“We popped in of an afternoon on a sunday for a cob and a pint! Atmosphere great and lovely people! Just to note cobs are cash only so we had to rummage around the car for change! Great local! Also great with kids i have a 4 year old and a 4 month old and couple of the locals ended up giving my eldest a £1 for the sweet machine as we had used all our change for cobs!! Very sweet and lovely people! 1000% recommended!”

“Lovely Sunday roast. Lovely and hot and fresh. Nice atmosphere. Nice traditional pub. Music in background good too, from era i like. Too many pubs have rappy loud unintelligible music that isn't conducive to relaxing. 80s music best in my opinion. Definitely recommend, this fun local pub.”

“Excellent micro pub. Impressive selection of their own brewed beers and guest ales. Huge real ale selection and some craft keg beers. Service was very efficient as was very busy when I visited due to the Kidderminster Halesowen match.”

No gastro gimmicks here but serving traditional foods such as steaming hot Irish stew or traditional dinners are highly recommended. Food is mostly served to diners in the quiet lounge area to the rear but you can also eat in the bar if you wish. Five stars, order with confidence!”

“I honestly can’t understand the negative reviews for this restaurant — they must be thinking of somewhere else! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly smiles and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are always lovely and attentive, often recommending fresh specials or dishes that aren’t even on the menu. The food isn’t complicated — it’s simply prepared with care and skill, which makes all the difference. And the chicken… oh, the chicken! It’s cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavour, the kind that makes your mouth water the moment it arrives at the table. I’ve been eating here for as long as I can remember, and I have never had a bad meal. Consistently excellent food, warm service, and a homely atmosphere — it’s one of those rare places that you want to return to regularly, even after 20 years”

“What can I say, as a Northfield boy I grew up with the clock cafe on my doorstep. Recently visited since I moved to Wales 5 years ago. Every time I have been it has been amazing. Sense of a homely feeling, being welcomed and made to feel like you are the only customer there is amazing. Food was perfect and cheap prices!! Staff are amazing”

“Visited at the weekend during a busy period. We've eaten here many times before and its always been lovely, so the visit was disappointing. My daughter and I both ordered well-done sirloin steak, but both were extremely tough, chewy, and hard to cut, making them unenjoyable. The dish was also missing the tomato garnish. While the waitress was polite, the explanation given didn't really address the issue. However, the manager was amazing - very understanding and professional. Service overall was good, and the deserts were absolutely first class. We hope this was just a one-off, as previous visits have been excellent.”

“Good local pub, cosy, good value. Very good restaurant above - El Toro. Steak based with a few other options. Definitely worth a drive as there are very few good restaurant options nearby. Large portions yet still good quality. Meat comes from the local butcher. Excellent wine. Not quite Michelin star but better than any other local restaurant we've been to.”

“We attended my grandsons 1st birthday party there . The room was a great venue to hold such an event , there was a small soft play area for toddlers and babies with plenty of seating for parents . We brought a play tunnel and tent to add to the equipment and we decorated the venue with balloons and added themed touches around the room . The bar was well stocked and the service was friendly . We provided our own buffet style food for the guests and they brought their own drinks , so we can't comment on the pubs own food. The pub is not far from surrounding towns and a nice drive out . A great venue to hold a private event or to just pop in for a drink or two .”

“Ordered last night - absolute delicious freshly cooked fish, chips and mushy peas. The fish was lightly crispy battered and was not dripping of grease and the chips, hot fresh and delicious. All in all - very tasty and hot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Came here on my own for a curry and was really pleased! A rich sauce with a really tasty, intense flavour to it. The chicken was also really nice and moist. The Naan accompanied it really well too. The curry was the garlic chilli kundah. For rice naan and curry, with a drink. It cost £16 so really good value for money considering the food was ace!”

“Cafe sol is one of the best Cafe's I've been too, great atmosphere, family run and fantastic food and drinks. Massive variety of food from a full English (great portions) to little items such as porridge and even Vegan options, all great prices. I would 100% recommend to either eat in or ordering to eat in the comfort of your own home. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and cater to all requirements without any hesitation. I'm definitely going to be a regular and will order both delivery and to eat inside. Great job, very very satisfied.”

“The service was excellent. My daughter has Ceoliacs and the young girl who served me was really helpful if advising how best to order. The food was served very quickly and was fresh and to spec. Everywhere was clean and the staff were really friendly. I have moved to the area recently and will definitely be coming back again. Only point I will raise but appreciate it may be due to the time of year but the garden area in the back could do wither the hedges being cut back a bit where you site just to open the area up a little bit. This was very minor though. Overall fantastic.”

“The Keg & Grill serves curry within the setting of a traditional English pub set up. The atmosphere here is always great, whether busy or quiet and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. There offer a limited menu but there doesn't need to be a lot of choice because what they do provide is enough regardless of whether you want a snack or a proper meal you are sure to find something to your liking here. Come here if you want to spend an evening chilling with mates at the pub but want the option of good food without having to leave to source it.”

“Had a very pleasant experience. Clean establishment with great service from staff. The ladies front of house were helpful and I got the feeling that it's a family run restaurant. I ordered a regular tawa and it was very nice.good portions for 2 people, the spice level was perfect as we chose medium. It was well cooked and the flavours were good. I think my only issue is that the lamb chops were a little charred and the lamb and chicken curry needed more masala to accompany the meat. Other than that, everything else was lovely. I would visit again, hopefully taking the family and would certainly recommend others to try. The chef and the majority of the staff were all women, which is a refreshing change in this industry, so many thanks to all of them for their efforts. The price was a little more that what is use to be, but this is generally the trend for many restaurants now. I would say it's competitive to others. I hope to visit again. We did visit again, and the food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. Especially the prawn Puri, but I do wish, there were more of the prawns. Always love coming here!”
