We tend to go for places with a good ambience and this is definitely high up on the list and we felt very comfortable. “Such lovely staff serve up the food and drinks at Buttylicious. You can eat inside or sit outside using one of the new tables and benches available. Full cooked breakfasts are available, and vegetarian breakfasts are also advertised. However, the vegetarian option doesn't include vegetarian sausage or bacon. The breakfast consists of hash browns, egg, beans or tomatoes. There is a good range of hot & cold sandwiches available. I can definitely say that the chip buttys are really tasty. Excellent chips, best we have tasted for a long time. To top it all off, if you still have room, there is a really good range of cakes that taste as good as they look. Over the months, we have never been disappointed with them and have resorted to buying them to take home too...... Hope you all enjoy your food”

“Wonderful find. Jo and her team made this small but perfectly lovely cafe a really special visit. Everything was delicious, the toasties were somehow so much better than the usual cafe fare, I think it was the high quality bread and ingredients. The puddings and custard were also excellent, we had the Bakewell pudding and the rhubarb and apple tart, both with (just howI like it, not too runny) custard. Excellent. Finally thanks Jo, you couldn't have made us feel more welcome! Best cafe I've been to for a long time, you can see why it won best Derbyshire cafe this year!”

“Pleasant, independent Italian coffee shop and restaurant. You can order pizza or pasta (homemade with local ingredients) alongside a coffee for less than the cost of a shipped-in panini at other places. Also do a variety of salads and sandwiches.”

“Fantastic restaurant for a special occasion! Had a 7 course taster menu with paired wines and everything was beautifully presented and tasted great. This is a bit on the expensive side but worth a visit for a special night. Service was excellent and the staff really know their wines! The place had a very homely feel yet still very posh!”

“The food is delicious. It is a little more expensive than other places in close proximity but it is worth it. The portion sizes are the size of a good hearty meal. The white pukka pasta is devine and the ladies who work in the shop are really welcoming and friendly. We call and order ahead and the food is ready and waiting for you, all piping hot. I wish they did gluten free options too.”

“Always love coming here! All of the staff are really friendly, and are really understanding about my food allergies. The food options on the standard menu are vast, and there is also always a great selection of specials on the boards. The cakes are BEAUTIFUL and such unusual flavours! We come here every few months for a brunch and love it every time, and would always recommend!”

“I thought I'd stop giving my money to those pesky American chains and try a local pizza by local people. Boy they did not disappoint! Ingredients quality is much higher and our pizzas had this beautiful char from what I assume is a wood fired oven. Piecewise it's about the same as a D*****'s and delivery was exactly on time so it's a no brainer, this place is my official new pizza provider. I can't wait to try the calzones!”
