“Went here for a relative’s 40th birthday. Lovely space on the first floor for big parties. The pizzas and pasta are delicious here and very well priced! Authentic Italian food. Service is superb, we had someone who wasn’t happy with their order, didn’t realise it would be so plain and the staff immediately bought out a difference pizza on the house - never seen service like it! Very good restaurant and plenty of tasty sounding dishes on the menu! Highly recommend, nice little Italian in the middle of Shrewsbury! I had the garlic chilli spaghetti which was delicious with a nice strong kick!”

“Dropped in for a meal for my wife's birthday with my son and daughter and all of us said how glad we did and how much we enjoyed it. The food was fantastic made with local produce and excellent value for money. We will definitely be visiting again”

“Walked into a very traditionally styled pub/restaurant. Bar staff were very friendly with quick service on a Friday afternoon. Ordered food and drinks. Of course we got a great offer with a full card of stamps from the loyalty app. Food service was quick and servers were super friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I'd like to give them ladies a special mention and thank you for making our visit very pleasant indeed. Overall very pleased and shall be returning soon.”

“We’ve finally found our favorite spot in Shrewsbury—and it’s The Boathouse! This place truly has it all: breathtaking views, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and delicious food and drinks. The location is unbeatable, right by the river with picture-perfect views of the water and the bridge. On sunny days, there’s nothing better than sitting outside, soaking up the sunshine with a cold beer or cider in hand. It’s so peaceful watching the ducks and swans glide by, birds flying overhead, and people kayaking along the river. It really gives you that holiday feeling without ever leaving town. On our first visit, I tried lamb for the very first time and went for the Moroccan Lamb Tagine—absolutely packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We also had the BH Burger, which was juicy, tasty, and very satisfying. The food overall was fantastic and clearly made with care. The staff were friendly and attentive from the bar to the table. The whole experience—from the scenic setting to the great food and top-notch service—made it one of those places you want to come back to again and again. Whether you’re local or just visiting Shrewsbury, The Boathouse is a must-visit. We enjoyed every minute spent there and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!”

“We went to The Loopy Shrew for Christmas meal. It was extremely busy and there wasn't much space to move in the bar area. The food however arrived quickly and was very tasty. It was a good meal and the drinks were nice, but a little expensive.”

“We had a meal at pizza express tonight for my daughter’s birthday . In total there was 12 of us . We were looked after from start to finish impeccably, the service was top notch - which is hard to find at many places these days . The starters and main pizzas arrived all in good time , the table was constantly cleared of used plates and more drinks offered frequently . The food was all 10/10 , hot , no mistakes with any orders and all left to feel like our custom meant something to them . The deserts were incredible too. All in all - fantasic !”

“Best soft play I've been to in a while - lots of zones, suitable for all ages. My 8mo loved it. You guys do need a better system for the toddler juice and toast - 20 mins wait for the toast, can't you just have a pile ready to pass out?!”

Spoke to someone on the phone I think called "Wen Ting" she was very sweet and provided the most helpful service advising what food i'd like. “I have been buying pizza from Al Piccolino since the 80s when I was a small child, it was a treat then and still is. I don’t live in Shrewsbury anymore, but I make a point of ordering from here whenever I’m in town and I am yet to be disappointed. A true Shrewsbury institution, I absolutely love this place. Thanks for all the great pizzas over the years.”
