour so exceeded even our most hopeful expectations. Chris brought us to several villages-- and on the fly curated the trip around our expressed interests and those of the additional guest (who was also an amazing human and like a friend by the end of the tour!). He is unbelievably knowledgable. But what sets Chris apart is the way he distills complex history into an understandable story that very quickly facilitates enhanced appreciation for the deep significance of these places beyond their obvious beauty. I took pages of notes and came away with an intense desire to learn more about the place and British history. As an added bonus, Chris is funny, witty, helpful, kind, and interested. He is passionate about history and traveling and that all just enhanced is story telling. It truly was an experience of a lifetime and we are so grateful to Chris for that gift. On the more business like side-- pick up was prompt, van was great, water appreciated, tea and lunch spots authentic and wonderfully charming. “I had an incredible time last night at Bristol Bachata! The atmosphere was lively and filled with energy. The dancers were amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed dancing and having fun with everyone. The music was fantastic, and the instructors Jan and Paulina were so talented and supportive. It was a perfect evening of dance and enjoyment. I can't wait to come back for more! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a great time dancing.”

“We live just around the corner from Naan & Co. This is our first visit since the restaurant changed hands four months ago and it is fantastic. We are overjoyed to have a top quality Indian restaurant nearby. Everything has been transformed. The interior is excellent with beautiful flooring, lighting, tables and seating. The food is first class: well presented and delicious. And the family who own the restaurant are all lovely: friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back very soon.”

“Easy to miss from the outside, and not much to see on the inside, the whole focus of Casa is on food and service. And both are fantastic, I must say. We went for the 65GBP menu, and by then end of it where neither hungry nor disappointed. Expect plenty of food, and the dish quality was fantastic all through the meal. My favourite was probably the lion mane mushroom in panko and the sirloin, but honestly, there weren't any weak dishes.”

“Our usual Indian has gone downhill so we ventured out and came across Bikanos, always daunting trying a new takeaway but this place was fantastic we ordered a takeaway and collected it, very friendly welcome offered a drink on arrival as I was early to collect food was ready on time and one of the best tasting Indian dishes we’ve had in ages! Will definitely be coming back again!”

“Passing through and saw this little place. Popped in for a bacon butty and a wee and it’s made me genuinely sad that I don’t live around the corner so I could visit every week. Staff (Sharon and Darcy) were so friendly even though we aren’t local. They had regulars (known by name) and clearly look after them making everyone feel special. Spending time chatting with an older gentleman. It’s opposite the park and botanical gardens, I walked the dog before popping in. Really wished I lived closer to be able to come back get bits for a picnic and stroll in the parks. Dog friendly too! Bacon butty - banging Takeaway brownie not yet eaten but smells divine. Service warm and friendly And the best bit, evening guest chefs and wine! Anyone have the number of an estate agent?”

“This was our second Christmas stay. 3 years ago Christmas Day was pretty chaotic but overall we enjoyed our stay so much that we were quite happy to go back. The room, the service, the staff, the restaurant was excellent. Christmas Day service from Buddy The Elf (Cosmin), Alessandro (Alex) and *all* the staff in the restaurant was superb. I rarely write reviews and am accustomed to moaning about lack of service these days so feel duty bound to say a really big thank you given that we were so well looked after by everyone at The Hotel du Vin Bristol City. “I recently visited Italb and it was great! The atmosphere was cozy. I tried the pasta and it was delicious. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and the toppings were tasty. For dessert, I had tiramisu, which was the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, a lovely place to enjoy some authentic Italian food! Also, I’d like to thank the staff for being so friendly and making sure everything was perfect for my birthday.☺️❤️”

“Came today with my family in a large group for the breakfast with santa experience! the children absolutely loved every minute including the adults. The atmosphere was christmassy, the staff was great and food was delicious! We will definitely be making this a new family tradition as it was so magical, santa and his elf helper were so warm and welcoming they really went above and beyond to cater for our family as large group (7 children & 10 adults) they were so patient and allowed us to take lots of lovely group family photos in our invidiual families and allowed us all in the room so all parents/grandparents were able to see the joy on the children's faces! thank you harvester for a fantastic family christmas experience!! ❤️❤️”

Their signature tiramisu was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. The staff were also kind and very friendly. Chatting with Zebedee was pleasure. “Had taken myself and my mother for a meal for Mothers Day and we had a fab experience in this restaurant. The food was perfect served by really attentive staff who couldn’t do more for us they were lovely. The prices were very cheap considering the amount of care provided to us as well as the high standard of food served. Would 10/10 recommend this place and is planning to return again with my partner sometime very soon.”

“This was our second stay at the fabulous Bristol Hotel. My wife had recently fractured her ankle, and this was her 1st trip out of the house in weeks. The reception staff were amazing. They changed our room to one a lot more usable for someone on crutches without us even asking us. The restaurant and bar staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us to make sure my wife was comfortable and could get around easily. Great choice of food and drinks, and the service was excellent. The rooms are luxurious, clean, and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and we both had a great night's sleep. The rooms come with everything you need for a great stay. Would we stay here again.......... YES We would like to thank all the staff for making us feel welcome and looking after us.”

“We came here after reading a few recommendations, and they were absolutely right! We had the vegetable pakora and the lamb chops for starters, paneer chilli masala, lamb five jewels, pilau rice and kulcha nann. It was all very fresh and super flavourful, the meat was tender, can't fault this meal. Plenty of choice for both carnivores and vegetarians. Friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back!”

“Absolutely fantastic. Warm welcome on arrival and great all round service. We visited on a Thursday which is fish/seafood special night - two courses for £20 - and worked out to be great value. I had five spice calamari followed by Goan fish curry - both were super tasty and cooked to perfection. My other three guests all tried the fish/seafood special but choosing different things and loved it. Really enjoyed our night so highly recommended”

“Fantastic food, cocktails and super friendly staff. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. As first time customers we had everything explained to us as we were seated. The staff gave us tips on how to order the food and dishes that they recommended. They were talkative and made you feel comfortable. The decore of the place is pretty and cosy, with window seats and cushions on benches. Pretty wall decorations and a bar. The food is in the traditional style of Sri Lanka. A wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options as well as a rage of different meat options. They also cater well to allergies. You get food in Tapas style dishes so would recommend getting 4 or 5 dishes to share (that would be enough for 3 or 4 people. All dishes were bursting with flavour but would recommend the lamb curry, stone pot pork and fat sister (a pumpkin and pandan leaf curry) We had a fantastic rum cocktail that involved our waiter setting the top on fire upon arrival, very impressive! Will definitely be back!”

“My nephew and I used this hotel as our base during a trip to Bristol. The location is the best. We had a 2 room suite and it was fantastic. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever. We also had access to the executive lounge, this is a fantastic added extra. Great space with snacks and drinks (including beer and wine at night). The exec lounge also included a full breakfast. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.”

“We have hosted our Office Christmas Party at Zerodegrees in Bristol twice now, and have had extremely positive experiences both times. We are a large group of 300, and the venue was perfect. The event manager Paul was extremely accommodating and couldn't do enough to help, ensuring the party went smoothly. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and ensured we had the best time. The food was great (we opted for a buffet style) and it was perfect for the guests, we had plenty and the venue kept replenishing ensuring food was fresh and we had what we needed. They also took allergies very seriously and ensured everything was clearly labelled. The venue is perfect for a mix of standing and seating, making it accessible for all and great for the whole evening (from eating and chatting earlier in the night, to plenty of room for dancing later on!) Thank you so much to the whole Zerodegrees team for making our night fantastic!”

“Called in on way back from a trip on a Friday evening. Place was empty apart from one table but people back and fore collecting takeaways. Waiter service was very friendly and efficient. We opted for a starter and main and both were the perfect portion size and delicious. I tried the house red wine and this too was fab. We definitely recommend this restaurant, and would return again. There’s just an couple of observations, the interior could do with a little refresh as a bit dated, I would have the bar and reception near the door with a settee for people collecting orders to wait. That would save them walking all through the restaurant which I imagine is a pain when the place is full. The background music was on a loop, seemed to be the same song playing over and over which was a bit annoying by the time we ready to leave. Overall though a pleasant experience and would return, food is fabulous”

“I had the most delicious Pad Thai and Dim sum at In Town Thai. The staff are all friendly and the service was great. There was no wait at all for our food and all of it was so delicious. Would highly recommend coming to try proper authentic thai food here, but there isn't much space inside so you would either need to book ahead if you are a big table or come in a smaller group. The price we paid was a nice surprise as well, the food was really cheap but didnt taste cheap at all!”
