“I don't have any pictures but this is a lovely garden centre. The restaurant is nicely set out and the food is plentiful and delicious. I personally had the steak pie with mash and vegetables. Very tasty and recommend.”

“I often come here with the kids for a quick and relatively cheap dinner. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Was served by Sally on Tuesday and forgot to mention that I wanted the vegan version of a pizza, however was no issue when I realised my mistake.”

“This is a good Chinese restaurant with really friendly staff and a menu with a good range of options. There are dishes that you would see at most Chinese restaurants as well as some that are less common, which is always nice to see. They are happy to make reasonable changes to dishes for you. Allergens are labeled on the menu and we've eaten here several times with no issues with allergen cross contamination, even when we haven't specifically pointed it out. The building is an old English pub so from the outside you might not realise that it is a Chinese restaurant, making it feel like a bit of a hidden gem to me! I've visited several times now and will definitely be going back!”

“I don’t know where to start from!! The food was AMAZING and the portions were very generous. We ordered multiple dishes however my favourites were the chicken Malay curry and the lemon and cashew rice. The service was absolutely amazing as the staff kept checking on us to make sure the food was okay and we also got offered multiple free chocolate at the end of our meal. We couldn’t finish out main and a staff member helped with packing our food. Overall a great experience and everyone should try it out:))”

“Wasn't sure what to expect 25 years after our last visit here. Was a regular at Ray's Place back in the 80s and 90s. This was the first visit since moving to West Yorkshire in '96. So glad we came. “Came in with my dad yesterday, he has severe mobility issues and as we were making our way through Vicky (with a C) came over and kindly offered us the use of a wheelchair! She was very helpful and polite, and even after we were done shopping she helped us get sorted She went above and beyond in helping us and that's a kindness we won't forget, thank you Vicky! :)”

“I've gone with my family several times now and everything has been perfect. I especially enjoy the scotch eggs and their roast chicken with wild mushrooms. Sunday roast, while busy, is worth the wait as well. We are excited to frequent here and try more of the menu”

“They say never to eat in a place that’s empty. However if you were to do that with this place you would be missing out. The waiter is friendly and will talk away to you but doesn’t hang about unwanted, just a good balance. The choice is what you would expect but it’s a good selection and fair prices. As for the quality of the food, this is something else, the chicken that I had as so soft that it would just crumble as you went to lift it with the fork, unlike a lot of places you go to where the chicken can be a bit hard or dry this was soft moist and delusions. They had music play in the background at a level that you could hear it but not loud enough to drown out conversation. And the toilets, that one place in any Indian food place that when you go to it can be a hit or miss, well let me just tell you this was one of the best. Not because it was flash or anything like that, or gold plated taps, but for once they had real quality loo roll, you know that one thing if you had something a little to hot to eat that you really just want to have soft to wipe after! Well they had it, and to top it off they even had some air freshener should the person before you (as it’s never you) had something a bit to hot to handle! To sum up, great little place to have an amazing meal, relaxed atmosphere, with a pleasant waiter, fair prices and real toilet roll for that moment you really need it to be soft!”

“This is our second visit to this establishment, the food is perfect, the garlic mushrooms are to die for. The only downside was the waitress needs more training as we were waiting some 20 minutes before our order was taken.”

“Never had a bad experience with the fish bar or kingswood pizza! Food is cooked to perfection with a lot of care put into it and you can definitely taste it! “Been getting Chinese from here for a very long time now and rarely disappointed. Always get the satay skewers, they’re delicious. I have to agree that the curry sauce is a bit too spicy for me these days but perhaps that’s just my taste and not worth knocking a star off. Definitely a go to for great Chinese takeaway”

“Had a takeaway from here last night, despite the poor reviews, it was excellent!! Yes, the bbq ribs are a little dry, could do with some sauce, but the curry, chicken with mushrooms and the chips were excellent. We would definitely call again!! Chris.”
