“This was a very pleasant and cozy place to eat well cooked and delicious food. The new management makes the Neptune's fish and chips a place you can eat daily. I was tried cod and chips and cheese and haddock. Excellent pukka pies. If you prefer you can eat gluten free cod roe or chips. There is a meat free menu also. George is very polite and friendly as all the other staff, too. Prices are very good. The place is one of the most cleaned ones i ever saw. Highly recommended”

“Geoegio's and his brother has been serving up tasty fish& chips to my in laws for years, who in turn turned me on to his sumptuous crispy slabs of cod and crisps chips. His pukka pies are right up there too. It's a quick walk up to grab our meal. My wife's aunt and uncle tell us we need to return for our wonderful walks along the seaside, and up the coast to Whitby to complete our seaside trip. Of course, when we visit I always go for my runs toward south Anston through the local youth cricket grounds, Anston-wood trails, along the river locks, to the butcher's near the elementary school. I then run back past two farms, wastewater treatment plant, and onto Geoegio's fish & chips. They're amazed I'm never hungry after my runs. Unless, of course, Uncle Stewart makes his ambrosia :g”

“Excellent and highly recommended! We had the set meal for 2 which is 2 platters and a desert! The food was excellent as were the cocktails followed by prosecco. There was a DJ and 2 singers playing /singing live in the outdoors bit (which is covered). Very enjoyable advise you visit and try!”

Would recommend Heard great things about this place so drove up for big Friday tea for the family only to walk in and see 'Cash Only' sign. Chippy tea not cheap these days so didn't have enough in pocket to pay as, like most people, don't tend to carry cash these days. Will probably come back another time to try the food and leave another review then”

“Ordered on a Saturday night and food arrived after about 45 mins absolutely piping hot, food was delicious, we ordered a mini fish which was probably one of the largest mini fish we've had from a chippy, the chips were spot on and the sausages you could tell were fresh too. Will definitely order from here again.”

“Went to Barracuda tonight for the first time and it was STUNNING. One of the only places in Mansfield I've known to sell Savaloy which was absolutely delicious. The chips were incredible and very fresh. The servers were also incredibly friendly. I definitely will be coming here again!”

Their menu is pretty varied as you would expect from a chippy nowadays, so if you are wanting a kebab or fried chicken instead that’s also available.”

“Ordered through JustEat, took less than half an hour to be delivered and they were still red hot. The batter on the fish was nice and crispy, lovely white fish, just the right amount of chips without being over faced. The gravy was amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who can get their hands on this takeaway.”

“Absolute top draw... my family and I called in for a chippy treat after the circus. The chips were perfect, the haddock cooked fresh and the batter not at all greasy. It was a beautiful meal. Seven of us had something different from the menu and we all agreed it was the beautiful. Some even said it was the best chippy they had been to. Doesn't quite beat the Yorkshire Fisheries in Blackpool for me but it is a VERY close second! We will be back.”
