“Visited this pub for the second time in three weeks. We had the roast pork Sunday dinner again. Food was great. Excellent service. Great value. I wish that pubs in Worcestershire were as good as this one. Thank you again for the Sunday dinners.”

“My second time at The Anglers I love the outdoor space by the river. The food it is soooo good! We had a trout croquet with induja and bisque, super delicious with a wonderful bisque! The fish and chips, very good portion; grest flakes of fish and very fresh. Top top top was the fish pie... what a super delicious dish! And the portion was really generous! As dessert we had the gelanska (i hope I remembered well the name) Nice surprise it was a strawberry coulis with cream icream and meringue on top... crazy good! Everything was extremely fresh and good... just to mention thought a little bit pricier than your regular pub. Just a note about the service... very polite indeed but a bit scattered and not extremely attentive... but polite. Overall I really recommend this pub!”

“We hired the function room for an anniversary party last month and we were very impressed with Jessica and all the staff, they were very helpful and went out of their way to help with the set up of the party and the service was spot on throughout the whole evening. The hot food was 5/5, the sandwiches were 4/5 lovely presentation of the vegetables and fruit platters. I would definitely hire the function room again. Thank you.”

“The George Canning reopened on Wednesday 25 August after a major refurbishment. I am pleased to report that they have started serving real ale again. Two cask beers on handpump when I visited: Doom Bar and Timothy Taylor's Landlord. And the Landlord is a bargain at £3.35 for a pint. Lots of outdoor seating most of it covered. Four screens showing sport. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

“I never do reviews but I can’t thank the staff enough for how accommodating they all were. I stayed with my little brother who has autism and the staff at the front desk ensured he was comfortable when things were a little bit loud in the reception by asking us if we would like to go in the back room. The restaurant staff were also very accommodating to his needs but a man called Marquise who works in the restaurant is a real life angel!! He really went above and beyond for us ensuring my brother had everything he needed and helping me feel comfortable. It can sometimes be nerve wrecking going somewhere new with a child who has special needs, especially one who only eats certain foods but Marquise really really went out of his way to meet my brothers needs whilst also reassuring me that anything I need to please just ask! We need more people like Marquise in this world! If you are a SEN parent or career you know how much of a difference people like him make to your trip. Thank you!!”

“Quick night away for our anniversary. The staff was very helpful and extremely gracious. The room was surprising large and very well appointed. The whole place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We even got a wonderful massage that had us feeling terrific. Already looking for an excuse to go back, highly recommend!”

“I know the Dog and Fox very well but had never stayed in the hotel. It was a great decision, a beautifully comfortable bed, spacious and clean room . Breakfast was also excellent with multiple choices of continental and traditional dishes on offer. All cooked dishes were prepared to order and piping hot. My stand out part of the visit were the staff, highly trained, cheerful and helpful. In the bar, restaurant and reception they didn’t fail to impress. I have to also mention housekeeping , although I didn’t see them it was obvious they were working hard in the background to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Can’t recommend enough and will definitely be back .”

“Used NOX Golders Green for a work trip. Fantastic location with plenty of places to eat locally and close to the tube station. The room was clean and perfect for our stay. The staff at reception (Alex) was fantastic - He made us feel very welcome and gave us plenty of tips for travelling around London. Thanks!”

“I had my son's swimming party here and it was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and the pool looked amazing with the sensory lights, swim toys and music. “Old world pub which is an easy walk from Kew Gardens. Has an amazing beer garden, and in fitting with Kew Gardens has a pretty spectacular flower ensemble to enjoy while eating/drinking”

“What a gem! Zigma was amazing serving our group. She passed all our comments to the kitchen, steaks were medium-rare, exactly how we wanted. Beers, shots and amazing service made our day! One notch down on the atmosphere as we felt the lights could be a little more dimmed. But gee, the place has all it takes and gents toilets on the ground floor too!”

“So we made a mistake when booking (rather than the 21st to 23rd had booked 20th to 22nd!) and panicked when we arrived about the night that hadnt been booked. The manager put us in the room we had booked and was able to book us into a different room for the following night which we were able to transfer into early in the morning. The breakfast is amazing. The pool is incredible. Special shout out to the pool attendant who let me and my special needs child into the pool close to closing time. We weren't that thrilled with the areas of Guildford we explored, but would return purely for this hotel, fantastic”

“Afternoon tea was excellent. Freshly prepared and delicious. There was more than enough for two persons, I would have loved to have eaten every scrap. The chef presented the array of food in person and he was a delightful gentleman. He explained the variety of sandwiches, scones, cakes and fancy nibbles. Certainly worth every penny.”

Vanessa’s knowledge on the menu was excellent, she recommended the curry which was delicious. Elena is lovely also & made me feel like nothing was too much, she made me a coffee & finally…somebody who knows how to heat milk properly without burning it! From the moment we arrived, the front desk team showed true professionalism and kindness. They understood our difficult situation and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Their warm attitude and excellent service completely turned around what had started as a very stressful experience. Thanks to their care, our stay became enjoyable and memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for international visitors, because the staff here truly know how to treat guests with respect and hospitality.”

“Basic room, blinds don’t completely shut out the light, I had unplugged the fridge because it was making some noise but it’s grand for one night today if you’re not gonna be in the room that often. The mattress was very soft along with the pillows!”
