“I don't usually like dark chocolate but their 70% chocolate is amazing! I discovered this on the tour, which we got though the Kickstarter. My favourite was the number 1 chocolate bar from haiti. Max is very friendly and very passionate with lots of plans for his business. The tour came with a free cookie quick was so delicious, so much chocolate! Has a beer nice coffee too.”

“This review is based from 6 month ago up to the present day of posting - Since finding this Gem of a cafe my wife & I have been popping in for a small breakfast on average about once a week- we have never had to complain once yet- Michael (the owner )& his staff always make you feel welcome - it is a nice & clean sized cafe with seating for 20 people + toilet facilities- if you are in the area why not give it a try - I don't think you will go away disappointed”

“Coffee and cake at 10 am. Beautiful cafe, nice menu but we were there for cake. Lattes were really delicious, best I've had for a long time. My friends blueberry scone looked fabulous. I am coeliac, the only option was chocolate brownie. It was fine but I would have liked more choice.”

“Visited the Lounge for breakfast with family for a little birthday get together. The place was clean & spacious. The decor was lovely too. The service was great, very fast, friendly & efficient. Now for the food, x4 luxury breakfasts & x1 ultimate breakfast . . . . wow, they were all fantastic, the presentation was great, the food was fresh & very tasty. The breakfasts were BIG & definitely well worth the money. We all enjoyed it so much, that we can’t wait to go back. Thank you for making our morning a very happy one. Keep doing what you’re doing!! “I used to visit The Grind Café at Kelham Island regularly three years ago, especially for their Pancake of the Week, which I enjoyed twice a month without fail. However, I stopped going after they changed chefs—unfortunately, the pancakes were no longer as delicious, and I left feeling disappointed. This year, I was thinking that the same chef might have moved to a café in Crookes, so I decided to check it out. When I arrived, I was told the chef had left and they no longer served Pancake of the Week. I mentioned how disappointed I was, and to my surprise, the waitress kindly asked the new chef if they could make one specially for me. To my delight, the pancake was absolutely delicious—The Grind Café has truly returned to its best. Not only was the pancake top quality again, but the rest of the food was also excellent. I sincerely hope the management continues to support great chefs like the current one and considers hiring more staff. It’s a lovely café, and with the right team, it can keep delighting more customers in Sheffield.”

“Had a lovely meal here this evening. A big shout out to Ethan our server. He was very attentive and even tho we didn’t shout out about my birthday, he picked up on that and brought out our desserts with a happy birthday on the plate. Thank you Ethan you’re a star!”

“I recently visited Cafe Des Amis in Sheffield and had a really good experience. The sausages were very juicy and full of flavour, the poached eggs were cooked nicely, and the mushrooms were delicious. The toast with butter was a simple but perfect combo. I also tried the Arabic coffee – it was very strong and authentic, just as it should be. The café itself was very clean and well-kept, including the toilets, which is always a good sign. Overall, a great spot for breakfast and definitely worth visiting again!”

“Lovely cafe, I'd definitely recommend a visit. Bright and airy inside with huge windows letting in lots of light and loads of outdoor seating too. The team were all friendly and attentive, expertly handling difficult match-day customers with good humour. The food was delicious with good sized portions that made it great value for money so I'll be back for more twice-cooked chips soon.”

“I recently arranged a work Christmas meal for a large group of staff, and the entire experience was exceptional. The meal was absolutely stunning, and the service was flawless. Every member of the team was polite, courteous and professional throughout. A special thanks to Sam, the General Manager, who ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I’d also like to highlight the brilliant idea of using place cards with names and personal menu choices — this made the delivery of each dish incredibly efficient. “Absolutely beautiful pub ! Landlord and his 4 legged furry landlady Millie are welcoming , keeping the atmosphere light and positive! Staff are friendly and on the ball . The pub is clean and smells lovely with good drinks served at smaller prices !”

The pub is friendly and welcoming and the Management are always attentive and informative on forthcoming menu's. I would recommend this pub.”

“Our first experience of Etto today and it won't be our last. The value for money is excellent and the selection on offer is ideal for coffee and cake, light bites or lunch. We had lunch and a treat; everything was delicious. The establishment is clean and staff are quick to clear tables and ensure you are comfortable, even when the place is full. A special mention needs to me made of Laura T who served us with a smile and, despite the busyness, made the tile fly! The food was high quality, piping hot and extremely tasty, so thank you to the kitchen team, and we will absolutely be back! All in all, a great experience and I'd recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone popping up to Lakeside.”

Terry's a grand old lad, very friendly, as we've found the staff & customers too. Hopefully calling in for some Saturday morning brekkies soon..”
