“My husband and I recently organised a charity quiz night at this pub in support of Mind UK, and it was an absolute delight. The private function room was just what we needed – spacious enough to accommodate all our teams comfortably while allowing us to seamlessly connect our laptop to the screens for presentations and videos. The stage was a fantastic addition, making it easy to showcase our raffle prizes and extend heartfelt gratitude to our guests. The microphone system was a game-changer, especially when the energy was high and drinks were flowing. It helped rally everyone's attention without a hitch. The private bar was a hit among our guests, offering a fantastic array of drinks, and the fully equipped karaoke machine was an absolute blast. The staff were incredibly kind and supportive throughout, contributing to our successful fundraising efforts for Mind UK. Their assistance was invaluable, and we're already planning to book another event here soon. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our night memorable and for aiding us in raising significant funds for such a crucial cause. Highly recommended for any event needs – they truly go above and beyond!”

“Brilliant food. Brilliant experience. Reiner is a fabulous chef and his food made my experience and the Dai cowboy was unreal. Tara who hosts the speed quiz was Legend "wait for it" ARY Ive been in a few times now for the general quiz and the Speedy quiz and I must say it's spectacular. “Lovely pub in the heart of Llandaff, only a stones throw from the city centre. Amazing Staff, who seemed happy to be there and were extremely attentive. Live music on the weekend is an added bonus, great vibes and reasonably priced drinks help.”

It’s got that perfect mix of comfy corners for a quiet pint and a lively bar when you fancy some good company. A big part of its charm comes from the new landlady, Jen, who’s absolutely fantastic. “Wow, what a Sunday lunch treat! The food is modern pub fare with a bit of a twist but still generous and flavorful. The service was very attentive and kind. I enjoyed the fish and chips a lot and found the reinvented tartare sauce and the unmushed peas great accompaniments. My partner had roast and was thoroughly satisfied. The veggies weren’t soft and overcooked as it sometimes happens with roast sides. Definitely high quality produce prepared with care and thought, and great value for money. 100% recommend!”

“Beautiful beautiful place, worth a getaway and recoup with nearby places to visit including pubs restaurants supermarkets etc you can drive to and from and a lovely walk along the sea wall. The views are amazing, a great place to relax in the sun and a nice firepit to end the night while star gazing! The hosts were amazing, so friendly and helpful, thank you ! “Little Westra welcomed our Beagle with a friendly team. I was shown around the kennels and facilities beforehand, which was reassuring for a first timer. Our dog seemed happy enough after his 8 day stay and did not have too much of the usual kennel smell which has happened at a different kennel. Overall I would recommend Little Westra and will use them again should the need arise.”

“I boarded my two retrievers recently. My girl had never been away from home and was stressed at the initial handover. I need not have worried as both dogs were clean, fluffy and really happy when we collected them. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend.”

The apartment was very clean, well-presented, and offered excellent value for money. The location is spot on – close to everything you’d need, which made my stay really convenient. Prices are pretty standard, staff very attentive and friendly, well presented, food really tasty and fresh veg used, lovely atmosphere. Lovely Sunday lunch. I will be going again when next in Cardiff, you should give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.”

“I have been going to the Highfields for many years, it has an amazing community atmosphere and the people are very friendly. The staff and management are lovely and very welcoming, always ready to have a chat and some laughs. The customer service is excellent. The pub has a large bar, a skittle alley which also has a dart board and a pool table, these are always popular. The lounge has recently been decorated and already hosted some great parties. Highly recommend this pub 10 out of 10!”

Just finished a tenancy with these guys and they are incredibly helpful, punctual, and friendly. The team was always professional, responsive, and attentive to my needs. The property was well-maintained, and any maintenance requests were promptly addressed, usually within 1-2 days. I highly recommend them for a reliable and supportive rental experience. I also had my deposit returned with some reasonable deductions, as they take very thorough photos of their inventory and any existing damages.
