“We highly recommend BOB tours! We spent an amazing day out with Mark on the Yorkshire Dales National Park tour. We loved being in a smaller group, and unlike those big bus tours, we were able to understand perfectly everything Mark said through his microphone. The tour guides at this small company build the tours around key stops with added elements based on their own experience and knowledge of the area. This meant that our guide was able to rearrange stops according to the weather that day and add in a few stops based on what he learned about the interests of our particular group. Aside from the incredible beauty of the area, we also enjoyed learning from Mark’s deep well of knowledge to improve our understanding of the history, culture and economy of the area. Our one regret was that we didn’t think to have cash on hand to tip our tour guide. Tips are not expected but if you take one of these tours you will see how hard the guides work and appreciate the thoughtful personal touches they bring to your experience. We think you will want to thank your guide with a tip!”

“I met with the lovely Ellie about 6 weeks ago sat down with her and told her about my family holiday I wanted to book for 2026 ! She took down all my preferences , all inclusive daytime flights destinations etc , I left her to do the work for me and come back with suggestions ! She duly came back listened to what I said about them then fine tuned until she rang me and said I’ve found it!! I rushed in and booked straight away ! We are now looking forward to the holiday next year ! I can’t praise Ellie enough , dealing with me for a start isn’t easy !! So thank you Ellie I’ll be back to book more holidays !!”

“We booked this in advanced as no bookings on gate, so happy we did, it was fantastic! We had 2 adults and 1, 11 year old with us, and couldn't recommend enough!! We turned up at 09:45 and stayed until 1400, the Q lake was super clean and facilities - shower, toilets and changing rooms all well kept too. We stopped off at the cafe on our way back to the car and had pizza and chips - delicious!!! Food was fresh and tasted yummy! Next time we visit we will most likely camp over as well to make a weekend of it. We will be back!!! Thanks for a great experience Pool Bridge Farm.”

“Beautiful room, great location. Had a lovely overnight during our 2 week UK trip. We stayed in the 4 poster room - bed could have been a little more comfortable (thin mattress, no boxspring), but the room is sweet and the bathroom was nice and modernized with a spacious shower. The location is unbeatable - on a lovely quiet historic street while still being super close to the train station and great walking distance to the center. Self check in was seamless and easy. Would definitely recommend!”

“One of my favourite Thai places in York. The food here is absolutely delicious and great as a dine in or takeaway option. The gluten free options are clearly labelled on the menu with quite a few different dishes being gf. The only thing to note is that when I said I was a coeliac, I was told the gf labelled fish cakes wouldn't be suitable due to cooking methods creating cross contamination. While it is really good that the staff are so well trained in dietary requirements and were able to tell me this clearly to prevent me from getting poorly, it is a shame that something labelled gluten free on the menu wasn't ultimately suitable for coeliacs. They instead advised a different gluten free starter which ended being fantastic.”

“Positive feedback where it's due. While in the process of loading up my car with several 2.4m sleepers, I was approached by a chap (clearly on his break) who offered to help me out. I politely declined......... But shortly after I thought to myself "what a kind gesture". Friday 2nd May around 5.30pm. if this individual can be identified, please pass on my gratitude. “When looking for a place to eat we seen this place on Google. We were staying around piccadilly was around 10 min walk from there. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and did everything to make sure you enjoyed the food and your time there, lots of advise and options on food if you weren't sure about anything. Food was amazing and did not have to wait long for it. Great atmosphere lots of laughter from staff and guests. We didnt book but we went at a early time at 4 as it did start getting busy around 5. Will 100% go back here to eat.”

“Lovely place to stay! Really clean and comfortable with all the things you would need for a stay- really well equipped kitchen. Lovely basket of treats on arrival welcomed you to the cottage. The hot tub was fab and a a great way to unwind after a walk around Howard Castle! The location is great- we are non drivers so it was just a short Uber ride from York station. There was also a village centre around 10mins walk away where you’ll find two nice pubs and a mini Tesco. Would definitely recommend!”

It was the ideal base for exploring York’s historic streets. “A bit out of town because of the “nothing higher than the Minster” rules in York. A bugger to travel to from the centre. Saw - I SCREAM - excellent film. The whole place for a Wednesday night was a bit deadsville gulch.”

“We use the Leeds East hotel regularly but our visit this weekend was a really great experience. Young man on reception was very welcoming and professional. A special mention to the lady who put some treats in my daughters room as she heard it was my granddaughters 2nd birthday. What a lovely touch. And finally the lady in the breakfast room who was so lovely with my young granddaughters giving them a chocolate biscuit and a balloon each. This service was really welcomed so thankyou all and apologies I didn’t get names of the people who really made a difference.”

We come to this store all the time to pick up any items we need and we love the atmosphere, the staff, especially the youngsters, are super friendly and always make us feel very welcome! ☺️”
