“Talking about the saltney store unit. It is smaller than the others locally. It's just tighter with the amount of shelving and stock. There was less people luckily on my visit otherwise walking around does come difficult. There are only a few trollies supplied, plenty of wheelie baskets though.”

The owners have changed and they are much better than the other owners, I would recommend people that left when the old owner was running the shop to come back because it has changed a lot.”

“In June 2025 Jamie (assistant manager) was able to resolve an issue for me, and in doing so demonstrated the best customer service care I have experienced in Chester during the last 20 years. I can’t recommend this branch of Evans cycles highly enough. In October 2025 Jamie came to the rescue again when my Boardman broke down. How reassuring to have an honest, decent bike mechanic and sales manager whom I can trust. 100% Jamie. 10/10. 5***** I took my ageing Boardman to Diego for a repair and he was very generous with his time, talking me through all the options. He has kindly helped me in the past too. I have always received excellent service from everyone at Evans Cycles, and never had to wait for assistance. I bought a bike there a few years ago at a fantastic price.”

The company's menu is great anyway, but this branch consistently delivers genuinely well-made food that you can tell they're careful with, making sure it's of a really high standard; and it always arrives hot/warm, and delivered by friendly and polite folks. In the few years that I've been regularly ordering from them, only one order has been in any way questionable, and they fixed it right away, without issue. Highly recommended!”

“Go and see Greg, I called in when I was in the area was really impressed, what an Aladdin’s cave of a shop, had a friendly chat with Greg who pointed me in the direction of a range of clubs made by Eleven. Really impressed and ordered 3 clubs Greg measured me up for custom fit and said the clubs would be delivered to my home address in two weeks, well they arrived today two weeks later great service can’t wait to try them out and fill the bag with a few more. Thanks again for great advice and delivery.”

“Love this store, staff are engaging if you make it known you want help, otherwise they respect your option to browse without pressure. Chelsey and Ronnie always make the experience enjoyable and go above and beyond. Stock is not as comprehensive as other outlets, however the store can only hold a fraction of Flannels large selection of items. The staff will order for you online and delivery is exceptional, next day is a regular occurance. Would definitely recommend.”
