βI would like to write some positive experiences with Lower Earley branch. Proactively remind me about next collection of medication. Answers all questions over telephone calls. I had to do 2 claims recently and learning about the process, when you raise any claims on pet insurance portal if you give direct branch email, process will be smooth because branch is very responsive once they receive email from insurance provider. Very happy with service.β
βMy bunny last week had an urgent pain, Abi and the team found out it was the liver twist. Glad we agreed with the teamβs decision to give my baby an immediate surgery, he managed to survive. Thanks to Abi, Ben, Meg and the team for saving my bunny and let him back to my life β€οΈβ
βChris felstead- I have been with him for 10 years. Other vets fail to correctly diagnose and their response to all appointments has been in leave in Overnight or carry out extortionate tests. 99% have failed to identify, where Chris has always recommended at home treatments where possible. I no longer have insurance since it was tripled with no explanation and no ongoing illnesses, and so all treatments are self funded. I really wish that veterinary practices were more fairly/reasonably priced, but understand that this is a huge money making industry. I am very nervous and sceptical about booking any other vet than Chris. Have standards / qualifications dropped in this field or do many no longer care? Perhaps their owning companies have set financial targets per appointment?β
βGreat people who seem to care about our dog and work around his behaviours and our lifestyles. Very thorough and thoughtful people. Plus you can see our boys handsome face on instagram.β
βI have used Castle Vets for over 20 years. Everyone is lovely and kind and I always feel like they love my pets (nearly) as much as I do! Itβs a bit out of the way from where I live now, but I still canβt bring myself to change. My dog might never forgive me!β
βI want to praise the receptionist, Michele, who could not have been kinder. Also vet, Rachel. Itβs an anxious time when your animal is unwell and they really helped.β

βAlways friendly, efficient and fairly priced. The best vets I've experienced so far.β
βI have always found GP Vets are about the animal and the human, they understand that they are not only treating the animal but also caring and giving sound advice and support to the human, you are not treated like an oddity because you care deeply about the furry or feathered valued member of your family, I personally would not trust my dogs with any other practice.β
βHuge supermarket surrounded by other stores in a vast Carpark . Very close to M4, we have a 7metre long camper vehicle but we were able to navigate the access without difficultyβ
βRachael has been very prompt to respond to my email queries about her practice and my puppy's health and wellbeing, including best practice in training and other tips. Rachael and her team visited my home to administer my puppy's vaccinations, and due to restrictive measures stayed in our garden, and were very focused on ensuring that my puppy's first encounter with her as a vet was very positive and fun! Thanks, Rachael!β
βI made an enquiry about a product that I have been using for a long time that suddenly became impossible to get hold of. I received a prompt, courteous and informative response from John which was very much appreciated after weeks of getting nowhere with other companies.β
βGreat place to take your dog if it needs medical attention. Dogs are mans best friend so you need to take care of them.β
βTesco Extra in Abingdon carries a wide range of familiar items and a reasonable stock of ethnically diverse items. Food prices are cheaper than Waitrose and Marks, more expensive than Lidl or Aldi, and approximately equal to Sainsbury's and Asda. A clean store, with well-stocked shelves, wide aisles and friendly staff, it is a pleasant place to shop.β
βGreat place for shopping at reasonable prices. There are plenty of places for parking. Fuel station is showing as open in Google, but actually it's closed, due to some work going on. So if you are going for β½. Just wait til the work is completed.β
βTesco reading west is 2nd biggest Tesco Extra In Reading. Very convenient and clean store. It has verity of products from clothing to Asian food. It has in store pharmacy and options. You will find something for everyone. Very huge free car park on site as well as car wash in parking lots.β
βWent for breakfast with son. Great fast service. My avocado toast was arranged in shape of heart. Lovely touch. Great service from lady called Paula. What a great employee.β
βOur go to place for weekly shopping. Great location and plenty of parking on site. Β£5 spend will allow you to park for 3 hours. You can find pretty much all grocery items, there are section for clothing (children, kids, adults including small schooluniform section), toys, frozen food isles etc. Dedicated isles for bakery, children/infant food, kitchen items amd laundry as well. Overall good experience with very helpful staff and management.β
βAsda Lower Earley isnβt your typical supermarket experience, itβs far better. Set within a striking, glass-fronted building that feels more like a modern department store than a weekly shop, itβs spacious, bright, and genuinely pleasant to walk around. No soulless metal box here, this is a thoughtfully designed space that lifts the mood before youβve even picked up a basket. Inside, the selection is vast and well-organised, making everything from everyday essentials to specialist ingredients easy to find. Fresh produce is abundant and well-stocked, and thereβs a strong variety in world foods, bakery, and chilled ranges. Itβs the kind of store where you can do a full weekly shop and still pick up a good-value bottle of fizz on the way out. Prices are reliably competitive, and the customer service stands out, helpful, polite and refreshingly unflustered. You get the sense staff take pride in the store. In short, Asda Lower Earley is a proper gem: easy to navigate, well presented, and a cut above the standard big-box supermarket. Well worth a visit even if itβs just for the sheer joy of a bright, spacious trolley dash.β
