“We had a wonderful stay at the old chapel. This is an exceptional B&B. Rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lots of lovely extras including home made cake and an excellent plentiful breakfast. Communication was first class throughout with extremely friendly hosts. “I was recommended this place by a client at work and I was so glad to be told about this absolutely amazing place. The service was stellar from start to finish. I don't think I have had so many people attend to just one table before. Anything we asked for was dealt with so promptly and politely I was so impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the music playing whilst we ate was apt. Our food was flawless through three courses. As I chef I find it very hard to get food up to a certain standard but this was an exception. I can't recommend this place enough and will be returning asap. The arancini was so good, seasoned perfectly and looked beautiful. My beef ragu was stunning.. a depth of flavour that I thoroughly enjoyed. My partners lasagne was amazing and not a scrap was left by either of us. I ordered lemon tart which came with a shot of lemon cello and it was to die for and looked so pretty. My partner polished her brownie in record time. The bill was just under a hundred pounds which was good considering we had multiple drinks. Bravo for being so on point to all the staff and owner. We will be back asap..thanks so much we are truly happy customers.”

Every artist we’ve seen comments upon their affection for the Stables and we count ourselves lucky to live nearby. The IF festival is fabulous and we recently enjoyed seeing Roachford in the Speigeltent - amazing!”

“We had an awesome time at the Flame and Thunder event. It was so much more than I was expecting, an exciting array of wacky and insane cars on the strip. Loads of extra stuff going on around the strip, monster trucks, drifting, stunt performers. Lots of food vans to pick from. They did well to keep tightly to the schedule and keep things moving despite some patches of rain. Its a great event with loads to see, definitely check it out!”

“The closest to Authentic Italian pizza we’ve ever tasted in the UK. We ordered from the van when they came to our village and they made it fresh right in front of us. Amazing service and taste, all at a good price. The pizzas were full of flavour and so light. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to have them again!”

“Really lovely place, obviously very popular so I would recommend booking. We visited on a Saturday evening and enjoyed items from the amazing Vegan menu. They were presented beautifully, and tasted wonderful. The only very slight draw backs were that because it was busy, there was a queue for the toilet a couple of times. Also, the more intimate style of the restaurant does mean it can feel a little loud. We cannot wait to go back!”

“We enjoyed a wonderful 6 course winter tasting menu. Each course was delicious and presented beautifully. In particular, the scallop, venison and rhubarb croissant dessert courses stood out. The latter was unlike anything I have had before and was both spectacular and surprising! In addition to the food, Paris House is very uniquely situated in a deer park, which adds to the ambience. It was wonderful to come up the entrance drive and see the deer in the park. I would highly recommend the restaurant, it's perfect for a special occasion!”

It's incredible how they make such top notch food in such little time. Verrrry rich in flavour, lovely vegetables. They have perfected their cooking. I had the king prawn casserole, which like many of their dishes comes with a side salad and two kinds of rice. Overall, (and my family will agree with me) we are definitely coming again.”

“Me and my partner finished our dance lesson up the road and popped in on the off chance they were serving food past 8pm. The gentlemen I spoke to was friendly and inviting, our dog also was allowed in. The food looked lovely and tasted great! the gin cocktail I had was great. The local atmosphere was great. “Enjoyed my short stay very much at the Poplars. Very quaint character property that retains much of its charm. Upper rooms would be tricky for anyone with limited mobility or lots of large luggage. Cooked breakfast was excellent, plenty of everything available. Room nice & clean and bed comfortable. Shower rather small so again tricky for anyone with limited mobility so would be good to check which room you are booking if that is your circumstance. They do have accesible rooms on the ground floor.”
