Luxury hotel in Leicester

“Hotel room was spacious and had all the necessary facilities available such as in room iron and full-size ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, WiFi in room and public areas. Food was of a very good standard with the included breakfast as I had dinner elsewhere. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The only issue is the location is a long way from the city centre meaning taxi service is expensive to use and buses are at least 15 min walk which with luggage could be an issue.”

“Excellent food and lovely, caring staff. Didn't stay at Hotel as I live locally but if the dining is anything to go by I bet it's wonderful. Hats off to the manager who is doing an amazing job in the face of hard times right now.”

“Spent one night here and have no complaints. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was satisfactory tho the choice was very minimal and basic. What a beautiful location, on the river side.”

“We stayed 3 nights at this lovely hotel on Caledonian break. Reading some previous reviews I can perhaps see why it is maybe not for solo travellers. It is true that It was very busy and there were queues for breakfast and dinner but the restaurant staff are very helpful and friendly and always found you a table very quickly. It is well worth the wait as the food is amazing. The breakfast was as good as we have had anywhere and a lot better than many we have stayed at with loads of choice. Dinner was effectively a choice between a roast, a veggie option and one other like a curry for example but as it was buffet style you could help yourself to as much as you want from each option. The food was always hot and tasty. The hotel itself is fabulous with many comfortable places to sit and enjoy a drink and chat with friends old and new. As we were with Caledonian we had an excursion each day so we didn't have time to walk around the grounds to appreciate how vast and well laid out they were. The local village is a 5 minute walk through the car park by the church and there is a lovely friendly and welcoming pub which we went to before dinner each night. Finally I would say that the staff are a credit to the hotel. Very friendly and helpful at all times. I would recommend this hotel and going with Caledonian you get a fantastic deal as well.”

“I was brought here by my partner for a quick getaway. The room was clean even though it was dated. The beds are large, firm and comfortable. The staff were brilliant, helpful and friendly. The food was out of this world. I proud of myself being a big eater but after just having the starter and main I couldn't go on any further as the meals were of a generous portion. Would I come back here. Yes I would and I will more than likely be back soon.”

“Working locally. This hotel meets all our requirements. Clean, warm and I have to say the staff have accommodated our ever needs and requirements. Bibble the receptionist was fantastic. We will be using this hotel again if we are working in the area again. It is also going through a refurbishment programme.”

“Great stay. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond. Alice in particular was a ray of sunshine. Only issue was noise but I brought headphones and the hotel can't help the location!!”

“Amazing place, very clean and tidy. Having the opportunity to stay in a luxurious apartment for such a good price isn't something you find easily in Leicester. Staff members at the desk are extremely kind and provide lots of help and support with anything. A big thanks to Hassan for hosting us and providing all the help since the moment we rang to inform of our arrival. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.”

“Absolutely beautiful little shepherd hut snowdrop, perfect for 2 people to rest and recuperate from everyday life! The bedroom with the full size window is beautiful to wake up to in the morning, with the views even in the rain! The hot tub is amazing, lovely and hot perfect to unwind and read a book. It provided the perfect space to explore the area and celebrate my cousins wedding which is what we came down for. The only suggestion would be to name the huts as it was confusing which one was ours. The hut also gets very hot when it’s full sunshine, maybe an idea to provide a bigger fan like a tower one if it’s summer. Thank you so much to Laura and Bridget for a wonderful few days. We will definitely be back to try the lodges which looking at the reviews sounds amazing also..”

“Absolutely beautiful adults only caravan touring site. The whole place is kept fantastic, the shower rooms are to die for with underfloor heating and rain showers. Definitely my favourite near to home site . Will return soon, and anyone reading this you need to visit to really appreciate the whole site”

“Friendly environment and staff, they listen to instructions very well and even when the queues are big, the wait isn't too long. £10 for a normal cut and £12 for a fade. Happy long term customer :)”

“Two adults and 10-yr old staying one night in June 2019. Ample free on-site parking, was an initial bonus. We were greeted with a very warm welcome from Lynn, and offered a lovely room (we stayed in the Yellow Room) that was clean and tidy, and extremely well stocked with extras such as towels, soaps and teas/ coffees. The bed was comfortable and as the venue is in a quiet location we all got a good night’s rest; which prepared us well for the most enjoyable breakfast the next morning – all freshly prepared by Lynn. It had lovely grounds that we would have had a stroll in had the weather been better, and the outdoor pool was definitely on our list had it not been having some refurbishment work. Our some also enjoyed the canine presence of Jedi and George! There are several pubs in the immediate area; one next door that we had lunch at. We would highly recommend the venue, and would happily stay again if we were in the area.”

“Walking the Hoby to Somerby section of the Leicester Round. Popped in here for some drinks and a rest midway through the stretch. Pub is very handily placed for this walk, only 5 mins off the Leicester Round route. As we were sweaty and hot, we sat outside, lots of seating available in the beer garden. We only ordered soft drinks but the staff were really friendly and chatty. They also very kindly filled up our water bottles. We'll definitely be back to try the food offer.”
