“Excellent! I have used Bristol Indian Food & Sweets two years in a row for an end of year get together/party with colleagues. We love the food, hence why we booked a second time. Some people weren't sure if they could come this year, but when they learnt who the caterer was, they were suddenly able to come! :-))) The food is delivered on time, and the communication to arrange the order is good from the get go.”

“We booked the Olive Tree for a family celebration for 28 people. The food and service was excellent throughout. The whole of the downstairs was reserved for us. We had a number of special requests including a member of the group who was severely coeliac. The attention to detail from Louise and Petra to ensure that all requirements were met was excellent. The food was high quality and the meal was good value for money. I would recommend the Olive Tree without hesitation.”

The cocktails were expertly made, and the staff were friendly. Lutsie and Haoran were especially attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. “We stayed for 2 nights at The Yard after our wedding and it was great. The location is fantastic and very central which makes walking to the city centre easy. The rooms are nicely finished and clean with a great bathroom. Really comfortable beds and in a very quiet location too.”

The cheese board also has a great selection of cheeses, and they give you a mountain of crackers. The staff were also lovely and attentive. “Had an amazing lunch here today. After smelling delicious food half way down the road I decided to stop in and give it a try. The food was amazing and worth every penny. The waiters display passion and dedication which I really appreciated. Sitting near the bar and watching the bartender carefully make and serve drinks was a delight. “We had the 7 course tasting menu, I had the farm & sea then my partner had the land option which we shared the lot. Thank God we did as it would have been an incredible shame to miss out on some of the dishes! Every single bite was truly incredible, so many levels of flavour and such perfect combinations, truly hats off to the chef. The wine pairing was such a highlight as well, some very unique wines that fitted perfectly with the dishes but were also devine on their own. The service completed the evening, it was so attentive but not at all in your face, they were both very knowledgeable on the dishes and the wines. They also added a really homely, welcoming vibe which was so refreshing. Far too many places doing this level of food have a element of snobbery which can be off putting but not these two, they made us feel so welcomed and created such a warm environ. Without a doubt would visit again and will be recommending to anyone and everyone!”

“Visited Escala on a Friday night. From the get go the atmosphere was lovely. We had a lovely lady seat us. We ordered a nice bottle of white wine and browsed the menu. The menu has a selection of great choices. Every dish we had was stunning - attached photos with what it is. Really recommend the scallops & sprouts!!”

“This was our second Christmas stay. 3 years ago Christmas Day was pretty chaotic but overall we enjoyed our stay so much that we were quite happy to go back. The room, the service, the staff, the restaurant was excellent. Christmas Day service from Buddy The Elf (Cosmin), Alessandro (Alex) and *all* the staff in the restaurant was superb. I rarely write reviews and am accustomed to moaning about lack of service these days so feel duty bound to say a really big thank you given that we were so well looked after by everyone at The Hotel du Vin Bristol City. “I have to say I am a bit of a fan of the tacos from Tortilla, and is one of my go to places for a light lunch. They make a nice fresh and tasty, but light meal. This time I tried out the branch of Tortilla at Cabot Circus. What I like about the food, is it tastes very fresh, true the chicken has been around for a while, but combined with the fresh salad, salsa, and toppings, they are delicious. Can be a bit messy to eat, so I usually use a fork, but in theory you can eat them by hand. Really enjoyed these tacos and they made a nice lunch.”
