“Watched live stream of the ballet Romeo and Juliet from Royal Ballet and Opera House. Fabulous! A great venue staffed by very helpful friendly volunteers . There is a bar and ice creams were sold at the first of three intervals. Our tickets cost a very reasonable £16.50. Have seen other ballets at this venue. I strongly recommend.”
“This is a tremendous venue in the middle of Cheshire farmland. It may sound quaint but the set up is very professional. You are able to simply book your seats for performances or you can hire tables in the restaurant for your own indoor picnic. We saw James Pearson and friends at a Jazz evening, and he is the resident at Ronnie Scott's in London. So that can't be bad. The place is celebrating its 50th anniversary and so it's longevity speaks volumes for its popularity and viability.”
“Loved this place. Service was fantastic and the food was great. The team are super friendly too. I popped in for an early lunch on Tuesday while cycling the “Way of the Roses” to Bridlington. I made it in 2 days as planned. Thank you, for helping me refuel. Hope to see you all again soon. Steve”
“We recently hired the hall for a birthday party, it was lovely and clean, Sue made sure everything was organised ready for when we got there. On the day both Sue and Karen helped to make sure we had everything that we needed for the party to run smoothly. Thank you so much, we will definitely look at hiring the hall again for a party.”
“Brilliant community centre offering great services”
“Hired the venue for my little girls first birthday party. Really spacious room, with good quality tables and chairs accessible. We ran slightly over our booked time whilst cleaning away but the lady Ross who we booked through was lovely and didn’t rush us out at all. Will definitely be using again for future parties.”
“We booked a spa day for four of us in November and loved every second. The facilities were immaculate, spacious and varied. There was so much to do and most importantly, the spa wasn't packed ridiculously full so you could actually enjoy it. The drinks, food and service were all great and the treatment was fantastic. Genuinely couldn't fault the team working and the spa itself, it was beautiful and the team were constantly walking round tidying blankets etc. and as you couldn't reserve the large beds, there was always availability too. I think the one slight issue (and this is being really picky) was that there was nowhere for the towels to dry so they ended up soaking wet by the end of the day but it's the smallest issue and didn't affect our enjoyment of the day at all. We're already looking at a date to come back.”
“Had a fantastic day here. Two cafes with great food, ice creams and drinks. Toilets were clean. The house was quiet and easy to walk through everyone was helpful and informative. The grounds were stunning and lots to see. Great accessibility. Lots for kids to do, the house had kid friendly activities but also lots of parks and outside spaces for children. Promoting inclusivity and that seems to been something they are working hard to promote which is fantastic to see. Great walks for people and dog friendly also, even some doggy ice creams.”
“Me and my daughters visited this wildlife park and it was a wonderful visit. The animals all look well cared for with plenty of space to move. The accessibility for wheelchair users was fantastic. Platforms made it easy to view animals and the walk around areas were not too small. Information about each animal was clear and easy to understand for younger children. There was an option to feed wallabies or deer, we opted for wallabies and were amazed when a joey popped its head out of its mom's pouch. Although my daughters are adults, the play area was fantastic, we would have definitely spent a fair while there when they were younger. Definitely a place to visit. If there were any recommendations for the park, it would be to have some Makaton signs by the enclosures.”
“We love both Apple tree towns. High quality toys, costumes and general set up. The play town is finished to a higher quality than some others and I feel this is reflected in how much my little one loves it. We have visited Apple tree at Bridgemere, equally fantastic. The space at Bridgemere has been used to make the town the best I can be, which is what we are paying for ( not tables and chairs in my opinion). 10/10 to the owner for creating two fantastic venues!”
“Great walk, posts with colour code walks to follow. Very peaceful.”
“Just spent a lovely peaceful 2 nights at the Leek C&CC and really did enjoy our short break. Well laid out location with a mixture of sites. Friendly staff and well maintained and spotlessly clean facilities. In fact nothing really to fault and everything to praise. Would recommend and will visit again.”
“This is a great soft play venue, it was very clean the cleanest one I have ever been, there are 3 2hour sessions per day with a 30 minute cleaning break in-between each session. The food menue prices are reasonable and its made fresh to order, they have a good choice of coffees and teas. I had gone there for a birthday party and the party food was a child friendly buffet for the children to choose what they would like to eat and there was more than enough for the 16 children at this party with an ice-cream tub each for desert. My 3 grandchildren were well impressed and want to go again. Only negative why do adults have to pay £1.50 each when they will buy coffee/teas for themselves and drinks for the children.”
“Amazing venue to hire for a party - highly recommend!”
“Use this centre for several parties and also to attend lectures and training sessions held there. A great facility. (My dad worked on building part of the original community centre so it has been pleasure to use both halls over the years.)”
“First time visit inspired by my mate Glenn being in the cast on. Thoroughly enjoyed it, made me realise in the best way, why I used to be a regular theatre igoer until life started getting in the way in the late 80s. Cosy and relaxed but professional environment and atmosphere. Check out the 24/25 program I doubt you'll regret it.”
“My first visit, what a great place! Staff lovely and friendly offering lots of activities and lovely food! Well done”
“Our friends held their Wedding here and it was lovely. The staff were excellent and the food was awesome. we were lucky to have one of the hottest days of the year, so spent most time in the Garden which was also beautiful. Great day and what a fantastic wedding cake!”
“Took my 12 & 8 year old here for Begin Off Road, and they had a great time, even the rain didn't dampen their spirits. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. As the group progressed around the park they split into 2 groups based on confidence/ability which really helped my yougest as he wasn't as confident in the woods as his older sister. Thoroughly recommended”
“We moored at the Marina for a few days, and we had a great 60th birthday lunch in the restaurant! Very good food, the staff are super and the setting is beautiful & very well landscaped. Highly recommended!”
“Pavilion Gardens in Buxton is a truly lovely place to visit and perfect for a relaxing yet enjoyable day out. The gardens themselves are beautifully kept, offering a peaceful setting for a stroll, a sit-down, or time with family. What really makes the experience stand out is the fantastic choice of restaurants and cafés nearby. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re after a light bite, a coffee, or a proper meal – all with great quality and a welcoming atmosphere. The combination of well-maintained gardens, attractions and excellent food options makes Pavilion Gardens a real gem in Buxton. It’s somewhere you can easily spend hours and leave feeling refreshed and well looked after. Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone looking for a great day out.”
“What a fabulous building so much history. Run by English heritage so free for members. Tours are a must they are fabulous. Free car park for members”
“We had a birthday party here today. All the staff were so lovely and friendly. It was very clean. We used the party room upstairs and the kids loved the bubbles and foam disco!”
“From the minute we walked into the showroom we have been treated like the most important customer. It is heartwarming to know that the staff look after all their customers like that. I will definitely use Bensons for beds again in the future.”
“Love their concerts and markets, a really lovely centre for the community and staff are always friendly. Our most recent experience was a rock night, it was so much fun, a brilliant night out.”
“A wonderful mixed woodland near to Oakamoor and between Cgeadke and Alton Towers. The site us owned and managed by the National Trust, access is free with plenty of parking at a layby, or in a small dedicated car park about further along the road from Cheadle. A variety of wildlife is on offer if you're lucky enough to see it and walking is medium difficulty with one or two trickier sections dotted about. Rarely more than a handful of people here.”
“Great community space, suitable for all sorts of events and activities. We use the Allscott Hall for a line dance class on Tuesdays.”
“There are friendly people at the Hub, that want to help anyone who has a disability or difficult problem that needs solving”
