The décor is elegant and stylish without feeling pretentious — a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. The service is absolutely excellent. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure everything went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble, and they anticipated our needs throughout the evening. Onto the food — simply divine! The menu is innovative, beautifully presented, and each dish is bursting with flavour. Ingredients are clearly high-quality, and each course was prepared with care. I especially loved the starters, which were a perfect introduction to what came next, and dessert was a treat I’ll remember for a long time. Drinks selection is very good too — the cocktails are creative, the wine list is well-curated, and there were options to suit everyone’s taste. All in all, Viv’s at The Grange, Wokingham exceeded all expectations. Whether for a romantic dinner, a celebration, or just a treat — I can’t recommend it highly enough. They also run daily food deals, which makes it really good value for money. It’s not just a place for a meal or a pint – it’s also a great spot to work from during the day. The broadband is fast and reliable, and the atmosphere is relaxed but friendly, so it works really well if you need a change of scene from home. It is important to clarify that only one room was booked, not two. Furthermore, our arrival was not at 12:30; however, the primary reason for the negative review was the perceived rudeness of the individual I spoke with over the phone. Moving forward, following my stay at the hotel on Saturday, I was granted both an early check-in and a late check-out, which was greatly appreciated. The staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and hospitality. The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and offers a diverse selection of culinary options, including a main menu and a breakfast buffet. Hospitable, kind and alert, without being overbearing. Pizza express is always reliable, but this was an especially good outing.”

“Always a good day when we come here. Parking is on the expensive side, over £2 for 1 hour. Can't remember if it was £2.20 or £2.50. Kids love it here. My grandad passed away last month and we used to come here with him alot. We even celebrated his 80th birthday here during covid. We came last weekend to remember grandad and share memories with a nice walk around the lake.”

“We had an amazing experience at Biriyani Lounge! The biriyani was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked rice, rich flavours, and tender meat. The dragon chicken was a real standout — crispy, spicy, and full of taste. The chicken gravy was just awesome and went perfectly with the biriyani. The food was served hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. Definitely one of the best places for biriyani lovers! Highly recommend!”

Their portions are great, you won’t be hungry after! Very dog friendly too with a special doggy treats area. Nice selection of alcohol free drinks too. A proper pub.”
