The Boat House Cafe - Swanwick Marina

    ★★★★☆ 4
    Open

“Me and a friend booked a table in the late evening for some drinks and it was great! Had a fab time and really impressed as I haven’t seen The Boathouse since it’s been rebuilt. So popular but good music, able to talk, good vibes. Recommend the lychee martini, insane. Thanks to Sissy and Bronwyn for such a warm welcome and being massively attentive to us! And credits to the chef (Rhys?) for saying hello and telling us a bit about the place and food. Superb!”

“This cafe is not a quaint tea room and initially I only gave it 4☆ but then I thought of how good the food was and how helpful the staff were and didn't feel I could deprive it of top marks. It's a lovely place for a meal or a quick coffee after a walk on the Common.”

    Morrisons Cafe

    ★★★☆☆ 3.5
    Open

“We were really impressed with this cafe. We came in for an early dinner after coming off the ferry before driving home. There's a good menu with some nice home comforts. Prices are brilliant and the staff were really friendly. Our food came fairly quickly and the portion sizes were great and the quality was much better than I expected. My fish pie was delicious with loads of fish. Had apple crumble with lashings of custard for dessert. Shame it closes at 6.”
