    Elia Greek Restaurant

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Closed

“A lovely, dog friendly restaurant with a varied menu to suit many tastes. The house wine was lovely as were the meals. We dined very early, so it was fairly quiet and we were lucky to get so much attention from the staff .... especially our dog who was made a real fuss of. The food was well cooked and just what we expected with good portions. My wife's vegetarian meal looked wonderful and she said it tasted really good. We would certainly go there again.”

Has a cafe with ok ish coffee. Vibrant open space with good use of eye catching colour. The chimney in the hidden garden is just a glorious view of industry gone but not forgotten. Please pay a visit to this place. It's pure ded brilliant. Photos attached.”

    Beacon Arts Centre

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Open

“Having never been before I really enjoyed the experience. The centre was easy to find and surrounded with plentiful free street parking. Inside the attractive building was well laid out, and had a very nice bar restaurant with reasonably priced drinks. The auditorium was comfortable and cosy. The real stand-outs for me however, were the staff, who were all very helpful and friendly. Overall, a great wee theatre.”

“Dancing shoes. First time experiencing this. True to the name scotch pie or vegan sausage roll on offer along with a drink included in the price. The play was gripping. Three actors on stage held the audience in their hands. Have paid more for far less enjoyable performance. Can’t recommend this highly enough.”

“Wonderful experience. Nice staff, welcoming as well, the café was a nice moment while we waited for the tour. It deserved a visit to have knowledge of Alexander Thomson and all his buildings around Glasgow. Just I personally don't think it is a good choice to create a rivalry with Mackintosh during the video. It's a totally different era, Thomson is one of the expressions of the New Classical style in 1850. Mackintosh started the 1900 with a real new style. Glasgow and his rich history deserve a common commitment.”

“My 9 year old son has been with GKPA since he was a junior and it has been amazing for him. His confidence has grown immeasurably, from being too scared to go on stage for a small show to now being the 'bad guy' in thr GKPA panto has been incredible. He's made great friends of all ages and backgrounds as well as learning new skills. The opportunities he has had have been fantastic, from performing in various local theatres, both with his group and with external artists to work shopping with performers from the West end stage. I can recommend GKPA highly enough!”

    Theatre School Of Scotland

“What can I say, it’s such an amazing school. Outstanding teachers. Reece is absolutely lovely. My daughter has autism and I was so scared about my child starting as everyone in the school are so amazing at what they do. I wanted my daughter to build confidence and excel as she loves to perform on YouTube. I didn’t think they had experience with kids with autism but they proved me wrong and treated my daughter like she was just a person and not treat her any different. I am proud of who my daughter has become. If you want to start your autistic kids in musical theatre or any acting or singing & dancing theatre school of Scotland is the one. Reece is a lovely guy and he treats his students with respect including the parents. He’s not also the founder but he is there for every single kid and takes their education seriously. I have the time and day for Reece and all of the teachers there. Thank you to everyone at theatre school of Scotland.”

“GKPA is an amazing performance arts school. My daughter joined a year ago and has had loads of great opportunities and experiences. She has attended West end shows, performed in shows and even been to New York. Also has been given the opportunity to go to Canada next year. All the staff are so professional and work extremely hard to provide all the kids with great opportunities to assit them with their confidence. My daughter loves attending and her confidence has grown so much. I would highly recommend GKPA”

“Our first time here and we will be back. My grandson paid for the diamond lounge option. Well worth the money. Our staff member, Gary, was excellent. Explained everything we needed to know. Having access to the Ambassador Lounge was fantastic. If you have the opportunity to have this option, I would highly recommend it. The only downside to the visit was the legroom in row A of the balcony. The seats and view are great, but the legroom is very limited. I have arthritis in both knees and had difficulty finding a comfortable seating position. That said, we will be back again at some time in the future.”

“Went to see Avatar in 4DX and half way through the film the screen broke. The staff were very apologetic, had to reset the screen and chairs and took about 15 mins to get everything sorted again. I've never had this happen before in the cinema but the staff were trying their best and it was no ones fault. At the end of the film everyone recieved a free cinema voucher while the staff again apologised for the issues. Other than the cinema was very good, the 4DX experience is great and would definitely come again.”

Actually some stunning views from the lobby. The theater was clean. The sound was very good. The quality of the projection was solid.”
