βLovely little place, high standard rooms and very clean throughout. A very pleasant stay.β
βAbsolutely lovely food, no issues with presentation, temperature, taste or texture. I very much suggest you try a breakfast wrap/oatcake.β
βThe room was clean and very cosy. It had everything we needed. Caroline and Clive were excellent hosts. The service provided by them was excellent. Breakfast was the crown of the stay. We will definitely return.β
βMy father, Dennis, lived there for a few years and raved about the food. When I visited him from Canada, the chef, Paul, was always willing to spend time talking to my father about the navy. My father was right about the food and the service. Both were over the top.β
βDon't let the look of the place fool you. Very friendly staff and the food is always top qualityβ
βOrdered 1st teatime meal yesterday. Hot and freshly cooked. Can highly reccommend their breakfasts and teatime meal.β

βQuaint , hidden gem of Sandbach. First time here today. Polite and friendly service. Dogs were welcomed, which is nice to see. The food was cooked fresh to order. It was well worth the wait. I can highly recommend the mega burger! Delicious. Excellent choice of food and a great drinks menuβ
βGreat place. Homely and got a very warm welcome. Breakfast was top quality local sausages and bacon, a very good filling breakfast. Worth Β£70 a night. My husband and I definitely want to return Highly recommendedβ
βRoaches Tea Room and Restaurant is a charming eatery in Staffordshire, ideally situated near the popular Roaches and Lud's Church walking trails. The venue boasts a rustic, countryside ambiance, with a beautiful blend of wood and stone, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Their menu caters to a variety of tastes, including gluten-free options, and features a delightful selection of sandwiches, cakes, teas, and coffee. Although the service can feel a bit limited due to the small staff, the warm atmosphere makes up for it. Restrooms are located outside, and there is ample parking available.β
βBy far the best cafe in the area! Every time I come to Bear I never want to leave. Canβt quite put my finger why I love it so much. Is it the ambiance, the acoustics, the decor, the view, the amazing coffee (which takes me back to living in Melbourne, renowned for amazing coffee shops!), the fabulous food or the friendly warm and welcoming staff? Whatever it is, it ticks all my boxes, please keep it up!β
βThe restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the food is really delicious, especially the Croquettes. We were served by Sylvia and she was exceptional. We had such a lovely time, we are going to bring the rest of the family for Christmasβ
βEggettes is such a gem in Keele! The bubble tea tastes amazingβeasily some of the best Iβve had. The shop is cozy and full of adorable decorations, making it perfect for taking photos while you enjoy your drink. Itβs a great spot to hang out with friends or just relax. The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Jesslyn Yeom, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. Plus, everything is really affordable. Highly recommend checking it out!β
βThe Shed never disappoints. It's the best local pub around. Just when I thought you couldn't get better than their burger and perfect chips, their Xmas menu comes out. The lamb shank instantly melted in my mouth and is definitely worth the price!β
βConvenient stop on the way to Manchester. Very comfortable bed, nice and quiet room, good breakfast plus friendly staff.β
βWalked in today as usual service with a smile ladies and engaged. My favourite is chicken and quick Keep the same standardsβ
βHad a party of 25 for a birthday meal. Pre ordered the food, due to the numbers and everything was top notch. The staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough, helped to make it a special day. Definitely recommend it THANK YOU.β
βA great find for a weekend break. Fantastic food and great choice of drinks. Lovely sized rooms and a comfortable bed. Will definitely be returningβ
βAbsolutely fab place. Booked it for a Sunday afternoon baby shower. Wow, the food was lush & plentiful. We were all stuffed & there was such a good selection of both savouries & cakes. We had chicken croquettes, the most amazing mozzarella sticks, hot & cold sandwiches. They catered so well for one of the group who was vegan. Cocktails were lovely too! Great service & ambience. I look forward to returning & would definitely recommend!β
βI was here around 12.40pm on Saturday 27th September and feel compelled to compliment the young lady with the long ponytail who was single-handedly serving a long line of customers with efficiency and kindness. She was unflappable and I saw her genuine warmth in taking care of someone who clearly had a learning disability, despite the queue. Itβs rare to find that hospitality on the high street nowadays. And to top it off the coffee was great.β
βFabulous cafe Great service, fast turnaround and food was delicious Perfect chipsβ
βA fantastic pub with friendly staff and welcoming regulars. It's family friendly and pets are allowed. I always have a good time here; itβs one of my favorite pubs in Stoke. Thank you for all the wonderful nights!β
βWe took our baby girl for her first birthday and stayed two nights in an In the Night Garden room. It was the best time of her little life and there for me, too! The hotel is perfect for little ones, so baby friendly with so much thought gone in to the design. Including travel cot, baby bath, bottle warmer and nappy bin in the room. The lobby itself was interactive and magical and my little girl was blown away to bump into her two faves - Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle doing a meet and greet in the hotel. Parking was easy, plenty of it and right in front of the hotel which is great when youβve got a car full of baby supplies. Breakfast is very good and they do veggie sausages on request. Evening food was lovely one night but not so good the second. Tiny tots menu was very good. Drinks and food were expensive, but that wasnβt really a surprise as this is the case with most resorts like this. Iβve been singing the hotels praises to any parent who will listen and we will definitely come back when our daughter is older and the Bluey ride is open. Only negatives (or just something to mention) is that the signage in the area (Alton towers area) generally is pretty poor and sometimes misleading/confusing, but itβs easy to find a member of staff to ask for directions when needed. Special shout out to Sam on reception who answered all my questions before we arrived and was super helpful. Thanks for calming my first time mum nerves!β
βBeen going here for over 3 years now daily, never had an issue with them! If the order is slightly wrong they always resolve the issue almost instantly! Top tier scran and top tier staff!β
βReally enjoyed having a little stop at this cafe for a drink. In the centre of town just off the main area itβs big enough for maybe 25 people with various tables inside and out. Toilets on site and itβs wheelchair accessible too. They allowed our dog in as he was well behaved. Lovely service and very friendly. We had a couple of cream teas with great clotted cream and home made scones - it was a great time thanksβ
βmet friends there when we got off train, nice friendly staffβ
βEnter stay. First time visiting for an afternoon tea. Was very impressed with the interior and the Christmas decorations. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in the window. The afternoon tea didnβt disappoint. There was a good variety of sandwiches and the fillings were very generous. The scones were delicious, the only niggle was that there was only a small pot of jam between people. The cakes were lovely and the chocolate pot so rich. Will certainly come again.β
βWe hired the boat "Molly May" through Waterways Holidays from Norbury Wharf.. We arrived and we met by friendly approachable staff. The Boat was ready to go and was spotless.. We loaded up and Phil showed us all we needed to know, he was very thorough and left us full of confidence for the week ahead. On return we were helped into the boat yard and had to admit to a lost windlass and 2 broken glasses!! The staff were very good about it and didn't charge us and even offered 5% off our next to holiday with them! The cafe and chandlery were also excellent.. Many thanks for a great wk of off grid solitude!!β
