βBeautiful view at night and nice street art along the canal β¨β
βSuch a beautiful location. We had the castle view and it was awesome! But what made our trip was the front desk - Alasdair! My mother and I loved him. He is very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and we always hoped he was at the front desk when we came by. We will book again just for him because he truly loves his job/Edinburgh and you feel it from the moment he greets you!β
βWe stayed at Motel One Edinburgh-Royal in The One with View room, and it was absolutely perfect. The view was breathtaking β exactly what I had hoped for when planning our trip. After arriving from London, stepping into that room instantly washed away the fatigue and made me smile. The location couldnβt have been more convenient: just steps from Waverley Station, close to the airport bus stop, and within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile and other main attractions. Whether travelling by train, bus, or plane, this hotel is ideally situated β for us, having arrived by train and flying out later, it couldnβt have been more perfect. The hotel was stylish, peaceful, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and check-in was effortless after a long journey. As a non-native speaker, I wish I couldβve expressed my gratitude to them more fully in person β they truly made our stay wonderful. Iβd love to return to the same room on my next visit to Edinburgh.β
βThe best cinema in Edinburgh. This is a large cinema with all kinds of cool screens. Their standards screens are definitely above average in size. Always showing the new films for a good amount of time. Then thereβs the only IMAX screen in Edinburgh. 100 feet and so immersive! And lately the new 4DX theatres, really surprised me! The seats shake and rotate like you canβt imagine, but timed very well to the movies. They spray water, smoke and scents. Itβs very fun!β
βThe chap at the bar- Lewis - was great. He was really friendly and welcoming. Nice pub/ bar feel on top floor and then ultra modern underground pool room with cool lighting on the bottom floor. Great atmosphereβ
βWas going to add a pic of our food but it was so tasty it was gone before I even remembered! Mega was very attentive, asking our drinks order and clearing our plates with a smile. Heβs a real credit to the place and made us feel so welcome, thanks Mega!β
βVisited for a few drinks while having a mini break in Edinburgh. Managed to get a window seat and looking onto Princess Street. Warm, comfortable and inviting environment. Staff were attentive and friendly. Cocktails were lush. Initially only wanted a couple of drinks but ended up ordering the three small plates from the menu, I am so glad we did! They were all yummy! The beef Wellington tacos were amazing! Will definitely return on our next visit to Edinburghβ
βA great little pub in Marchmont with regular tradition music sessions by musicians who really know what theyβre doing. Slow in the afternoon but picks up around 4:30. Nice German beers on tap.β
βThe sandwiches at the pub quiz are great as that's the food the service. Service and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and professional. It's a friendly pub and everyone is welcome. I highly recommend the quiz on a Thursday 50pp entry but that includes sandwiches or recently fantastic pizzas and a chance of winning at least Β£50. Adam's questions can however be a bit questionable but the forfeit round makes it a lot more interesting. We have however managed to win on 3 occasions in the last year.β
βLove my uncles pub great memories great laff with the Barr staff great pint the heritage great brings me back to being a kid standing looking in as a kid looking for uncle frankβ
βSame owners as Bennets Bar and similar vibe. Cozy, rustic, authentic. Popular and crowded for a reason. Great selection of beer and whiskeys. Great corner pub for a pint either after work or during any time of day. A fun experience and certainly a great escape during a rainy day.β
βWe had originally booked a trip to Glasgow and Edinburgh to see Conflict, unfortunately Colin Jerwood passed a few days before. La Belle Angele managed to organise a tribute gig for the same night in his memory, so we attended the event. It was a pretty decent night, not very busy, which was to be expected. All 5 bands were up for the gig and everyone played to the best of their capabilities. Yeah, a couple weren't exactly to our tastes but they made the effort and we'll always respect that. The barstaff were great, obviously it wasn't busy, but they were very quick to serve and very polite. Yeah, no complaints about anything. We were still reeling from the unfortunate demise of the Guvnor.β
βI was on a visit to Edinburgh Xmas Market first over a few days with my granddaughter we were told to come and eat here by my daughter while down here we had the best experience and the atmosphere was amazing I love anything Rock N Roll staff were fantastic as well as the food cocktails are great they have mocktails tooβ
βRyze is less a trampoline park and more a glorious, modern-day gladiator arena for children. Itβs a truly magical place where kids can run free and jump about like absolute idiots, and the staff are perfectly on hand to deal with the inevitable joint dislocations, so it's all good on that front. For the adults, the seating provided is truly a sight to behold. Itβs beautiful, comfortable, and often comes with a complementary sheen of kid sweat and droolβa testament to how much fun the little ones are having. It's a fantastic place to spend a few hours, assuming you enjoy the sight of pure, unadulterated chaos. A great place overall!β
βOnly open when shows are on... better if regular ticket office hours, say if open when bistro is open Great bar and seated area Good variety of artists, films and community shows Acoustics and staff are superβ
βA very understanding and helpful manager who went above and beyond when he heard that I had driven 20 miles to get the items for an Edinburgh Fringe Show. Now I will go to Hobbycraft first when looking for anything arts and crafts.β
βFree country park ,trout fishing available or just a nice place to chill or walk the dogβ
βNot only is the place fun filled and a great place to spend the day, it's also community orientated. They have kindly gifted a donation to one of the local schools for their Christmas Fayre. Highly recommend whether its a day out with the family or a fun filled catch up with a friend/colleague.β
βBrilliant place for a birthday venue with plenty of spaceβ
βMost friendly and helpful staff . Pauline runs the place well . Goes above and beyond . Priced well for hall hire or classesβ
βCame here as a tourist with my 3yr old and my friend who is local and her 1 year old. We had a lovely time! Lots of safe options for kids of all ages and abilities to play. My son had an amazing time. Snacks/drinks available but it's expensive!β

βThe space itself is great. The organizers had a good idea but a bad execution: plastic cups that are not disposable, but you have to buy them! You donβt get your money back after using. The idea was a mess, because people were not able to take them home so they landed in the waste bin.β
βWe got married at Marlins Wynd on the 21st of November and it was honestly the most magical day of our lives. Venue is just stunning, the food was lovely and the staff are just wonderful, helpful and so attentive. Huge thank you to Caroline, Dylan and the rest of the team who did everything to help with the planning of our day, looking after us and our guest on the day and all the little details in-between. Thank you so much β€οΈβ
βHave helped my family with form filling and advice so kind and helpful wish more people in the Community would support this great placeβ
βStaff are extremely attentive and will have a friendly chat with you. Quick service and no extended waiting times.β
βAn amazing local resource for the people of Uphall and Broxburn, providing a meeting venue for diverse community groups. Includes a large meeting/sports hall, IT room, and kitchen facilities connected to side meeting room. Outside are an adjacent green space and children's play areas.β
βI've taken part in a Winter Crafts Fair there, and from what I saw it's a brilliant venue with friendly staff, and good facilities.β
βGood toddlers group Tuesday morningβ
βAmazing place to go for a quiet drink and socialise without any trouble, everyone is really friendly and welcomingβ
