“We've been traveling in the UK for a couple weeks and wanted to get a little taste of home. Rice Time did just that. Our party of 7 had a great lunch and my pickiest eater was delighted with his Bento Box B. Between the Pho Love, Red Curry Chicken, and Noodle (black pepper Udon & Soba) dishes we all walked out very satisfied and comforted on a blustery Scottish day. If you go I highly recommend the red curry, bento box, and black pepper Udon, although everything was delicious.”

“We absolutely loved our pitas from this wonderful place today! Both of us ordered the pork pita, and the balance of flavors was wonderful! These things are a full meal with layered levels of flavor. The tzatziki sauce was particularly on point… But really everything was! They put a bit of extra seasoning on top just before either handing it to you, or putting it in a bag, the choice is yours. By the way, I advise getting it bagged. That way, you can rip open the top a little at a time and eat it with a fork :-) The pita becomes an edible plate. Prices were very reasonable with each Peter wrap coming in at £6.50 with water at £1.40. The food was super fresh and very well-made. But beyond that, the service was friendly and we enjoyed a great chat with the staff. Other customers even joined in, and we had Good chuckles all around. When you’re doing the museum circuit on the west end of town, this should definitely be top of your list for lunch. There are plenty of benches around the park nearby and there a few chairs provided at the MacTassos.”

“I enjoyed lunch here today. Food is well priced and service was alright. It’s a small Chinese food shop and the food is so fresh. It’s traditionally made so I liked that it didn’t taste like the typical ‘westernized’ Chinese takeaway. Food tasted fresh. The price is really fair tbh and the staff was helpful with the menu. The menu is very limited I must say. I wanted the shrimp dumpling but it wasn’t available, went for the shiitake ones and it was great. We spent £50 pounds and this covered tea, dumplings and mains and an extra serving of dumpling. Also the portion size is amazing and we ended up not finishing our portions.”

“I was given a gift voucher by my workmates for my birthday. They know I love seafood and my friend from work recommends this restaurant and goes regularly. My partner enjoys steak and so we decided on the Wednesday Surf 'n' turf menu. Absolutely excellent. The staff were attentive, conversational and cared about providing good service. Cosy and non pretentious. The food was exceptional. Every single element was cooked to perfection. The meal I had was one of the best I have ever had in any restaurant. They obviously care deeply about the quality of the food they serve. I'm now planning to return very soon for the full seafood experience This place is a gem!”

“What a delight to eat at this beautiful restaurant. My husband and I turned up without reservations today after a tough morning following a bereavement to try and take our minds off our sadness. The restaurant owner pulled out all the stops to find us a table, and his kind and friendly manner instantly lifted our spirits. The food was the best we have ever eaten, the staff were so attentive and clearly very happy in their work, and the other customers were obviously in their happy places too. “Really nice risotto and pizza. Pistachio meringue needs a rethink it was hard and very dry, but lovely staff, free liqueur at end and my salmon risotto was delicious. Wine nicely chilled. 2 courses and bottle wine for 2 was 60 quid so very reasonable.”

The mushrooms were crispy, and bibimbap sauce as well as the kimchi were definitely the highlights - the flavours were well-balanced and complimented the meal. “Just wow, me and my partner decided to give Tempura 2go a try today and we are not disappointed, ordered for 16.20 order was ready for exactly 16.20. Woman on the counter was lovely and polite. Got the food home and upon opening the box we couldn’t believe the amount of food! We are both very impressed as former chefs ourselves we don’t get takeaway a lot as we tend to be able to make it ourselves or don’t enjoy it if we do get something but we will definitely be back here !! We got the salt and chilli munchie box, food was hot and delicious 100% recommend to anyone who may be passing or fancies something tasty for dinner. The munchies box can defo feed 4 easily we have a lot of left over.”
