“We had a lovely evening at Cote. Cote has a really relaxed atmosphere. It was great to be able to have a conversation without too much noise. And it was well lit unlike some restaurants where you can’t read the menu with ease. The food was amazing cooked to perfection with a just right portion size. I had the vegan options which there were lots to choose from. The food arrived really quickly as well. The staff were very friendly and efficient too.”

“We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. I had a nice Welsh Rarebit and a cup of soup, the wife had a jacket potato with lemon tuna mayonnaise. All tasted great. These two meals, a bottle of rhubarb lemon, a bottle of ginger beer and a packet of crisps was less than £30. There was a big range of lovely looking cakes, teas and coffees, but we were a bit full to have anything else.”

“I visited earlier this afternoon, and my experience was amazing and I’d like to praise a staff member, Charlie. He was very efficient and friendly when I asked if they had a shoe in a size 5. I wanted to pay with klarna in store and I’d never done it before and he very helpfully showed me how to do it in a way where I didn’t feel stupid. The payment at the till took much longer than I thought it would because I had to verify my bank account. He was very patient in saying “it’s okay you don’t need to rush there’s no one waiting” and he was understanding in the sense that these things happen. I didn’t feel rushed and he made me feel like a very valued customer. Highly recommend this store and the staff are lovely as always :)”

The only downside is they add a gratuity onto the bill without telling you or even giving you a heads up (we had a party of 4). When questioned this they said that it’s added due to the level of service. I live in Canada (grew up in UK) and when I go to a restaurant, regardless of the service, I always like to choose what I’m going to tip. The sad thing about it was I was going to leave a really nice tip but seeing as this wasn’t disclosed when we received our bill, one of the guests asked them to take it off and I gave the tip but less than what I initially had in mind as I felt this was so sneaky.”

We started going when my daughter was a few months old and it's lovely seeing the different ways she interacts with the environment as she grows, she's now nearly one year old. It was the first place she was excited to go to when she began to recognise the entrance! It's a lovely place to meet other parents and it feels like a safe inclusive environment which was really important to me, as I went not knowing anyone and was having a tough time recovering. Tam is the bringer of magic, she considers so many little details and has a warmth and energy that makes the babies light up. She cares about the parents too and I myself also look forward to seeing her every week. For us it is special and we'll keep coming for a long as we can.”
