“Cosy atmosphere and great service in a former schoolhouse. Tasty freshly cooked food. The prawns pil pil were large and juicy, very nice. The vegetarian mushroom gnocchi had so many different variety of mushrooms in it. I would like to see more vegetarian options for mains though. Good selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. Would recommended.”

“We came here late evening as part of my birthday We were greeted very quickly and given a nice table Drinks were offered straight away but we were given plenty of time to browse the menu and order food (even though I knew straight away what I was having!) “Recommend the lemon chicken, the nicest I have ever eaten, all cooked fresh, with chips or rice. Also the chicken balls, proper chunks of chicken in a really nice light and crispy batter. I had a set three course menu and the portions were generous. It also has a license for drinks.”

“Can’t rate this place enough, been twice now one was to order for a walk to the train station and second today for delivery and I’ve not been disappointed! Me and my partner have both enjoyed it each time. The customer service was amazing and today a delivery was half an hour early to what they said. The food was also amazing both times. Popped in for a quick one and was greeted by a lovely lady who was pleasant and helpful with the craft ales they currently had. “The Crimson Tree is a beautiful café with a unique, vintage atmosphere that feels warm and inviting. The service was excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. We had the Mediterranean breakfast, Brioche French toast, and a hot chocolate. Everything was delicious! I especially loved the flavors, though I do wish the potatoes and falafel in the Mediterranean dish were baked instead of boiled. Overall, a great experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“We love the Lion, the beer is impeccably kept and there are lots of real ales. The food is good and very popular. There are regular quizzes and live music at the weekends. The pub attracts a diverse customer base, a real social mix of ages and background and I think this adds to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It's also very much a dog pub, there are dog beds available and dog snacks too. I thoroughly recommend a visit to The Lion.”

“Probably the best breakfast Cob(Bap) I have ever had. Even the wife was amazed by how good the bacon cob was. This place has found a special place in my heart.I cannot wait for my next trip to Nottingham. Compliments to the two lovely ladies who served us. They remind me of my favourite Auntie. “Had a fantastic meal at Hickory’s Smokehouse in Nottingham last Saturday night with friends! The food was genuinely impressive — hands down the best BBQ I’ve had from anywhere in the UK. The meats were cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and had that authentic smoky taste that’s so hard to find done right over here unless I'm doing it on my BBQ at home!! The staff were brilliant too — super friendly, attentive, and brought a fun, relaxed vibe to the whole experience. It really made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely planning to return soon. If you’re into BBQ and haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!!”

“10outof10 from start to finish We went for the tasting menu which was just perfect Every dish was so delicious and well presented from the sourdough bread (the marmite butter was divine) to finish off with the waygu steak but the chicken pate was something extra.. by far the best dish I had in my life!!! Big shout out to Chris which looked after us so well and make us feel so comfortable and btw the wine he recommended us was spot on.. At the end I would like to thank chef Laurence and his team for such of lovely experience By far best meal ever !! THANKS”
