I phoned late afternoon today (22.02.25) to see if they had availability for tyre change due to a puncture and because my lease vehicle is due to be picked up early next week. I only had one request, and this was to treat my alloys with absolute care. These gents went over and above, and undertook the tyre change with complete professionalism, care and respect. The reception staff were extremely helpful and very kindly booked us in straight away. “I don't know why this place was recorded as permanently closed. I would be devastated if it was! So I reported this as incorrect, and now Google shows it as being open again. I've been coming here - with friends, colleagues and family for over 10 years. It's one of the few cafes who will happily swap something you don't like on the set menu, for something you do. If the owners are reading this - you'll hopefully know me, as I always have a large breakfast, and swap the black pudding for an extra hash brown. The staff are so lovely - especially Maria - so patient and calm even if a million things are happening at once. Amazing. The food is never swimming in grease - and it's never too dry - they cook bacon in a way that makes me drool and salivate with every bite! The whole plateful is just divine perfection. They seem to know exactly how I like my food (and that's always slightly overcooked). The coffee is pretty lush too - you don't get a skin on the top - it's a really nice blend. Oh - and the price is right too - I spent £13 on two meals and 3 cappuccinos. Look how much you get!!! But beware - this is a *very* popular cafe - if you don't time it right - you might have to wait for a table - but they'll squeeze you in somehow!”

“Due to the power of TikTok, I travelled from Stoke on Trent for a hair appointment with Glam Weave and it was 100% worth the journey. The staff are warm and welcoming, studio is bright and clean, seating is comfy and the range of hair colours is excellent. The lady that did my hair was quick and precise, she did an amazing job on my hair to the point that I've been stopped several times and asked where I got it done. Everyone in there was welcoming and the owner is a sweetheart! Tip- research parking before you arrive as most of it is 1 hour stay or residential permit only. Disabled parking is available but scattered about!”

“I first used Mardy Motors because they were within walking distance. Now I'd stick with them even if I moved to the other side of the city. They work fast and well. Never had an issue trying to book a slot for an MOT, and when my car broke down outside what Google claims their hours are, they told me to bring it in straight away. They're upfront about costs before replacing parts and their prices are fair. Parking can be a little tight when they're busy, but every time I've had issues with this, someone has come and pointed out a suitable spot to me.”

“We have used Park Vets for the past 25+ years and always found them excellent. Over the last nine months our dog Harry who was 15 under went an operation on his neck. It was a great success and he bounced out of it, with a new lease of life. Sadly he was taken ill in July and it was decided he would have teeth out. Following tests it was found he was a very poorly boy. We made the sad decision for him to be put to sleep. Through all of this the practise were excellent, in particular Michaela made this sad process easier to bear. All staff were so lovely and supportive. I would recommend them to everyone.”
