“This is our favourite and go to for a breakfast. The food is always consistently good. The staff are friendly and approachable. Great if you have children as well. It's usually quite busy because it's popular - BECAUSE ITS GOOD. Would recommend to others. Good prices as well. ❤️”

“The food was incredible, the staff were really friendly & we felt it was fairly good value. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience & we'll definitely order from there again - it certainly lives up to the high standards set by the previous owners. The taste of the food was very refined & had a lot of different flavours - I found myself wanting to lick the plate clean, it was that good! The portion sizes felt a little smaller than we were used to, especially compared to the previous owners, but mainly on the rice & nann - it certainly didn't feel like they skimped on the meat or fish in the mains though. In-fact, my wife commented that for a fish curry, you usually just get a few small flakes, whereas from here she had some very large chunks - very impressed.”

“Great looking menu pity we were the only gusts there at the time. Would loved to have had a chat with the wonderful Polish people. We intend to visit Poland on our next adventure and would have liked to have had some tips and pointers on places to visit and food to try. “It was the lads Christmas party and decided to come to the Bull Shed for our meal. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lively. Although we had to wait between courses, we had a lot of catching up to do. The lamb chop was worth that wait.”

“Went there for Sunday lunch with the family. One dog, a toddler and a baby with 5 adults. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was great and the atmosphere was really nice. Seems to attract nice, unpretentious but intelligent customers. Definitely go back.”

“I went here at around 11:30am for a Breakfast Cob, I had 2 hash browns, bacon. All was cooked amazingly, hash browns were wonderful and soft and bacon was probably the best I've ever tasted (no joke). Please go here if you need food in Tutbury!”

“Lovely large pub, very clean and tidy. Plenty of seating indoors and outside, and plenty of drink choices. This pub is very well known for keeping great beer so is a must for any ale drinkers, they've won many awards. It does get very busy especially at weekends, but has a lovely friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit”

“Myself and my partner were travelling for a Rally and wanted to go up night before. I rang here and they said staying over in Motorhome wasn't a problem as long as we had a meal and drinks which wasn't a problem for us. Rang on the way on Thursday 29/05/2025 to confirm and was told maybe busy due to Classic car show which is held there on Thursday nights (but do ring to confirm this). But we were still welcome. The place as drove in was amazing with big lake view. We parked up and went in and was greeted by friendly, welcoming lovely staff and owners. James and his team really helpful and friendly. We bought drinks which was reasonably priced. We had the carvery which was absolutely amazing and so tasty and hot definitely worth the money. The place is so clean and tidy. The whole building inside and outside is lovely to look at. There is plenty of seating inside and outside with garden seating area overlooking the lake. Plenty of parking. The walk around the lake was nice and seeing all the ducks and Canadian geese. There is fishing allowed and rules which are in view. We are hoping to stop here again in few weeks. So if travelling and want to stop for night give them a ring. Cannot fault this place. Definitely going again and recommend. Reading the history of the building is interesting. Nice village to travel through. We woke to amazing view and so quiet in the night.. They also cater for various functions..”

“Amazing venue, the decor is a riotous mixture Hollywood and middle east the food is Amazing and great value for money, The thing that really makes it special is the warmth of the welcome from the super friendly, helpful and perfectly polite staff in particular Navpreet who was too modest to appear in the pictures.”

“Been there 3 times now and can say everytime I have gone the food has been amazing! I have been with company too. We've tried the pizza, burgers, hot honey chicken, beef stroganoff and all of it has tasted so good. The chef's are so talented. For the cost and for what it is, it's just presented perfectly to me. “I've been a fan of Zaza's for many years now, it's my go-to place when I crave a spicy kebab. But it's only recently that I've discovered that they have a lottery wheel whenever you spend £15! My last order was just below the threshold but the lady was generous to allow me to have a go at it anyway and it turned out the most memorable trip for a kebab in my recent memory!”

“We hadn't visited for a few year's, but I used to bring my grandmother regularly for lunch before she went in a nursing home. Booking there today after her funeral was the perfect farewell. We booked a table for 7 people, we had a mixture of the main menu and the festive menu. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and excellent value for money. It was a lovely atmosphere and we had the loveliest of servers. Thank you so much, we will make sure we return more often”
