“Great afternoon out. You can start in the cafe and get some nice food with a fair amount of choice, it's a little expensive but it is good quality to go with it. The railway I good as you can get a return ticket so you can get off at the lakes and have a little walk around them and if you have small ones then there is a fenced off park area near the station to visit. The trains are good fun, and they have space for a buggy or two if you need to take it with you to the other end. The return journey is a bit more scenic and features the tunnel, which, if you have children who are sensitive to loud noises, may be unsettled when they go through it.”

“Mottisfont run by the NT was a gem hidden in the Hampshire countryside. We had been recommended the Rose garden and even though the roses and many of the flowers were past there best show ( June) there were many beautiful roses and flowers to see. The scents were heavenly, I especially like old fashioned roses with scents to match, well worth sticking your nose near the rose petals as the perfume was fabulous. Everywhere was within easy access I was with my 91 yrs old Mother who is not as steady on her feet but managed to get around with a couple of seat stops and a cuppa in the old kitchen cafe on arrival! Great day out”

“Still my favourite restaurant around. Super service and scrummy food just how I remembered. Returned after 3.5 years away and was greeted as we walked in the door by staff. Lovely to see an open fire lit for lunch service. Cosy and welcoming. Food was just how I remembered, fresh and flavourful. Abbie and team were very attentive. Loved it and won’t leave it so long next time!”

“Lovely museum. Really makes you consider something we all take for granted, the humble brick and the history surrounding it's production and the lives of the people that made it. We came on a none steam day and the museum was quiet. Signage is very informative and easy for children to access. The cafe does good food for a fair price. We had some nice bacon baps. They have an old arcade section with fun old games which are good fun. The children's trail allows them to have one free go on the machines and my two managed to win some sweets which made them very happy. This is an absolute museum is a must for anyone interested in the industrial revolution and/or engineering.”

“My birthday dinner here with a group of eight friends. They handled the big booking effortlessly. Every dish came out hot and fresh especially loved the garlic bread with cheese. Everyone left happy.”

“I attend a class here fortnightly, the cafe has a nice selection of hot and cold drinks, with a small selection of pre packaged snacks. The staff are friendly. Ample parking”

“A truly charming place, ideal for a leisurely countryside visit, whether you’re exploring the lovely garden, walking estate trails, or soaking up Georgian ambience. A peaceful, welcoming gem in the South Downs. Free parking on site. If you're using wheelchair try to park in the top car park and all the car parks are having uneven surfaces. There's a nice cafe inside. The staffs are very friendly and informative. Overall it was a really great experience for our family!!”

“Great asian grocery store that has a wide range of items and always has fresh veg. Has a ramp that can cater to disabled people and the aisles are also wide enough and easy to maneuver”

“Well maintained Wildlife Park with lots to see and do on site. Currently they have a Japanese Sika deer, some Fallow deer, a large number of otters, Scottish wild cats, Lynx, Wolverine, European Bison, Wild Boar, Wallabies Soon they will have wolves. Red deer currently in quarantine so on show shortly. Worth every penny of the admission fee. Very educational too.”

“A nice place to have a long stroll or even as a picnic with the family. There is a play area for the kids and toilets are close by. There is loads of space for parking and a cafe if you haven’t brought any food.”

“This is a lovely park along the Solent. There is the beach (shingle), a sensory garden, paths through the woods, and a café (very clean, small shop). There is a car park (administered by Hampshire County Council = expensive)”

“Lucky to have beautiful weather; perfect short walk if you have young ones and a buggy! Parked in the Ealing car park which is free (toll Bridge is only £1) and then walked all the way round the mill pond and over Bartley water. Ended at the cafe - the ladies in here were so lovely! Food was simple but tasty and just what we needed (I have a 6yr old and a 21 month old). Then walked to Goatee beach and played there for a while. Lovely day out with the family”

“Boscombe Gardens Boscombe Chine Gardens were developed originally from a ‘chine’ of heath and mire into a splendid Victorian garden, a central part of Boscombe. These gardens offer a lovely mix of scenery and activities with formal flower beds, large grassy areas for recreation, mini golf, basketball court and a water-themed playground. Squirrel Cafe and mini golf is owned and operated by The Parks Foundation. Having a cuppa here, or a game of crazy golf (or both!) supports your local parks and open spaces. We have recently opened our upstairs cafe, here you can purchase hot and cold drinks, freshly baked cakes and daily specials. The Chine is beautiful and walks down to Boscombe beach filled with wildlife andplay park.”

“Brilliant food, great service! Reasonably priced with good sized portions, the food came quickly and all together. Veggy curry was lush, and the pie of the day was really good too. They also had live music which was a really nice addition.”

From ordering over the telephone right down to delivery very polite lovely people would give more then 5 stars if we could”
