“Went here last night on recommendation & was not disappointed. Food was amazing staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. It has been so hard to find somewhere that serves good food. We will be returning again soon.”
“This is a great upmarket pub restaurant, you can eat in the bar area or upstairs, lovely decor throughout, great service, good bar with good selection of drinks. The food is really good, well presented to a high standard.”
“Welcoming old fashioned pub. The food is traditional "pub grub". Not fancy but great value. Hence 5 stars.”
“Only had a couple of drinks as we were only at Bedingham Hall Farm C/L for two nights and didn't know what to expect. "We'll be back" so will try the food next time. A nice pub looked popular with the local people.”
“I don't use the term "hidden local secret" often but this is one of those. The food here is simply exceptional. I have spent months in Thailand and this absolutely stands up against some of the best meals I've had over there. The pub is an old school pub. It's not gonna win any awards for decoration. But the food 100% makes up for it This is a must visit in my option for high quality Thai food whilst in Norfolk”
“Absolutely lovely vintage pub, beautiful scenery, amazing food, something for everyone's palate, friendly staff would highly recommend”
“Here from the U.S., we are staying nearby and stopped in for a quick drink at the pub. Everyone was so incredibly nice and welcoming we ended up staying for hours drinking and talking. Highly recommend a visit here. This is an amazing little pub. The locals are wonderful, and the owner is just the best!”
“Friendly atmosphere, lively. The show was entertaining too. Worth paying a visit”
“The big pie is well worth getting if you are feeling hungry. Sunday dinners are value for money. I think You have to book as it gets busy. So tables are reserved so no waiting Great landlord and landlady. Very friendly place.”
“Went for a meal last night and the food was just amazing!! I went for the chicken pie and when I say it's the best pie I've tried I'm not lying. Staff were very welcoming and friendly! 100% recommended”
“A proper pub run by a lovely Landlady. The pizza van on a Friday is amazing”

“Fantastic pub with great atmosphere, lovely staff and Paul the landlord is great. Ignore the Turkey Morons review, probably upset that they sell beef crisps or something. Glad they won’t be back!!!!!”
“Excellent food with excellent Host's and Staff. If you like pie's check out the Pie board so much to choose from and all made on the premises. Great Ales from the Keg and all at a fair price. Dogs welcome in the Bar they even get a doggie treat some times”
“What a lovely, busy little cocktail bar! Not your normal cocktails, so I felt a little giggly when I had 2 cocktails lol! We were first 2 in, the quickly filled up. Girls serving were polite & friendly.”
“1st visit and very impressed, service was impeccable and delightfully old-school, food was wonderful - inventive without being too 'trendy' and no gimmicks! Prices were appropriate for the high standards, but still reasonable. Staff were professional, friendly, but not intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble and all dietary requirements catered for. Having dined at many reputable establishments throughout the UK over the years, we are delighted to find this gem on our doorstep, and we cannot understand why it has taken us so long to dine here. Brasted's is our new regular go-to restaurant.”
“Great pub, they’ve smashed it with the street food vendors and have made it a real staple of the village again with their proactive and positive management.”
“Lovely meal for 16 mostly adults. Great food. Generous portions. Very reasonable prices. Thank you”
“Lovely little country pub and new landlord/landlady Anna and Ben were really welcoming.”
“Must be the best takeaway in Norfolk. We had lamb shank tonight which were lovely with good portions but the desert of summer pudding was delicious. We have had a few meals from The Pepperpot and always found them superb, lovely flavours and great packaging means meals are piping hot when you get home. Great service, thank you Pepperpot.”
“We had a takeaway from here tonight. We have been meaning to try it for years and it didn’t disappoint! Very tasty food! No reheated meals and MSG here. If you want tasty, fresh food then this hits the spot! Looking forward to going back for more soon.”
“Caston and Sue are wonderful hosts, this is a special little pub with a wonderful atmosphere, a warm welcome and great food.”
“Was nice and lively when we arrived (around 9.30 on a Friday night), but the service was quick and friendly. Prices were good and there is a couple of parking spots. Large toilets for both ladies and gents, and a pool table in its area to the back of the pub.”
“Just the most delicious antipasti, venison steak and lemon tart! The chef knows what he’s doing and Lizzie is excellent front of house. Thank you for such an amazing meal. Will be back!”
“This place is amazing, so much choice it makes your head spin. My favourite is German beer and the variety they stock is brilliant from Helles, Kolsch, Weiss Beer, Pilsner, Oktoberfest and much more. Love this place and the staff are very friendly.”
“Had a great Sunday roast. Huge Yorkshire pudding, lovely fresh vegetables and excellent slices of beef topped with a gravy boat. Service was very good too”
“Sunday lunch in the Great Hall; great atmosphere in an impressive venue. Menu perhaps a little small, but very well cooked and impressively presented. Staff friendly and engaging, if sometimes slightly stretched at busy times.”
“So lucky to have The Crown just up the road from me. Enjoyed it's boozy offerings for a while but never got the chance to sit down for a proper meal until recently. Food and service are bang on, and it's such a cosy space. My only criticism was the scotch egg was a little overcooked, but the main course made up for it. Will definitely be back!”
