“Stayed over a couple of nights while taking a short vacation back home, perfect location for walking to see the Forth Rail and Road bridges, with a glorious view of the new Queensferry crossing just a couple of minutes walk away. There is a Tesco and a McDonald's nearby too. Staff were lovely, hotel room was pleasant and clean, extra heater provided in room if it got chilly, tower fan if it got a bit too hot in summer (when I went). I'd definitely recommend anyone visiting to see the attractions, use this hotel as a stop over. It's lovely”

“I come to this Nando’s nearly every week with my partner and daughter, Love the food but I’m giving this review too a man named James, we come in and out can tell this guy loves and cares about his role in the company, Always happy, always spares a couple minutes to ask about our week and goes the extra mile to give us a great service every time. The rest of the staff are great too - but James really stands out for me. Thanks to Nando’s at straiton for delivering every time.”

All our meals were absolutely delicious thanks to chef Andrew. From Receptionist to waiting staff, house keepers a big thank you to you all for looking after us. We’d definitely recommend Royal Mile and we’d like to stay again some time soon. Xx”

“Quietly located just off the Royal Mile and 5 minutes walk to Holyroodhouse palace. Room is comfy and a bit spacious. Early check in was granted at no cost. All staff at the reception were great as well as Megan at the restaurant.”

“Absolutely exquisite, really good turkey that. Very much enjoyed my Sunday roast, lots and lots of fun. I will be returning hey there! the other person at the table here. that sunday roast was sublime. I was genuinely brought to tears by the flavours that exploded on my tongue, a true burst of warmth, comfort and of course nostalgia. I too WILL be returning.”

“Love place for drinks and watching the footy. The little huts outside are great for a small group with its own tv and table service makes it ideal for the match. Food was great too and not bad value for a capital city pub bang in the middle of the city centre”

“Had a great time here! Everything was great as expected. Only downside is that getting a Taxi might take a little, so if you are in a hurry plan for some extra minutes. The staff is realy helpful with this. Breakfast was also good! Nothing too fancy but there are enough options to please everyone”

“Might have to wait for your delivery but the fact it's piping hot when it arrives only means it's fresh cooked. Food was fantastic I recommend it to a large group so was a bit worried they might not approve. But happy to say they all loved it”

“Always have the basics that you need. We are able to get meat, milk, bread, herbs, jams, veggies, sandwiches, etc. right here in our local store instead of taking a longer trip. Love this place”

“Really lovely staff - a guy was harassing me (I think he was just eccentric, but he wouldn't back off when it was clear that I was uncomfortable) while I was in line and the co-op staff were amazing: Nice Person A scanned through my stuff as quietly and quickly as possible, Nice Person B checked that I was okay afterwards, and Nice Manager was more than happy for Nice Person A to walk me back to a place I felt safe. Thank you very much!! Additionally, the shop has all the essentials and a good range of products, and it's very easy to get to.”

“Shop is very useful and just opened this year so they're getting used to the customer wants and nots. Very friendly staff and managers who gets the shortfall of products in when you ask. That's good service and why I'll prefer to shop at them rather than the chain stores because they've become too complacent and this store has a nice variety of wines and beverages.”

“Biggest Co-op I've ever been in, looks very modern and fancy. The staff are really nice and there is a wide selection of things to buy. Wouldn't recommend going a full shopping here as it can be quite expensive. They offer a 10% discount if you have a young Scot card, And 5% cashback if you get a members card.”

“Perfect room. Amazing bed. Bathroom spotless. Staff helpful, friendly, and efficient. Breakfast very, very good. Evening meal menu ok, if you lije American-style food, such as brioche buns, sickly bbq sauces, and frozen veg. Fish and chips very nice, pizza is the best value. Don't have any warmed-up desserts, they're blasted in the microwave and either rock hard or the chocolate is burnt. Definitely stay here again, though, the beds are fantastic.”

“You can never go wrong with a Premier Inn! Really enjoyed our stay here for a short get-away with our friends to Edinburgh for the Christmas Market. Rooms excellent as always with friendly, helpful staff. We didn't have food in the hotel restaurant, there's obviously lots of options nearby. Uber Eats / Just Eat have lots of delivery options to the hotel too. Slightly 'out of it' in terms of location, 20 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station and the city centre. Not really a problem though, as we never waited more than 10 minutes for a cab into the city.”
