“Very convenient for restaurants, shops and transport on the Oxford Road.”

“Clean rooms, easy check-in process and great value for money. We stayed during Reading festival and were able to check-in from 8:30am. There were clear signs directing you to a specific car park. From there, it was clearly signposted to walk to the reception to check-in. You are allocated a building and given directions which were easy enough to follow. The rooms themselves were very clean, with enough storage space to unpack any luggage. Great transport links, certain buses stop right on the campus.”

“The hotel was absolutely lovely. As a wheelchair user, I get anxious about going to new places but this hotel is 100% disabled friendly. Although I didn't have a disabled room, the room I had was very spacious and I was still able to use my wheelchair in it easily. It was very clean, the food was delicious (although slightly expensive), and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place for a lovely little retreat, the spa facilities were really nice and also wheelchair friendly!”

“These rooms are perfect for people who are travelling to london via train. You could be in london in 45 minutes with the walk and train included. 10 minute walk maximum to the train station and also 15 minutes into the town centre of reading. Also located in caversham where nice pubs are a 5 minute walk away and backs onto the river themes for all you walkers. They are very clean and kept tidy at a very high standard. I couldn’t fault them when staying here. I highly recommend these. And the girls who run these are lovely to talk to and will help you out as much as they can. I couldn’t fault them when staying here for 6 months.”

“Good location. Next door to Beefeater for food. Booked by company, so walk in pick up card, enter reg number of van into system to avoid parking charge. Nice room with TV, clean comfortable bed. Acceptable bathroom, hairdryer etc. Good kip. Morning coffee, drop card in box. Sorted.”

“Just had our “Surprise” wedding reception here. Staff were more than helpful in getting the room set up despite the fact we were essentially self catering. Moved food into their fridges to keep it cool and kept topping up as needed. Great room for a largish party of 100 or so and despite the 30 degrees outside the air conditioning kept us cool. The staff were really helpful including at the end when we had lots of tables to sort out and clear they did most of it for us making our evening as enjoyable as possible.”

I must say that I’m impressed by the location and more with the with team behind the operations here Ravi & Agnus - these 2 are extremely friendly and super professional. “We have been looking for a solo dog walker for our 4 year old lab Bertie for a while now, I then found Melissa’s details. As soon as i met Melissa i knew she was perfect for Bertie, professional and friendly and you can see she has a great passion for animals! Melissa is very flexible and Bertie is always well walked and sleeps most of the afternoon once he is home. I highly recommend Melissa if you need a dog walker!”

“Phoned the lovely lady midday of arrival 23/10/25 for a travel cot, in the specific room, we paid for. She notified us then that there was a noisy dog near us so would we like to move to the floor above but in same position of building we agreed to that and was very happy with it. The rooms clean the showers were nice and the staff are friendly. Everything was spot on. Thank you”

“We had a superior double room, it had loads of space and a coffee machine (always nice to have) the bed was comfy and the whole room was clean, all the rooms were sealed after cleaning with no one else being aloud it until we went it, so I felt they had taken all steps they could. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic, we had breakfast 2 mornings and dinner 1 night and it was excellent. My only quarrel about here was we could hear the road although it wasn't loud enough to keep us awake. Its a must stay and we will be staying again”

“Stayed at this hotel for 4 days for work training. As someone who has a halal/vegi diet I wasn’t expecting to find halal food. When the hotel staff and manager found out about our dietary restrictions they went above and beyond to accommodate for us. They served us veg options and were unable to provide halal option at the short notice but the fact they tried, goes a long way. Thank you to management and staff for your kind service.”

“This is our second time staying here this year at Dial house hotel..we would definitely be visiting here again and again...it has a charm and character that you don't get with bigger hotel chains...the staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating..the rooms are rustic and the shower is amazing hot and powerful..the rooms are clean and so cosy..the staff has personal attention in details to make our stay comfortable...would definitely recommend you stay here to find out what a great place this is....Spence and Bara”

“I come regularly to visit my children and stay here. The rooms are a little dated, but don’t let this put you off because the beds are super comfy as they have recently changed them all. I had a fantastic nights sleep. The staff are always very welcoming, helpful and polite.Parking is great and I think the price is extremely reasonable for what you get here. This is always my first choice when I come back to Bracknell.”

“I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid, but the room was nice, clean, aired and not stuffy. Bathroom was in good shape as well. Little shower gel and hand soap was provided. The room had a fridge, microwave, some plates and cutlery, and mugs as well as basic coffe and tea options. Athough I'd suggest adding a tea towel or something to put the washed dishes on . The only downside was very loud fridge, it actually woke me up at night There is plenty of parking spaces. I booked with breakfast, good option to choose from even gluten/dairy free options were provided Definitely recommend”

“Lovely hosts, a home from home during renovations - I’m awful with names but the owner was welcoming and friendly in the morning, his niece was absolutely superb! Went out of their way for me to get the keys earlier and the breakfast lady ( sorry I didn’t ask name) was kind, interactive with my daughter and I actually can’t fault the room.... comfy bed, lovely shower, extremely clean and more than value for money! Will be staying here a lot more while we are renovating! Thank you for being so accommodating on short notice and making us feel at home”

“I was dubious about spending a night here with my family as some reviews were bad. However I really don’t understand some of them. We have gone away for a night and this was the closest and cheapest hotel so we thought why not. We came in and the receptionist was nice and helpful. Our room was a family room on the second floor at the back of the building (room 203) and it was really nice. It was clean, stocked well with tea, the sheets and bedding were clean as my wife has a thing for checking. There were towels and body wash. We were really impressed! The beds were comfy and they had extra pillows. I can say for £64 a night you really can’t go wrong. Would stay here again.”

“I wasn't expecting a great deal from this hotel on a University campsite but I was very pleasantly impressed. Comfortable clean room, tea & Coffee making facilities and any staff I happened upon were extremely pleasant. Great value for a bed for the night. The Park Bar next door was fab too. Didn't eat there but enjoyed the drinks and ambiance”

“Needed a place to stay for a couple of weeks and this was like home from home. Great to be able to cook for ourselves, without having to go out. Fantastic location. Not far from local amenities. Free WiFi, which was excellent. Parking which was a bonus. Would definitely use again if needing a place to stay for longer than 2 nigjts. Nice touches with hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Kitchen was well equipped. I even cooked a roast dinner.”

“Visited the bar several evenings running, as there was great football coverage. The bar was very comfortable and welcoming, warm, and the beer was great! Will definitely be visiting again.”

“Stranded near Reading with a travel fridge and a dog, desperately seeking the location of a hotel that would accommodate us. Enter Ibis. They told us over the phone just to show up because there's plenty of room. Night staff were super friendly. Very warm reception and free hot drinks. Generously sized room, as others have mentioned. Breakfast was included in the price, and morning staff were also very helpful and courteous. My wife needed to sleep off the effort of the night before but they still happily made me a bacon butty for her (breakfast is until 9). But checkout wasn't until 12 so we still had time to snooze. And even after all of that, midday reception was kind enough to put our bags into the luggage room and even plugged in our fridge! Nobody ever said no to us the whole time; always don't worry, they'll sort it out. Even the housekeeping staff were patient and helpful, and we merely had to navigate their Henry hoover in the corridor! You may notice the place could do with a dab of paint or a couple of carpet nails here and there but I challenge anyone to find this a reason to complain after such great service at such a good price. If you go, remember to be courteous and you will be well met in kind. Oh, and don't accidentally go to the big Ibis in town, or the Ibis Styles on Duke Street. Apologies to the night staff at Duke Street because we thought we had spoken to them on the phone but they don't allow dogs!”

“Currently staying at this B&B and I'm always a bit apprehensive with B&B's instead of hotels...I needn't have been....comfy beds, nice bathroom..brilliant location with stunning canal walks less than a minute away...and the service has been unreal..nothing seems to much trouble we got there really early and the manageress/owner (didn't catch her name) could not have been friendlier. She got rooms ready for us asap and rang when they were ready...I can't recommended the place enough and will definitely stay again if in the area. Best B&B I've stayed in. “I see many comments the place is dated. Maybe so but still very presentable. Room was clean and came with balcony overlooking the lake which was great. Staff have been very friendly and the breakfast was good as was the evening meal. So dated maybe but many more years of service this hotel is capable off.”
