“Wow! What a great dinner! After having looked to book a table at several other places for dinner and coming up short - we decided to book a table here! Using the 3 snacks for £14 deal (+ some sides and drinks) we had a great, filling meal for 2 for only £23! the snacks were great value and the waiters were very friendly. I WILL be coming back!”

“Popped in here today on our way home from Go Ape. We were welcomed by a friendly local who told us where to sit for food. The staff didn't take long to locate us a table for 5 and we were seated within minutes. We placed our order and food started coming out within a reasonable time. Unfortunately there is no kids menu but there is half portions available on some of the main menu. Or as the server said, just ask and they will do chicken nuggets or fish fingers, no problem. All of the food that we had was really good and we had lots of clean plates. We will defo be back when we are back around this area.”

“Came as a family for our dinner last week and was absolutely blown away, each of us ordered different meals and not a single person left disappointed. Food was incredible, portions were generous and the staff were lovely. Shoutout especially to the chef Darren and the head manager too as they went above and beyond for us during our visit. “Lovely warm atmosphere, country style pub with nice food. We had amazing customer service from our hostess Robin and I can’t comment enough on how helpful, attentive and nice she was. My only slight issue would be the wait we had for our food to arrive. But would definitely return”

“The char on the porterhouse was great! This is steak done right on the pan, better than sous vide. The sauces were also memorable. Our favourites were the blue cheese and the bone marrow sauce. The chimichurri helped cut away the monotony of beef, fries and the savoury sauces. It provided the tangy, spicy flavours necessary to finish the 800g steak. The best deal was that on Tuesdays, the porterhouse was going for £50 with 2 fries and 3 sauces, instead of the usual £80. The happy hour earl grey martini was also refreshing and a great pairing to cleanse the palette after the meal!”

“Went to the breakfast with santa morning and it was amazing! My wee boy really enjoyed it! The staff were fantastic the breakfast rolls were really good! My son really enjoyed the pancakes and bananas, it was well organised, everything was just spot on! was definitely worth every penny!”

Unassuming from the front this restaurant offered us the freshest food, made to order with absolutely stunning presentation. Welcoming of our young family and very friendly staff made this meal out relaxing from the start! We ordered three different meals and several side dishes. All were beautifully presented and made with the freshest ingredients. Absolutely will be back and so very happy that we found this little gem in the big city!! “It was a cold wet night. Not many folk were about and we enjoyed what we set out for, a quiet candle lit dinner for 2. Our waitress was very kind and helpful and while not the normal busy atmosphere the vibe I caught was of staff who worked hard and try to set a good standard. The food was excellent.”
