“Couldn’t say more about our stay. Warmly greeted by cheerful and helpful staff. Primary contact at front desk (reception area pictured) during our stay was Charlie - informative and positive. We stayed in Rm 28 which looked over Bath’s recreation field (bowling lawn and croquet field) with Abbey in the distance. Only downside was lack of storage - challenge for us as we had a 5 night stay (seems most folks have shorter stays). The Plate has a good breakfast and dinners were varied and good (had our first Sunday roast beef dinner and it was memorable). Location provides 10-15 minute walkable access to a number of activities (rowing on the Avon, viewed our first cricket match, the Holbourne Museum, and all that Bath proper has to offer). I asked a former co-worker (Brit ex-pat) best place for holiday in Britain and he replied quickly, Bath. The Bird Bath made it that much better. Highly recommend.”

The staff applied the 12.5% service charge after all the discount had come off which is crazy as it left them with a very poor £1.50 tip! Sort that out management. We obviously left a proper tip as the servers, Tillie and Hannah were great and the food (fish pie) best I ever had! Reasonable price for the quality. Better than the Ivy!”
