“Both our dishes were very tasty but after living and working in Thailand, I expected this Thai restaurant to serve Pad Thai with wide flat rice noodles "sen lek" but they either cut them very thinly or they used spaghetti noodles, it was very hard to tell ? The Thai green curry was nicely presented but should have been served in 2 bowls, with more green curry sauce. As you would expect from a mainly Thai staffed restaurant, the staff and the service was perfect. Lovely seating areas with individual seating bays on the entry level, plus a few bays elevated up, giving a great dining experience. The restaurant decoration is very nicely done.”
“Absolutely lovely. Excellent people and excellent food! I had the mutton curry and then the chocolate sponge - both were actually fantastic. Would come here every day if I could!!”
“Always good service, with a smile as well. Selection is always good with good pricing. We shop here for home and business often.”
“My First time at a Wagamama & i can truly say if there was a Phoenix in every one id go every day! Phoenix was so helpful & if she didn’t know she would go & ask to ensure we had the correct information. A great asset to the Team. My Salmon noodles were lovely. We will return next time in Edinburgh.”
“Been coming here for a few years now must admit its my go to for Chinese. Never had a bad meal yet .staff at the front off the shop are always welcoming and polite if you need something extra or a meal tweaked. They are happy to try and accommodate your needs. Plus gives my cooker a wee rest.”
“Absolutely lovely experience in an old fashioned Hong Kong style cafe. Food was very homely, the tomato, egg and beef was perfectly done. The French toast was also on point. The owner was very friendly and super attentive. Would definitely go back.”
“We found this place by complete accident. We are thrilled that we went here from the first moment we were well taken care of. Everything was explained to us how it works the beer was great tasting and well chilled food -stunning selection there is no chance to taste it all in one go there is so much to try... Everything I tasted...was delicious. Thank you we will definitely be back.”
“We were pleasantly surprise to find a place in Edinburgh which served "all you can eat" buffet and there was plenty of vegetarian food. Not only there was continental food but a lot of Indian including Dosa, mutter paneer, chili paneer, dal tadka, pani puri, bhel, pav bhaji and a lot more. Desserts included Jalebi and Gulab jamun. A very courteous team of people who were willing to help at every step. Absolutely awesome experience.”
“Tried for the first time last night and it got to say it's the best Chinese food I've had in a long time il definitely be back. Can't wait to try the Thai menu next time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Great service at Makro – special thanks to Lesley! Always a great experience shopping at Makro – the store is well-stocked, organised, and perfect for bulk buying. But what really makes the difference is the staff, especially Lesley. She’s incredibly helpful, friendly, and always goes the extra mile to make sure customers are looked after. Whether it’s helping with stock queries or just offering a warm smile at the checkout, Lesley is a true asset to the team. Her customer service is top-notch and really stands out in a busy retail environment. Thanks again to Lesley and the Makro team for consistently excellent service!”
“Excellent and delicious food. Great customer service and value for money. Ended my trip to Edinburgh with delicious meal and warm hospitality. A must visit place”
“We had a lovely family lunch with my 94 year old mother who needs a wheelchair. It was really easy for her and the service was fantastic and they made it very pleasurable. The food was excellent as was the wine. Maybe the plates could have been a wee bit warmer but the food was delicious. Definitely will go back.”

“I had a fantastic experience at Chaska Indian Restaurant in Edinburgh. The food was absolutely delicious – full of authentic flavours and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal. A special mention to Raj and Kiran, who provided amazing service throughout – they were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. Their hospitality really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!”
“Came all the way from Glasgow and the food did not dissipate at all! So so yummy with HUGE portions! The service from RANGA was so amazing! Made the journey even more worthwhile! Will definitely revisit! Thank you so much”
“Absolute pleasure dining here. Great service, delicious food. I felt so calm and relaxed. Paul and other servers were lovely. The cod, oysters, and apple tarte were my favorites.”
“Good food, guick service, a little too hot in the restaurant but overall very nice, complements to the chef and Kasia who served me.”
“Won't be everybody's cup of tea 'cos slightly quirky. A wonderful combination of food drink and eccentricities. Less than £100 with a good tip & ½l of wine. Moussaka and Beef with aubergine where both fantastic. "Very nice Orange Cake" says the wife Both enjoyed the complementry ouzo & 'amuse' to start too. A must return I my book”
“We visited here twice a day!! My kids love his food!! It is the best chicken in Edinburgh. Highly recommend! They'd love Kobayashi dog also! The owner gave free two pocketmon ball cookies and pocketmon cards for my kids. Very generous service!!”
“Can't believe I've never came here before. Been seriously missing out. This is hands down the best and most authentic neopoliton pizza in Edinburgh. It's not even a competition. The dough was perfectly cooked. Light. Crispy. Tasty. The quality of the bread in general was just amazing. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was great too. Perfect for a date night, or special occasion. If you are a pizza guy like me then this is a must visit in Edinburgh. I would imagine that you will be as impressed as i was. 10/10”
“The food is so good! I had the scallop strawberry kelp dish and the lobster creme brûlée. I should have taken pics it was so good. Their homemade bread was amazing too!”
“I absolutely love this restaurant, this is was my second visit and it was just as good as the first. The staff were very accommodating when I asked to move to another table (there was nothing wrong with the table, I just wanted to move to a booth) and of course the food was absolutely delicious. A highlight was the octopus and the pork chop. I had a dirty martini which was super strong (be warned haha!) and our waiter was friendly and answered our questions about the food. I can't sing their praises enough, I would come here every week if i could!”
“We visited LaSalute just after the new owners taken over. I had been before and found it lovely. I was pleased to see it had been renovated to a high standard. I had the mushroom bruschetta and mushroom pasta done in a tomato pasta sauce My son had the calamari followed by chicken in white wine sauce. We both had a lovely meal and will be back to samle a desert next time as was stuffed. Good luck to the new owners, we will definitely be back”
“Great view! Service was with a smile. Portion size is just right so you can actually finish your meal! Beautiful french food.”
“Food was excellent and very well priced. Place is busy! Went on a Monday evening and was lucky to get a table. Very loud inside. The decor could maybe do with an update. Would recommend booking!”
“Delicious linguine with pistachio pesto pancetta and proper cappuccino. Can taste the quality incidents and pasta was al dante. Friendly people. Quick service. Would be back again soon.”
“I came to Edinburgh for 3 days and really wanted to have fish and chips by the beach. And it was amazing! The portion was too big for me though, so I took my time before I finished it, haha. It was so delicious! Totally recommend. If you are not really hungry, though, you might want to consider taking a small (kid's size) portion, which is just £5.”
“We went to hike Arthur Hill and while coming back, we chose the quickest way to Princess Streat. At the Meadowbank House bus station, we have this little treasure. When you walk into this place, you feel welcome. You feel special. You feel good. The owner welcomes you with a smile and lovely food recommendation. Even offered us free tea to sip while the food was being prepared. Very generous. Scotland weather and tea are meant to be best friends. I've ordered their momos with hot sauce and a chicken chowmin. Both turned out great and I am feeling so good heading into the rain. Thank you for the great meal and hospitality!”
“The type of charming local cafe that is sadly all too rare these days, serving a wonderful mix of traditional Scottish dishes and cafe fair with some authentic turkish options. The food is freshly and lovingly prepared to order delivered quickly and with relish. The prices are surprisingly reasonable given the quality. Staff very warm and welcoming and happy to cater to preferences. Ample seating inside and some charming outside tables give it s real Mediterranean feel in the Costa del nitten. Owner passionate about food and pleasing his customers. Only single downside is having to wait awhile for a table as it is so loved by the local community that it's always busy, which is the biggest green flag for a cafe one can give. Highly recommend.”
“We had a delicious Thai dinner for three yesterday. Best I’ve tasted outside Thailand. Also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, but be aware that it’s not really a restaurant though they have tables and high stools to sit at.”
