“Honestly exceeded all expectations. Wonderful vibes. All the humans are friendly and welcoming. Good coffee. Pizza and baguettes were freshly prepared and delicious. Brilliant details - cloud lightshades against a bright blue ceiling, emerald tabletops, creative cakes, fab eclectic playlist, and rainbows everywhere. “Called in here with a workmate,killing a couple of hours between jobs. It was very quiet at around 4.30pm, but within an hour was very busy. Cracking selection of beers/lagers. Very friendly lady behind the bar. We both ordered the fish fingers on ciabatta - very, very nice, and the chips were proper ones too, none of your oven chips here! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!”

I had the steak pie with mash and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was, packed with tender steak and bursting with flavour. Couldn’t resist dessert and went for the fruit crumble with custard… absolutely unbelievable! I’m not local, otherwise I’d be back on a regular basis. I was placed in the downstairs room which was a little susceptible to the sound of creaky floorboards upstairs but was so warm and nicely decorated that I didn't mind. The massage was great, and didn't feel rushed. For the price and the convenience I thought they provided a great service.”

“Had a meal here, massive BMTH fans. The restaurant is 100% vegan, out of the 6 of us only 2 were vegans, usually when I have vegan food it's "ok" at best, but this was different. I had the hex mex, one of the best burgers I've ever had, even the fries tasted better than normal - but they're just fries, how is this possible? Out of the other 5 people, 1 said it was she best burger he's ever had, and the other 4 all said its some of the best food they've ever had. The place itself is aesthetically pleasing and the music being played was very much to our taste, everything was clean and tidy. Only knocked 1 star off service because somewhere along the line they managed to forget mine and a friends meal and we had to wait 20 minutes for it, but we didn't care because the food was that nice I didn't care, I was munching on my wife's waffle fries and a friends nachos while I was waiting, swallow the food almost orgasmicslly.”

“Made my first visit to this pub in February 2024 after hearing so much about it for many years. One of the main recommendations was based on the choice of beers but, being coeliac, I wasn't sure if it would be suitable. However, I was very pleased when I was offered a list of gluten free beers to choose from - albeit in bottles and not on draught (but maybe one day?). As they had a number of Wold Top beers, I decided to try the Marmalade Porter, which was nice and refreshing even on a damp and overcast day. Didn't have any food while we were there but having heard about the gluten free options since, I would like to try it on another visit. It's a lovely old-fashioned pub with friendly staff and a place that was worthy of its recommendation so I would like to pass on the recommendation.”

“Finally found a proper pub in N Sheffield after 2 years living here. Lovely old building, great beers, really friendly locals and staff, family and dog friendly but well behaved kids and dogs! Cosy, charming, it had the soul and inclusive ambience that most boozers north of the city are really lacking. Food was well priced, didn’t blow me away but I think they were busy concentrating on the Sunday roasts. Would like to check out the pizzas in the future…. I just wish there were pubs like this (or any pubs!) around Wincobank. Please go in and support their business. Well done H&J, I will be back!”
