“Stopped by for lunch with my two daughters (3 and 6) after some swimming. It was a Saturday around 2 PM, and the bar was quiet; we were actually the only ones in the restaurant. Initially, we worried we'd made a mistake. Thankfully, we hadn't! The staff were incredibly friendly and brilliant with my girls, and the food (chicken wings & cod and chips) was fantastic. However they prepared their wings, they were delicious—and I do love a good wing! The cod was beautiful, the tartar sauce was fresh, and the chips were perfectly fluffy and crispy. Overall, the experience truly lived up to the glowing reviews we'd read before going. They make their own Gin, beers, and whisky; I only tried the beer, but their inviting bar and outside area looked fantastic, so I'll definitely find an excuse to come back and try the rest. All in all, I'd highly recommend this spot if you're in the area. My only downside is that it's on the other side of Belfast from where I live! I hope to be back again soon.”
“Great breakfast with a proper cup of tea. Service was great fast, polite and with a smile.”
“We had the chowder and the spicy peanut eggs and the food was so delicious. The cafe is cute and cozy.”
“Great selection of fish. I had the hake supper, and my partner had a chicken burger (there is your classic cod/haddock but also sole and pollock - hard to find elsewhere). Both used quality ingredients, and they were succulent and tasty. Would highly recommend.”
“Wonderful pub, excellent food and service at a very good price. Loved the entertain too. A good night out”
“Absolutely Smokin good food!! Portions were very generous. We shared a starter but still couldn’t finish our mains. Definitely value for money. The cocktails were tasty. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive.”
“Have been coming here regularly for years with my parents since back when it was Papa Joe's. The food is beautiful, they have loads of gluten free options, and I don't think the prices are bad for what you get. I think 9 times out of 10 the service is fantastic, there's the odd time you might be waiting a while for your bill and you have to flag down a member of staff as they pass by. If you're gluten free I highly recommend the Korean BBQ chicken wings and the chicken Tenby!”
“Food was amazing, gourmet burger was delicious. Black forest gateau and the mochas are great too. Lovely staff, very helpful and a nice space to dine in.”
“Christmas lunch for 18 people! Delicious, prompt, hot and very generous servings. Really lovely desserts too. All looked so nicely presented as well as yummy. Congratulations and thank you to the chef and table staff on a great lunch for us!”
“We have been going here 10 years now and we love it,friendly staff..quick..always clean and presentable! The food is outstanding for the price..honestly I don't think you will find better value!”
“Tyler and Clay Grill was the perfect spot for a lively birthday celebration with my lab mates. Despite the bustling and somewhat noisy atmosphere, we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious grilled food and the accompanying music, making for a fun and memorable experience overall. It's a great place to go for tasty grilled dishes and a good time, even if it's a bit loud.”
“Dog friendly. Went for a evening meal and drinks with my partner and our dog. Great service from the start. Had some small plates between us and shared the special which was all brilliant. Curtis even went the extra mile and got my fiancée some olives when she chanced her arm after seeing they weren't on the menu. All in all a great night, cocktails were fantastic and would definitely go back!”
“I stopped by here for lunch a couple of months back and couldn't believe how good the food was. So much so that I talked my family into getting the family platter and has now become a regular thing. Have tried pretty much everything off the menu and haven't been disappointed. If I have any negatives it would be, on one occasion I think they ran out of chicken and I had a 40 min wait on more being cooked(I assume it's oven cooked then grilled) but it was resolved well and I would have waited anyway. Staff are great, friendly and willing to help. The selection of sauces set out for people to try is a great idea for people who've never been before. Hands down the best place for a cheat day!”
“Good menu & lovely staff. Pics are the duck wrap, and chilli chicken with sourdough”
“Food was incredible, great portions, definitely be back!”
“Absolutely spectacular! BaoBun is my FAVOURITE place in Belfast! You haven't lived until you have Bao! Always fresh, delicious, flavourful, served by wonderful, friendly staff. You'll want to come back every time you visit Belfast.”
“First time trying tonight. Food was excellent. 3 adults, 3 different meals and all were delicious. Doesn't taste like takeaway food at all. So fresh and great quality.”
“Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time!!! Such a gorgeous depth of flavour and smokiness from fresh frying on the grill”
“Friendly and cosy place. Food was beautiful, pasta is always cooked perfectly and they do the best goujons I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend”
“Third time at The Galley and it hasn't disappointed once. Incredible dishes at reasonable prices, coupled with first class, friendly service. Amazing duck confit ragu and a perfectly cooked rare ribeye steak have been the highlights. Have no idea how this place isn't the most popular restaurant in Bangor.”
“Lovely dining experience. Very pleasant and historical surroundings...superb service and excellent value for money. And very popular so book it well in advance!”
“Love stopping by any time we are in the area, his coffee and cakes (especially the choco-cinos!) are amazing!”
“Hidden gem and could recommend enough. Usually always got the chicken wings which are always too notch but recently got the curry and pasta Bolognese which were equally as nice.”
“Yet again love the brunch and staff so friendly.frys are great job and great price.”

“Great staff, live sports on TV, jukebox, friendly customers, amazing pints, right next to the bus station and a pool table. What more could you possible ask for!”
“Who knows, maybe I caught it on a great night, incredible menu, phenomenal steak and amazing "simply chocolate" dessert. Arguably the best steak I've had in Belfast...charred and flavourful. Staff were also attentive and super nice!”
“I love this place. Its always very busy and the atmosphere is buzzing. Great choice of food any time of the day. The staff are very welcoming and are always cheerful and helpful. Its a great place for a meal celebration business meeting or just for a coffee and a chat..”
“Lovely lunch today and the staff were honestly the nicest kindest people. I randomly asked what the dressing on the salad was because it was so nice and 5 minutes after the man told me what it was he came out with a pot of it that I could take away. Didn’t have to do that but was lovely. Great customer service and lovely staff”
“I’ve been looking for a waffle place in Belfast and just recently discovered Cafe Mauds. Their waffle is by far the best I have tried in belfast. My favourite in their menu is the banana and toffee waffle. The banana balances out the sweetness of the toffee and I think they are a perfect combination. Definitely recommending place to those looking for a good dessert place.”
