“Hawthorn is 100% your new go-to spot in Kew/Richmond. For some background, everyone who I was with for dinner had previously dined at the Glasshouse at some point in their lives, so when we all arrived for dinner at Hawthorn, we were intrigued about how it would compare… AND WOW our expectations were blown out of the water. Not only did we each quite literally lick the plates clean, but we all felt that each course was complex yet also felt so simple and just plain delicious. We heard that the restaurant just opened a couple of weeks ago, but the food tasted as if the chefs have been cooking together for years. Whether you are there for lunch or dinner, either set menu is incredibly well priced (especially when the food quality is at this level). The sommelier is incredible, suggesting perfect pairings for each course to accommodate every taste bud or finding a bottle that works with a table of diners who ordered a mixture of seafood and meat mains! Conveniently it’s also right next to Kew Gardens station or a short walk from Richmond station - very easy to get to and definitely worth a trip. What an amazing new restaurant in Kew!”

“The best little Crêperie in Richmond. It’s cozy and quaint with a really snug atmosphere. A lovely owner too. Just been there once with my friends on Sunday the 18th of October but I love Judith's veggie galettes for lunch. She makes them fresh with organic buckwheat flour with an ample serving of feta cheese, spinach and tomatoes and a fair share of salad. The fillings were fresh and heated just right. I also had a pot of fresh mint tea to go with it which is equivalent to 3 normal cups of tea. She also prepares sweet crêpes which I yet have to sample. Wonderful service. Highly recommend. I'll definitely go there again preferably for an early supper after my next capital ring walk.”

“I came here after seeing the good reviews and super pleased that I tried it. It's a tiny shop, where you order on screens and the team make it in front of you. I ordered a chicken wrap and the chicken was really delicious and well cooked. I also ordered the crisps with hummus, the crisps were brilliant but the hummus portion looked slightly small compared to the tub they serve it in. Definitely a great option for lunch.”

Lighting and music really on point and good. Really helpful staff. Enough time between the meals. Had beef tartare and tempura squid and prawn as a starter. Burger and beef stroganoff for main. “Very elegant, nice and quiet place for breakfast or lunch. Feeling warm and cozy sitting by the side of the window. It’s shame that the menu is not available today but still have variety food selection including toast, sandwiches, cake, tart or cookies etc. Latte smell really good and hot. The seller patiently explain to us what ingredients for the sandwich while my little one can’t eat spicy. It’s a 5 stars cafe!”
