“A delightful setting for a delightful pub and restaurant. The Old Bank is a great addition to the Fuller's stable. Great high ceilings done in white make this a lovely light and airy place to eat and drink. Love the "Boardroom" at the back. Great staff offering wonderful service. The beer, lager in my case was both lovely and cold. A super visit.”

“We had the wedding reception for my daughter and her husband here in March 2024. It was the first wedding reception to be held at the Duke although the staff were experienced and it went really well. The Duke had had some redecoration in the weeks before the wedding and it looked great while keeping the ‘urban’ feel that the couple wanted. We provided a table plan and example table layout and Alex and his team worked really hard to get everything ready for first thing on the day. All we had to do was to get our florist to come down in the morning to add flowers on all the tables and around the room. The venue was able to seat 80 guests comfortably. The Duke provided the catering and we offered guests a choice of two starters and two mains plus vegetarian option. They were able to cater for gluten free. Everyone agreed that the food was great and the service was efficient and friendly. We paid for welcome drinks and wine with the meal then the bar was open from 7.30. Bar spend was deducted from the overall minimum spend agreed. It was useful having the extra room at the side for the welcome drinks and for guests to leave coats, etc. The Duke provided door security. We provided our own DJ and after the meal the Duke staff cleared space for the dance floor. The pool tables were also very popular! All in all we were very happy. If you want something different to the country house or barn style of reception, the Duke is a great alternative”

“New roast is OFF THE HOOK... best roast had out and about for a while, had beef, which was superb. Great portion size too... top Sunday atmosphere in there, football was on but wan't domineering the whole pub. Food came in a very acceptable time and staff attentive... and a special shout out for the Bloody Mary's too. Double recommended!”

“We came here today at around 2:30pm. The waitress greeted us and informed us it was table service..she was brilliant. She gave us a menu gave us time to choose our drinks..there was lots of lovely drinks to choose from. I had a Shirley temple which was so good the waitress asked if I wanted another one and I was happy to oblige. The service was brilliant. It was a lovely setting to celebrate my birthday. It was quick and easy to pay as well. It was a great spot to people watch and enjoy London in the sunshine.”

“A lovely team greeted us at the Clarendon, we only stayed for one night. But will be back to use a hub to visit the surrounding areas. The rooms were fine and decent, one of the strongest showers too. They have a bar here, which is brilliant priced. A car park and garden area by the river were also a nice point.”

“Updated review - second visit: Still incredible. We ate this time. Special shout out to Ernest. Such an incredible, friendly and helpful guy. He made our dining experience amazing. It's such a vibe here. Music was on point. Mixture of afrobeats, hip hop, and bashment. Packed out urban crowd. They do bottle service and tables. I had a great time. Closes at 4am. Reasonably priced tickets. Last entry is 1am.”

“Worth the journey from South London, purely based on the great value for money, amazing hospitality and top quality shisha. I really enjoyed the music too, learning some of the classic Persian pop songs. Very unassuming from the outside however it is a tastefully designed hangout with humourous LED art. Thank you for being such great hosts, keep up the fantastic work.”

“Popped in for a quick bite with family. Staff made a fuss of the kids which as a parent is always good. Was served by Charlie. Knew his stuff and was able to talk is through allergens. Nice atmosphere, decent music. Return today for a quick bite between meetings. And well, still the same good atmosphere and food was on point as always. Can take a while as some others posted but in my opinion, what an extra 5 minutes wait if it comes cooked right.”

“I went here with my family for my birthday. First thing I noticed was how spacious the interior was, It was clean and had a lovely atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. The staff were all so polite and made you feel welcomed. We all ordered a cocktail each, and they were very generous with the spirits. Between us we ordered the Pad Thai, vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay, thai fishcakes, special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken. All was really nice. The best bit for me was the dessert, as this was new to me. I had the Thai tea fondant. This was sooooo nice and not too sweet. If you never had it, you must try it. Price was not too expensive, but not cheap either. All in all a very good evening. Will definitely go again.”

“Park Chinois is not just a restaurant – it’s a full-sensory experience. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re transported to a world of 1930s Shanghai glamour. The attention to detail in the décor is breathtaking, with plush interiors, live music, and a seductive, intimate atmosphere that makes it perfect for special occasions or an elegant night out. The food? Exceptional. Every dish we tried was a perfect balance of refined Chinese culinary tradition and luxurious presentation. The Duck de Chine is a must – beautifully crisp skin and rich, flavorful meat. The dim sum selection was also top-tier, delicate and freshly prepared. Service was professional yet warm – attentive without being intrusive, and the staff clearly take pride in creating a flawless experience. Yes, it’s a splurge – but worth every penny for the ambiance, quality, and unique experience. Highly recommend booking in advance, especially if you want to catch the live entertainment. Can’t wait to return.”

“This place is a throwback to when pubs were a good value and good fun trip. The food is easily the best I’ve had in Southall and more than competes with the best Indian food in west London in both taste and value. The drinks served are the most popular you would see in most pubs but often 50% cheaper! Well done to the owners and friendly staff.”

“Wonderful pub with fantastic staff/owners. We were staying at the hotel across the street as we were attending baseball games at the nearby London Stadium, so the Greyhound became our natural watering hole. Being from the Midlands, the owners and staff made us feel very welcome and offered so much assistance as we didn't know the area. The cozy beer garden was a welcomed place to unwind on a warm summer evening with reasonably priced and well kept beer. The atmosphere was incredible and everyone was friendly. It may be a 'locals' pub, but when they treat you like one of thier own, you can't ask for anything more. We all actually wished that we were staying longer. Thank you, all at the Greyhound.”

“I've found this spot some time ago, frankly it needs a mention. Easily one of the most under rated venues in Croydon. The staff are down to earth, helpful and add a vibrant splash of colour to the place, those they come into contact with love them. Thanks in particular to Amanda and Zoe for their service, made my visit extra special. Will update with further visit and share for one and all. People give them a try!! ❤️”
