“After a year of dieting and 50kg down, moving to a new area; I feel lucky to have this Chinese takeaway just down the road from me. I wanted to treat myself & my craving is salt & pepper squid. Coming from the Indian ocean, I appreciate seafood dishes & this is something I look for in quality and quantity. I ordered from the shop website for the first time. I called to confirm they had my order and to my surprise, it was on the way. I was excited because I'd waited all day for a nice treat. I ordered the mixed starter #2 & if it was for 2 people, that would suffice. But, if you're someone who admires flavour and quality then you'd be a fool to share. The squid was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Exceeded my expectations & perfect for my cheat day. The lady on the phone was so lovely. The delivery driver lady was so kind too. I've been all over hull but this one wins my vote for price, quality and customer service. I'd recommend to order from their website to support this brilliant local business. “After reading mixed reviews I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered the set meal for one, and it was easily one of the best I've had in a long time. I requested the chicken with peppers in black bean sauce to be made spicy, and it was perfectly done. The portion was generous for just £10—so much so that I couldn’t finish it all! The service was excellent, the takeaway was spotless, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be returning!”

“I am coeliac and this is my fave takeaway atm. I've probably had from here at least a good 10 times. I usually get the chicken chow mein, but I've also had the chicken fried rice and the chicken and sweetcorn soup, so far every meal has been hot and delicious. The food comes in a timely manner (sometimes a bit longer on a weekend, but during the week it can be super quick), it comes in a good sized tub that's always filled to the brim, and is always piping hot. It's absolutely delicious. Personally I think the chicken seems a bit cheap (by flavour and esp texture) but that's probably quite normal at Chinese's 'cos they gotta cover costs, but it's still nice and the meal over all is 10/10. They always read my note and adjust my meal how I like it (less onions, more mushrooms) and it tastes sooo good. And I didn't even know I liked seaweed! Lol. But the chow mein comes with some and it's beaut! Definitely recommend Peking House :)”

Our meals of chicken garlic with fried rice, special chow mein with a side of chips and spring rolls came with a free bag of prawn crackers. Everything was 10/10 and we will definitely be back, the portion sizes were very generous too, it might have even knocked our favourite Chinese takeaway off the top spot.”
