“Without doubt the best place for breakfast or brunch. The foods SO good! The flavours and standard are as good as, if not better than some Michelin starred restaurants! Wow!!!! Smoked salmon Benedict rosti was incredible!”
“Stayed here for one night, agree with the other reviews, Dave was really friendly and helpful when we checked in, the room was at the top of a Georgian house, very quiet, very clean and with a very comortable bed. En-suite shower room was clean and there were complimentary toiletries. If you are fine managing stairs I would highly recommend room 5! Lots of options for breakfast in the cafes and pubs locally. Hope to stay again next time we are in Chester.”
“Always an amazing dining experience. Seriously, if you haven't tried this place yet, you are missing out. As usual, we were greeted with a warm welcome. The menu is amazing, but we always let the owner choose for us. Today, we had a mix of appetisers and then on to a mixed meat platter......check out the pics! Absolutely delicious, will be back very soon!”
“Another great cut for my boys today exactly how they wanted it styled ready for back to school, wouldn't go anywhere else - thanks so much Alisha & Tom! :)”
“Lovely tearoom selling a good variety of food and drinks.”
“Can’t wait to come back! I recently came here as part of my 30th birthday celebrations and was not disappointed in the slightest. Their food is out of this world and each dish is so unique! My favourite was the accompanying wine as this complimented each dish perfectly! I’d definitely recommend getting the tasting menu but I’m sure you’d love anything from here! Will be booking again soon.”
“Really pleased with my kitchen. AoD were so easy going, no rush, no pressure and absolutely no drama! Lovely range of kitchens with personalised design. They sorted everything with top quality fitter, plasterer, electician and prepper. Plumber could have been better but fitter fixed things. A pleasure to deal with every person involved.”
“First visit to this cafe set within a motorcycle haven. We had not visited before due to parking for cars being an issue however a new car park across the road is now available. There is still the motorbike parking next to the cafe. Situated next to a lovely stream there is seating under cover outside overlooking the stream and wooded valley. Inside there is so much memorabilia you don’t know where to look first. We had just arrived after a large party so had to wait as the kitchen was very busy but we only waited 20 minutes till we could order. That 20 minutes flew by as we looked at the items on display. We have an all day breakfast and pie and chips. The food was very good and served quickly. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere in the family run cafe. The prices were really good and definitely value for money. Definitely recommend a visit and will be visiting again.”
“Friendly waitress welcoming landlord and landlady.good choice on menu all food was delicious. Very good local pub will definitely be returning.”
“Fabulous little country village pub. Lots of nooks and crannies in addition to the public bar. Fine selection of real ales supported by wines and spirits. Lots of tracks and trails to walk and build a thirst. Beer garden also for fine days.”
“Nice place to eat. The service was quick, polite and the wait time was not very long at all until what we paid for was brought to our table. The breakfast here is great with a nice portion size for the price. As long as this place does not start scrimping on portion sizes it will remain great. Well done guys was well worth the visit ;)”
“Flissy’s is a great place to stop for lunch, tea and cake or a post dog walk treat. The staff are friendly and service is quick. Great choice of cakes and treats and a really extensive gluten free menu. The gluten free cheese and ham panini was really delicious. Great chips too. It’s really dog friendly so great for a visit with your pooch, you can get dog sausages or dog ice creams. We come here regularly and are never disappointed. Would recommend.”
“Lovely pub, did a great job accommodating for our large family birthday party (12 people). The food was delicious, all cooked to perfection and fresh. Maybe my only qualm would be that portions were too big- only one member of our party finished their meal, and we didn't get the chance to try any dessert!”
“Fantastic food at great prices and fantastic service.”
“We decided to take a well-earned break from our bike ride along the River Dee and ended up at Just Jo's in Garden City between Queensferry and Chester. What a find! The ladies behind the counter were cheerful and keen to help, and Angela in particular deserves a mention for having such a clear voice. We selected a bacon and cheese sandwich with a cup of coffee and paid £5.70 for one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. The bacon was generously layered and it was tender. The sausage had real flavour, nothing like the bangers found in so many cafés. This came as no surprise when the ladies explained that their bacon and sausages were sourced locally - nothing comes from warehouses and supermarkets. Apart from savouries, Just Jo's has home-made cakes, scones and teacakes too. Plus soft drinks. On a sunny day like today, we sat outside. All in all, a memorable break from the bike saddle. We were also told that we should return at lunchtime when their home-made meat pies became available. The pies were top sellers, they said. Ladies, worry not. We'll be back!”
“Best coffee in a 50 mile radius. Also have delicious home made vegetarian, vegan and gluten free cakes and sandwiches. Do recommend!”
“Good atmosphere, cheap eats and nice coffee”
“A very busy café, right on the cross at Moreton. Food was good and prices were more competitive than the Moreton café average. Service was outstanding, an absolute delight. The coffee was excellent; it's the first venue in a while in which my "flat white" was made properly: two shots of espresso with a limited measure of steamed milk.”
“Gorgeous drinks and Fabulous food! The whole menu has had so much thought gone into it. It’s a great place with happy vibes! Downstairs area is dog friendly. So many great activities and events take place here! ❤️❤️ Breakfast bagels are AMAZING! Staff are friendly :)”
“A long time since last visit and wow, lots of changes. More open, nice and warm and food choices were excellent and not too expensive, like other places. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Will definitely be back .”
“Passed this place so many times and always said that we need to stop and give it a go. Well yesterday was that day and we are so glad we did. Coffee was spot on, toasties were on point and service was tremendous. Found our new stop off and look forward to our next visit. Highly recommend”
“Brilliant stop while out cycling, looked after us all and food was great. Thanks for use of the first aid box too. Very kind and considerate people, a credit to the area.”
“What a find! A friend recommended here and I'm glad she did, it was really nice. Beautifully cooked steak and decent prices. Meal for 2 on a Friday night with a bottle of wine and deserts for less than £100. We will definitely be back.”
“Absolutely delicious food, everything was spot on & really generous portions. Friendly service and we could sit outside to eat because we had a dog with us. Definitely recommend!”
“Me and a work colleague called in 29/7. Lovely breakfast cooked to order . Great staff , nice atmosphere, well worth the 4 mile drive to get there, highly recommended”
“Great place to relax, have a chat, coffee, and this yummy hunters chicken panini/wrap. Very nice and kind staff. Highly recommended fr a pit stop and yummy chai latte and delicious date cake”
“Simply superb. The food was presented well and tasted fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were professional, friendly and polite throughout. We will be making this a regular visit in the diary.”
“Lovely gem of a cafe, the soup of the day was delicious, coffee tasted perfect, staff were friendly and it had a cool funky but comfy atmosphere”
“Popped in this morning after a long, hot bus ride and fancied a cuppa. Decided on a sausage sandwich and a coffee. Both arrived quickly and the sandwich was amazing. A lovely, small cafe with great, friendly staff. A very pleasant find, will definitely use here again.”
“Amazing pizzas tonight and the Antipasta box (Italian meats, cheeses, quince jelly, rocket, fresh dough bread) was once again to die for. I love Heima Pizza. A fabulous local pizza experience at a good price. A real weekend treat! Thanks again guys!”
