Having been a few times before, I knew what a great place it was: friendly, welcoming and with delicious food, prepared and served with genuine passion by the owner. And this occasion was no exception. Rubik’s hospitality was - as usual - second to none, and he made my dinner date with a friend very special.”

“Not had fish and chips for years. Looked up where to go as my son requested a bday treat while keeping up his lent restrictions. Our meals were all very good, especially the size and batter on the fish. Was crispy, not wet or stodgy at all. The owner Sam was very friendly, welcoming and went out of his way to accommodate us. He even threw in extra chips and a really lovely fresh salad for free. My mum was fascinated by how clean the shop was too. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others. All over great experience from start to finish!!”

“What a find! We just happened across this little restaurant for a weekday lunch and it was such a wonderful surprise. The food was fresh Lebanese family cooking at its very best and all for an incredibly reasonable price. “By far the best pub in Richmond. We regularly go to the Mitre, as they serve really fresh cask ales that change regularly. They also serve fantastic pizza’s where you can choose your own toppings or have the monthly special. We often get the dough balls as they are the perfect accompaniment to a few pints! Super wines from Spain Portugal and other emerging regions. A delightful red from Bulgaria will warm you up nicely with their wholesome Charcuterie or Cheese board in London’s cold winter nights! There are other Whites and Rose from Spain and Portugal to liven up your Summer days! Dee is always there to share his passion for selection of wines and cheese and happily recommends them to customers. “We went for the 3rd time for the lunch time serving. £80 per person but well worth every pound. The food was delicious, fresh and didn't disappoint. The waiters were polite. My only drawback is the manager. She's very abrupt as she gave a rude gesture when we declined wine and asked for bottle water. The way she speaks to customers and the waiters is impolite and unprofessional. She needs to retire as she's been there for too long or she needs to improve her customer facing skills as she would be the one reason why I wouldn't go back.”

“I seriously love my fish and chips and this was hands down the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was completely made to order and boy was it worth the wait. The batter was so crispy but not greasy and the fish was so juicy and succulent in the middle. It was literally cooked to perfection. The chips were amazing too. Not to crispy and not to soggy. A perfect blend and you can tell they use really good potatoes. Really friendly service in lovely little area. Just a shame I don’t live closer as would be here every Friday! Highly recommend!!”
