“We stayed in the hotel only for one night. Clean and tidy. Check in wa fast and without any issues. Room with kettle and basic supplies, cofee, tea etc. Towels and storage available. Only downside I would say is the noise. Windows are very old. Wind and noise from the outside is coming through. Bus stop next to the hotel so it is easy and convenient way to travel accross teh city. Shoping centre near by if you want to buy some basic supply or eat outside. Overall, good value!”

“Great value for the price. It was cheaper than most hostels, even for a private room for two. The room and bathroom were clean and cozy. The furniture isn’t the newest, but it has a nice retro charm. The location is very good – after a 10-minute walk through the park, you can catch a tram straight to the city centre. The receptionist was also very kind and helpful.”

“Excellent place, without breaking the bank. We had everything we needed, loved the room decor, seemed modern yet traditional. Very clean, prompt service, accommodating to our requests. Location was perfect, great for walking to all historic attractions, close to all the excitement, but also to the train station to run up to St. Andrews or wherever. There is some construction around but it didn't interfere with functionality.”

“Very nice one-bedroom cottage. It consists of a very comfortable large bed, with a mirrored wardrobe and drawer space. The kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, grill, microwave, washing machine, and dishwasher. The living space has comfortable seating, a tv, and a dining area. There is a train station close by within 5 minutes drive. It has free parking. If the parking is full, there is a large car park about 15 minutes away. It is a 30- 40 minute train journey into Edinburgh Waverley.”

“A wonderful guesthouse in Edinburgh: They literally make you feel at home (not just because you have to do the dishes). They give you a key to the house so you can come and go as you please. Enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast. I highly recommend the guesthouse for the excellent service, as it seems to be run by the owners. Clean rooms with everything you need. If you want something 'good, nice, and cheap,' this is a great option. Just a few meters away, you can wait for the bus that takes you to the center of Edinburgh (museums, galleries, the castle, The Whisky Experience). For economists, it's within walking distance of Adam Smith's grave and much more.”
