“It's been a while since I'd eaten at The Red Lion. I was excited to return, as I've always enjoyed the food and the riverside setting is stunning. It's was a bit rainy when we went, so we sat in the lovely restaurant area. It was 5pm during the week, so it was quiet when we arrived. We were served by a few different members of staff during our meal. The service was friendly, professional and attentive. It's a great menu with good choice (without being to big). The starters were all delicious, and they also have a choice of bar snacks, so my son chose the croquettes from that part of the menu. The mains were also great. Generous portions, beautifully presented, all delicious and made with quality ingredients. Our children wanted desserts, so my wife and I, although very full, shared an apple tarte tatin. It was amazing. All in all, an outstanding meal, and a big step up from normal pub food. A lovely NZ sauvignon blanc at a reasonable price too! Highly recommend.”

“After staying at dozens of Holiday Inns in the USA this came as an amazing surprise as the level of service and standards was far far higher than expected. The rooms, although somewhat cozy felt brand new and the bed and pillows were outstanding. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and extensive and the only thing that detracted from the experience was the fact that there were rampaging, yelling and screaming children running roughshot all throughout the dining and buffet area. Would definitely stay here again, but will bring earplugs now down to the restaurant.”

“I ordered this today off uber eats, and I must say by far this is definitely the best Aromatic duck I’ve ever tasted. Seasoned and cooked to perfection and a very large portion. Very generous with free savoury confectionary such as prawn crackers and fortune cookies, everyone loves a fortune cookie, especially this time of year! Thank you so much - also very fast delivery by their own polite courier staff! Genuinely would give a higher rating if I could. Highly recommend. Thanks again.”

“Very tasty food. Attentive staff who don’t stop working hard to make your experience the best it can be! Brilliant atmosphere with traditional music. Affordable meals for all ages. We are regular customers and will definitely keep the tradition of coming to mangos cafe around. Very clean and hygienic facilities.”

“Such a lovely atmosphere…. And staff is so friendly, they serve smiling and timely. We had a nice small birthday gathering and everything has been so well overall. Food was delicious, burger was just a bit dry but fish&chips was one of the best in the region.”

“I had a coffee at the Ferry Shop yesterday, and it was a lovely experience! The staff were very friendly, and the location by the side canal is just beautiful. It’s a perfect spot to relax, enjoy the view, and have a small cup of coffee with friends. Highly recommended for a peaceful hangout!”

“Visited the area from the USA for work and The Three Horseshoes made me feel right at home. The locals were so inviting and Lauren (Bar tender) was awesome! Highly recommend hanging out there for a pint or two.”

“Our first time in this pub. Went looking for a vegetarian Sunday Roast. Never easy to find & almost always disappointing. Not in this case though! The veggie Roast here was great! served with 4 veg, nicely cooked, lovely seasoned roast potatoes & Yorkshire puddings. They had all the meat options too.”

“Had a lovely Sunday trio and chocolate brownie. The food came out quite quickly despite it being very busy. Great location by the river, free parking and dog friendly. Book in advance for a Sunday as it gets very busy here, it’s popular!”

“New Years Eve at the Goat was great. Thats the first party they have ever done and Shawn and his team were excellent. They made everyone feel so well and there was never any queues for the bar and empties were cleared up straight away. Great atmosphere and Shawn the DJ/landlord pulled it off so well.”

“Come check out the new Ashford Surrey shisha spot I went first time and I have to say the service was 100% great. Excellent quality shisha and many great flavours to choose from. Nice atmosphere and would highly recommend to all.”

“Very helpful staff, on site parking, Breakfast too! So many places lack this and we booked here because it's available. Our stay was for work and it good to start the day with a good cooked breakfast. Lots of shops on hand and eateries too. Would recommend this place to others”

“This place is actually so good. We tried it out on a whim, and it is miles better than the nearby KFC. While the menu doesn't have as much on it, the food is it fresh and really really hot. Highly recommend.”
