“Absolutely enjoyed this Beefeater. I was there a few days. Great atmosphere and restaurant is cut off from the bar area. I enjoyed Beef and ale pie one night and the next one a lasagne. Both nights we were served by a friendly server named Jenny. She was polite and friendly which made the experience a whole lot better. Thank you so much, we will be back!”

“TGIs is hands down the best bottomless brunch in newport! I absolutely LOVE their June Buy and purple rain. I'm a wheelchair user, and they always accommodate me and take us to a table where I can just wheel up and stay in my chair. The customer's service is also really good, and Isabelle Amelia is so polite to bless her. Happy staff is a credit to the place and the management x”

“We had a lovely breakfast at this local pub this morning after searching for somewhere dog friendly, and it was fantastic! They had great options for both veggie and vegan breakfasts, all cooked beautifully. The food was hot, not greasy, and prepared with care. Prices were excellent, and the service was just as wonderful – friendly, happy, and welcoming. A perfect start to the day, and we’ll definitely be back”

“Not my usual choice but not fussy either so decided to give it a go last minute. Service was outstanding. In particular (didn’t get his name) but the duty manager, tall guy with glasses. His good morning made us feel welcome immediately, he was attentive and really friendly. Service makes the experience for me, food was cheap and cheerful, nothing to write home about but hit the spot for the price. Will definitely consider going again, because of the service.”

“Staff were lovely, good came out impressively fast and portion size was spectacular. I would recommend coming back all staff were very accommodating and polite also well mannered. The food was extremely delicious and came out steaming hot. Just what you look for when going going for food. I have an allergy and felt safe eating here as the person who took my order also ran my food and repeated the allergy to myself which I thought was the best I’ve experienced in a restaurant with my severe allergy. We were a party of four and food all came out the same time which was nice. Will be coming back. Thank you!!”

“Great friendly local(ish) pub. Our son lives in Barry and we often visit and meet at this pub, often with our other son and granddaughters. Food lovely, good selection of drinks, what more could you want??? Plus A decent vegetarian selection for my daughter in law!”

“Mark has been walking our little yet very energetic Westie Holly for the past 6 months every lunchtime, which has been a massive support for us following changes in working patterns. The reassurance that she has a friendly and consistent touch point during the day has been brilliant, particularly given she is our first puppy. Mark is superb with her and she absolutely loves spending time with him and is always excited when its walk time and restful and content afterwards! He is clearly passionate about dogs, reliable, extremely trustworthy and has developed her confidence no end both on walks and through the additional time spent with other dogs. The regular feedback on how she is progressing is great for us to gauge how she is and we couldn’t be happier and neither could Holly. Clearly much more than just a dog walker, his training tips and advice have been invaluable and the knowledge he can accommodate Holly during time away is excellent. A massive thank you Mark!
