“We had decided to go on holiday a bit last minute and because the dates changed, our usual kennels didn't have availability. We have two large dogs, both rescues and one of them is a bit reactive until he gets to know you and also doesn't like other dogs. I'd sent some web requests for availability (explaining about my dog's behaviour and that we were his 3rd and final home) because it was late at night so I couldn't ring. The next day I had a response from Rebecca at Sunrise Kennels saying they had availability but also inviting us to view the kennels beforehand. We did so and were greeted by Honor, who introduced herself and told us about the kennels and gave us a tour including the lovely big field where they dogs are walked. There are heated beds and the dogs could share a kennel which was great. She also said feeding them separately wouldn't be a problem as one is a grazer so the other would have his food too! On the day, our reactive dog went off with the kennel staff and didn't even look back! I managed a week before I emailed asking how they were doing and Rebecca said my reactive dog had come out of his shell and had become very playful and both were enjoying cuddles. When we picked them up, they kept running back to Jess for pets and she also let us know that they'd been fed and walked that day. For us, it was important to find a kennel that cared and would take the time to get to know our reactive dog. Even though it was a 3 hour round trip for us, it was well worth finding a kennel that we felt happy with so I'd definitely recommend Sunrise Boarding Kennels to anyone looking for a kennel. They also have a cattery.”

“Converted stables on small family run farm. Well equipped. Clean. Great Wi-Fi. One bed cottage with sofa bed in lounge. Well equipped kitchen area. Good location with easy access to surrounding areas. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and use again. Booked direct with hosts as we stayed a month but also bookable online.”

“So happy e lucky to have such a good cattery nearby. Shana,the owner, and her team look after all the cats so well! The chalets are very clean. "Eric" our cat is brushed everyday. His pictures are posted on Facebook so we can be closer to him when away. I don't have any doubts in recommending Willow Cottage Cattery to anyone.”

“Nice, warm room. Massive bed! Lovely hostess, but we've been a few times before so are familiar with the layout, etc. Nice breakfasts, full English, cereals, fruit juice or whatever you choose within reason. Very accomodating and close to the town centre.”

“Excellent kennel and grooming set up. We have used them for many years and many dogs, we would recommend them to anyone. Our current working Cocker likes it so much that he jumps out of the truck and goes straight to the kennels without looking back.”

“Mostly fantastic, the selection of restaurants is great, the lodges have a very nice social area and good facilities. The only thing I found to be an issue was that the Subtropical Swimming Paradise isn’t quite up to the level of Elveden Forest’s in my opinion, as it lacks a saltwater lagoon (mostly negated by the lazy river being saltwater) although there being more large flumes is great, and I get that this can’t be easily changed as it is a central feature. Overall a great Center Parcs resort.”

“Amazing place! Completed my work experience here and got to see the ins and outs of the business. It's a genuinely lovely place and the dogs are treated wonderfully. Andy (the owner) is a really dedicated guy and the staff all look after every dog to their own individual needs. There are plenty of safety measures in place and every dog is treated equally and given unlimited playtime, rest time and cuddles! I even brought my own dogs as I was so impressed. Thank you Howlies! “Woburn Forest Kennels have saved me so many times with accommodating last minute bookings and amendments to bookings. Steph, Donna and team always look after Jasmine so well and she is the most excited to go and stay there, she doesn’t even look back when we leave her. In fact, if anything, she looks a bit disappointed when we pick her up - almost like a kid being picked up from a party and wanting to stay for “5 more minutes”! Thank you for everything.”

“Visit here for Yoga sessions, such a tranquil setting for yoga and studio is equipped with everything you need, from mats, bolsters and blankets etc. Love coming here.”

“Lovely venue..Nice location ..road up is a bit bumpy but no problem. Plenty of parking..massive dining area and a separate party/ relaxation building away from the sleeping pods. Very well decorated and comfortable highly recommend staff very lovely”

“What a great little place! We stayed for a night whilst visiting Santa Pod. On arrival, Bobby came to meet us, showed us where we were staying, and gave us our keys. There were a couple of rooms accessed from the side of the establishment via a locked door, which you were provided a key for along with your room key. Once inside, there was a communal area with iron and board, Bobby's contact details should we need them and the WiFi info. From here, there was access to a shared kitchen we could make use of, which was very clean. It had all the amenities you could want. Then there were also the entrances to the rooms. Our room was brilliant, with what looked like a queen size bed. Which was amazing! It was decorated very tastefully and impeccably tidy throughout. The ensuite was exceedingly clean. We had our evening meal at the Spice Tree, Indian Restaurant, which shared the premises. The food was so delicious, and the staff were lovely and friendly. All in all, a great stay which I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks Bobby!”

“Have visited with friends for meals on several occasions. Food is always excellent - good choice for those with allergies, drinks are great with a wide variety. Staff are always friendly and welcoming”

“On arrival we were welcomed by a lovely lady who showed us to our room in this fabulous old manor house offering us country side views. Rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are convenient shops nearby and many pubs serving food within a few miles. The Five Bells in Henlow comes highly recommended. The grounds are beautiful and surrounding areas outstanding. We were so happy to find this rare gem. We will be back on our next visit to Bedfordshire for sure.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our 6th visit to The Knife & Cleaver, and I thought it was about time I left a proper review. My partner and I always come here for a little getaway, and every time we’re reminded why we keep coming back. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes such a difference. The room we stayed in was lovely, comfortable, and just what we needed for a relaxing break. For dinner, I had a three-course meal cooked by Gary, and the fish and chips were absolutely spot on. Gary even came out to say hello, which was such a nice personal touch. Manager Sue also made us feel very welcome, adding to the warm atmosphere. After our meal, we headed to the bar where Acer mixed up some cracking cocktails for my partner. Between the great drinks, the friendly service, and the easy banter at the bar, it really felt like being among friends. What stands out most is how well the whole team works together—it’s rare to see a place where everyone gels so naturally, and it makes the experience that much better. We’ll definitely be back again in the future. If you’re planning a spa day at Woburn, I’d highly recommend finishing it off with a stay here. Thanks again to the whole team—you’re a crazy, brilliant bunch, and we’ll see you soon!”

“No kettles in the room! But FREE coffee machines in the corridors which is possibly the best idea I've seen in recent years. I would much rather a freshly made coffee or hot chocolate than a sachet of instant while faffing with a kettle. Well done on a great idea. Rooms are spotlessly clean, Standard room a little small but adequate for a couple of nights stay. Staff helpful and friendly.”
