“One of three best Wetherspoons I've been to. Fast service, lots of seating, good outdoor area. Food is always good quality and hot. Usual great prices.”
“Lovely atmosphere, Liam and Tracy were very friendly at the bar and karaoke made for a nice time. Lots of people having a great time and just enjoying themselves”
“Great drinks selection available, and a good atmosphere. Nice place for a couple drinks before continuing your night. It gets very busy on weekends and race days , but we always enjoy coming here”
“Great place for something to eat lovely food and staff very clean and a great outdoor area well worth a visit you won't be disappointed”
“Recently been renovated but still keeps it's charm as a good community pub. Excellent job. Nice friendly staff and good beer.”
“Nice local bar, friendly pub on outskirts of town”
“It's a lovely pub, just benefited from a full refurbishment staff are friendly and they have karaoke every Friday, Saturday, night brilliant atmosphere”
“Lovely afternoon tea with the family on a beautiful spring day. The afternoon tea selection was excellent - everything very fresh and beautifully presented. We then spent time in the wonderful grounds with so much space for the grandkids to run around and lots of different activity installations to keep them entertained”
“Lovely friendly lass behind the bar. Great meals at low prices, and a lively sunny spot to sit!”
“A good place to stop halfway around the shops… This Pret is a nice spacious cafe with super comfortable seats and a good choice of food and drinks. We came in here initially hoping to get a nice refreshing iced tea but unfortunately couldn’t see any on the menu (so assumed that iced tea isn’t an option in Pret, as we’ve never been to one before) there were bottles of green tea in the fridge but it wasn’t quite what we were looking for. The cake selection was brilliant and all of them looked great, my partner chose a chocolate croissant - she said it was delicious and one of the best ones she’s ever had, it was nice and light pastry with plenty of chocolate filling/flavour. We had a bottle of peach tea from the fridge which was ok but nothing amazing. The leather seats in here are very comfortable and you’ll just sink into them, I honestly could have sat there for hours. The staff were very friendly, at least the gentleman who served us was - he was very chatty and had a smile on his face which just made the whole transaction a better experience.”
“Went in on probably one of the busiest days. The first pint of Boltmaker was a bit cloudy, but the barman quickly poured another for me and the rest were delicious. Considering the crowds, the food service was quick and the food nice. No problem getting serviced either at the bar.”
“This was a superb pub for drinking, with a bright and well styled interior! The pillars and boxed seating in some areas are really nice, counter is well-presented too. Christmas decorations are pretty and toilets were fine, cleanliness as a whole is consistent. I had a tasty Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and seating is comfortable, table was well kept too!”
“Loved the food. Good menu and excellent hosts”
“Excellent evening at Bottomless brunch, food and drink really good and very attentive service from Luke! Thanks”
“Restaurant was busy but the service was still top notch . We had chicken melt , mixed grill and a children’s spaghetti bolognese . Food came out quite quick and was really nice . Emma served us and as always was very attentive and chatty. Atmosphere always friendly and upbeat . This is why we always come back.”
“The best Indian in Chester by a long way. The food is consistently excellent. The service friendly and unfussy. The chef is awesome. We eat curry regularly all around the country and there are few that can match City Spice and its extremely rare a meal exceeds them. Forget Rusholme and Brick lane, this is the best.”
“Attached to the Premier Inn, and the place to eat food when you stay here. Staff are great and friendly but many people are in this part of the world. Good food hot and serves quickly. Ideal for what we needed after a long drive to the Wirral. Good links to Heswall and other areas of the Wirral and through the tunnels to Liverpool.”
“Excellent pub food at a reasonable price. Food was cooked just right. Portion size was suitable for the type of meal. Excellent service and attention to making sure everything was OK.”
“8 of us visited today for Christmas Dinner, the food was outstanding along with the friendly staff and the service was amazing too. Kids and adult meals where faultless, usually have Christmas dinner at another restaurant which was £30 more per meal and this was better by far! Highly recommend the burleydam brewers fayre”
“Great place for a slap up breakfast to start your day, staff very happy to see you, great welcome by the lady on the morning reception. Fantastic selection of different breakfast options available. Cant wait to pass again.”
“My husband and I were passing through Chester and decided to have a light lunch and afew drinks in the Garden Room. We just loved the walled garden, full of atmosphere. I had a gluten free club sandwich - did the job....needed some gherkins and onions, and relish to elevate the taste....considering we were in a 4 star hotel I thought it would be more crafted. However the the drinks from the bar were fantastic and the young waiter Max who served us was so professional.....someone give him a payrise!!”
“Have been in hospitality since the age of 18. Never done anything else, with the hope of one day having my own pub. Which I have had for over a year now with admiral Taverns. It hasn't all been smooth sailing but dealing with admirals has been good. But the praise has to go towards the area manager I have Greg Bedfordshire. He listens. And anything that is within his power to help with he will!! Honestly the guy has gone above and beyond with the levels of support provided. And you really do get a sense that he has your back. A year and a half in to our tenancy. And loving it. And appreciate the backing we have from the pub co. Jane and Claire at credit control as well, willing to help. Tough at times when they have to be but 100% fair!!”
“Booked a VIP booth for a hen party in the Manhattan room - staff on the door were lovely, our drinks were great with plenty of ice/glasses. Party sparklers in the champagne bucket on arrival, a nice touch. Staff regularly checked everything was OK for us and were really helpful. Great night of dancing till 3am on a race day we definitely made the most of it!”
