“The food was absolutely delicious, great portion sizes, superb flavour highly recommend”
“Lovely experience at Shark Tail Sushi! The food was fresh and delicious, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff were genuinely polite and welcoming, making the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. Booking a table was super easy, and we didn’t have to wait long at all for our food. Prices were fair and reflected the quality perfectly. Definitely a place I’ll return to. I highly recommend!”
“I went to the Absolutely Dragulous Bottomless Brunch and had such an amazing time! The staff were so friendly and helpful, making sure we had plenty of water and drinks served regularly. Definitely worth it! Fred was particularly amazing, he stayed positive throughout the day!!”
“This is a great place to walk, the views from near the horse monument are great, you can see the cranes away at Southampton and on a good day the type 42? On the top of Portsdown Hill. There are a lot of car parks so if one is busy drive down the road to the next one. The car parks are free, well done, to I think Winchester council, so many councils want to take so much in fees for parking instead of realising these open spaces are needed for relaxation by us all. The car parks are a bit tight for larger motorhomes but OK for camper vans, the roads are country lanes so a big vehicle will need to be careful. Great place to visit with great views all around.”
“Fishlake Meadows Nature Reserve is a lovely place for walks and birdwatching. It can be muddy after much rain, but on the sunny day we went there, the footpaths were dry. We were a group of birders and saw dozens of different species.”
“Great place to walk the dogs plenty of benches and dog bins a plus as it's a struggle to find them in the new forest.”
“Great doggie walk ,safe area , good park for the kids to play as well..”
“We booked a multi day Yorkshire Dales trip with On Foot and it exceeded our expectations. The On Foot team was very responsive, helpful and always answered my, albeit many, questions. I am so appreciative of their attention to detail. They provided detailed guides for the walk including gps tracks and those made us feel more comfortable and safe. The local contact, Shaun, was also very helpful and kind, checking in with us each day to see how we were doing, encourage and provide tips. They also booked table reservations for us at great restaurants and we were happy to have these as some places were fully booked. We are already thinking about our next trip with On Foot!”
“Quality location, great for walks, cycling and eating in the local village, very warm welcome and friendly hosts”
“Really helpful staff who were able to answer any queries I had. Product knowledge was superb especially from the manager Lewis. Could not have asked for a better customer service. Will certainly be using these guys going forward. Thank you once again”
“Went to the Bell Inn today for an afternoon tea. Arrived early but the staff were very obliging and seated us 30 mins before the afternoon tea started. I’d asked in advance whether my sister in law could have plain cheese and ham sandwiches as she doesn’t like any salads, pickles etc. Her sandwiches were perfect. Along with mine, the cakes were delicious as were the scones, lashings of clotted cream, yummy. Would definitely recommend the afternoon tea as The Bell Inn.”
“Awesome architecture & loads of history behind the Northington Grange. If you're in the area it's definitely worth the visit, we walked around the outside close to the building & then again on the grass away from the building to admire all the architectural work. Heaps of room for a picnic and room to play soccer and other games. The building is starting to deteriorate & needs some needs good upkeep & definitely a pressure washer and this place will be better than ever. Signs around the property with information about the history about the Northington Grange, who the owners where, architectures etc. The most annoying thing is the drive from the main road to the property, there are heaps of potholes along the dirt road. Read more at Raif & Vy Travel Blog.”
“Amazing experience for my 30th birthday especially since i was gluten free the best gluten free pasta ive ever tasted”
“Lovely pub, outstanding food, good selection of drinks and some of the best service I’ve had locally. Really great food and a nice place to have a meal. Portions are generous so make sure you’re hungry!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the New Forest From the moment we arrived at Woodlands Lodge, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The customer service was exceptional—every request was met with genuine care and efficiency, making us feel truly valued. The food was a standout. Dining at the Cattlegrid Restaurant was a delight, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Whether it was breakfast on the terrace or a cozy dinner indoors, every meal felt like a treat. The staff were incredibly friendly, striking the perfect balance between attentive and relaxed. Their local knowledge and cheerful demeanor added a personal touch that made our experience even more enjoyable. Our room was lovely—tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully comfortable. Waking up to views of the surrounding greenery was a dream, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. One of the biggest highlights was the direct access to the New Forest. Just steps from the hotel, we found ourselves immersed in nature, with scenic walking trails, wildlife spotting, and endless opportunities to explore. There’s so much to do around the area, from charming villages and pubs to cycling routes and historic sites. Whether you’re after adventure or tranquility, Woodlands Lodge is the perfect base. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxing escape with top-notch hospitality and the beauty of the New Forest right on your doorstep.”
“It was amazing. The Titanic area was very moving. The museum creates a great environment to explain and portrait it with the inquiry and everything. The employees were super nice. I loved it!”
“Had takeaway for a late night arrival in Southampton. Friendly and very understandable team. We were late for rhe food pick up slot but the food was kept warm. The food was great. I personally love the generous portion of pad thai which went well with the som tum (green papaya salad)”

The café has a warm and inviting vibe, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The menu offers a fantastic selection of freshly made food, pastries, and artisan coffee, all prepared with high-quality ingredients. The staff are friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service. The interior is stylish, with a mix of modern and rustic décor that adds to the charm. “Visited Beity for the first time this evening and was super impressed! Food is fresh, delicious and tasty (service is also excellent - shout out to the two guys who served us, your customer service skills were on point!) the pictures really speak for themselves. May even be the best Lebanese we have ever tasted. Highly recommend.”
“Brilliant classic pub, unexpectedly good food, and I mean quality good food, we had squid which can be difficult to get right without over cooking and going chewy but this was perfect, even the salid side dressings which id normally ignore was delicious. We also had about 4 different members of staff come and check everything was ok including the chef!! Really shows they care about the food, Exceptional service would strongly recommend”
“I was in the city for a short break with my girlfriend, and we stumbled upon this restaurant around 10 PM. The décor and design immediately caught my eye, and the lounge music created a sexy atmosphere. The service was excellent. The manager explained the menu to us, and we had our meal set up quickly. The drink options and cocktails were amazing. They had a unique twist on classic cocktails that still maintained the essence of their original recipes. I tried the spicy margarita, which was fantastic, and I enjoyed it so much I had five rounds! My partner preferred fruity and sweeter cocktails, so she tried three different ones, all of which she loved. The food was clearly made with love and passion. If you're looking for authentic Asian food in Southampton, this is the place to go. The spices and sauces were perfectly balanced. We ended the night on a high note, staying until the restaurant closed. On a separate note, if you're looking for more privacy, they also offer a private”
“Great pub, nice food and friendly welcome!! Popped in here on a Saturday lunchtime for a quick bite. It’s recently changed management and gone is the huge portions and massive menu. Nothing wrong with the old place, we’ve never had a bad meal there but the portion size was bordering on the gluttonous!! Now a slimmed down menu with a salt specials board, reasonable prices and tasty concoctions. Mixed bean chilli and a seafood madras was ordered with a pint of local Flacks double drop ale. The food arrived in short time and was decent portion size and very tasty. Both dishes came with addons as can be seen in the photos and overall a very tasty reasonably process meal. It was a bit quiet in the place although lots of tables were getting reserved signs put out for later which was a good sign. They also do a bikers night on Thursday evening’s which I believe is becoming quite popular. Overall it’s a great local pub and definitely on our list of approved hostelries!!”
“Thank you to Alison and the team for my beautiful wedding after party, the food was amazing and the pricing is really good. You made it a magical day for me and my family and friends.”
“A small, scenic set of lakes and streams with good woodland walks for dogs around the perimeter, wildlife and fish in the lake.”
“Gorgeous place - we’ve had dinner here every time we’ve visited the area now and never been disappointed. We’ve tried the ham egg and chips, steak burger (which was to die for!) and spicy pizza! All fresh and delicious. Wine superb and service was truly exceptional. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. And we finally got to try a dessert last night- sticky toffee pudding! Absolutely amazing!!!!!”
“Absolutely fantastic stay, accommodation is fantastic the food is out of the world and the staff especially Sarah, Jess and Megane behind the bar and in the reateraumt are fantastic. I will definitely return. And highly reccomend to all. Well done guys!”
“It's a small place with quite a lot of animals to see. It wasn't easy to find where each one was in its tank, but enjoyable nonetheless. There were lizards, snakes, terrapins, cockroaches and other creatures to see. It's worth coming back to a tank if you can't find anything in it first time. A visit is likely to take 30-45 minutes. It is situated within Fort Victoria and there is a cafe and shop nearby. It is also next to the sea. There's loads of free parking.”
“Excellent service from Richard. I had purchased a pressure washer online. When it arrived, the item was missing a part and needed a replacement battery when testing. The manager Richard took ownership of the situation and promptly resolved the issue to my complete satisfaction. More companies could learn from this example of how to do business. Thank you Richard and the team from Cash Converters in this branch.”
“We love coming to Luciano’s and it’s always fantastic every time. The food is authentic and delicious and their menu offers a great choice of traditional Italian dishes. The service from the lovely staff is always first class. So lucky to have this gem of a restaurant on our doorstep!”
“Absolutely brilliant. So many different, and varied food chains, taco bell and KFC to name a couple. Lots of different shops to visit, along with an arcade and absolutely INCREDIBLE waterpark! The area is always clean, however the car park is very crammed and there really isn't much room between cars”
