βExtremely polite and helpful staffβ
βI was rushed in Doncaster royal infirmary with prostate, bladder issues, I spent five days there my treatment was excellent. Later I needed an operation on prostate, green Lazer surgery my treatment was exemplary. Now roll on a few months my wife now a dying person was taken to Doncaster royal infirmary. The ambulance service for my wife was no more than, callous indifferent, and deplorable, for a person that was dying. My wife was in hospital for one week before she passed on. THE HOSPITAL DID THEIR BEST for her , last week alive. Now I sat with my wife for the last 37 hours of her life and not once did the hospital offer any form of refreshment, I had to go down 3 flights of stairs to a vending machine. No problem. But what was unpleasant was that when my wife died I went for a nurse who promptly came , saw my wife had died from that moment not one person from the medical profession offered any form of condolence. I was completely ignored. They offered no help whatsoever. I waited for a doctor to confirm my wife's time of death he never came, after waiting a half hour.I had no option but to leave, not very caring.β
βI have been with Clifton surgery for years and have never had any problems at all . The reception staff are lovely ,the GP,s and nurses great . I work at a different surgery in Rotherham not connected to Clifton and totally understand some of the frustration and anger the patients encounter , the waiting times for calls, the lack of appointments to offer and having to use the online services. Unfortunately this is the NHS. and surgeries have little choice when things change. We can't go back to the old ways queuing up in the morning , demanding an appointment with a particular gp.for a sniffle. It upsets alot of patients but im sure Clifton surgery is doing its best to help everyone at a difficult time. It is not the receptionists fault if there are no appointments left or they ask you what the appointment is for, it is to make sure you see the right clinician. Due to some people wanting an appointment a minor cough, cold, sore throat that they only had a couple of days, or hay fever or back pain that a pharmacist or physio can deal with is one of the reasons there are no appointments left for you or your family the genuine unwell patient. In addition to this the people who book appointments and do not attend anyway! again they are wasting an appointment that could be yours. This is across the whole of the Nhs GPS and hospitals . Clifton medial centre are trying their best to help everyone.please have a little more understanding, they are doing the best to help you ! Keep up the good work Clifton .β
βIβve been registered with this practice since I moved to Sheffield a few years ago; it has all the services you need and itβs well located near public transport. Dr Rowe, my GP is easy to talk to and takes the time to listen to my concerns. I was offered great support for a long term illness, any follow ups or access to other services have always been quick. Thanks Clover City Practice and thank you for your support, Dr Rowe!β
βStaff here have always gone above & beyond. Never had a problem. Receptionists are always helpful. Don't know why people leave negative reviews. We need to understand surgeries these days have 3x more patients than they did before so sometimes will struggle to get people in on the same day. Plus you will always get them patients that will book appointments for the most unnecessary thing which inevitably takes up slots someone else could have with a more serious problem.β
βMy 90 old father is housebound, in poor health and has dementia. I have had to contact the pharmacy a number of times in the past few months regarding his repeat prescriptions and have found the staff to be extremely helpful and professional.β
βFairly new to this surgery, can honestly say they are amazing! Each dr i have seen have been fantastic, take their time to listen. Always get an on the day appt through the app. So glad i changed surgery.β
βCongratulations Emma, part of a fantastic team at Sothall. A year ago before my wife and I moved home, we used your surgery many times and you were faultless. Some years ago one evening for a routine appointment, you saved my life after I couldn't be admitted to hospital and your staff were so attentive and caring. You deserve more stars but you I will always remember you all, as my wife will too.β
βThey are absolutely lovely, & so helpful they have saved my life and I am eternally grateful for it, the only minor issue is waiting until I was at my worst to get to the top of the list but, they are absolutely amazing.β
βExcellent Service. I needed to speak to a Medical Professional so i rang the surgery and was immediately offered an appointment with a Specialist Nurse Practioner within the hour. I was advised on the best way forward to resolve my medical problem. Due to the advice i was given by the Specialist Nurse Practioner the issue has now been resolved. First class treatment from start to finish, thankyou. The Specialist Nurse Practioner also rang yesterday with my test results and to check if i was now well. Thankyou.β
βAlways found this surgery to be good . If your problem is urgent , the act on it . Donβt expect instant appointments if your problem isnβt urgent . Too many people waste Doctors time and should think whether a chemist can give advice instead of using Doctors valuable time up.β
βI have never had a bad experience here. My recent appointment on 10/10/25 was fab. Was seen by Dr Lee, got an appt within the same day, felt heard, listened to, acknowledged. Got the help I needed. Canβt fault anything!β
βI have to say everyone complains about doctors receptionist. However today I met Karen, a wonderful lady that sorted out everything we needed to help my Mum. Thank youβ
βI've been with this practice since an infant It's had its ups and down like lost things in life but these past few years they are trying to go above and beyond for their patients Insee doctor Kumar for my arthritis injections and yes always a pleasure to deal with I see doctor Helen for various reasons and she is second to non in terms of care and understanding She's had helped me though some dark times and illness I highly recommend their standards as it stands now and cannot thank them enough The staff, receptionists, nurses and doctors are all there for you In these trying times I believe they're doing their absolute best for their patients and I thank them Keep up the good work Kind regards Dean Qβ
βToday I rang the doctors to request an appointment. Through anima the receptionist, called Andy, processed my complex request with efficiency, care, kindness and respect. He went above and beyond to assist me with my request. I am grateful for Andy's professional and pleasant approach. Thank you very much.β
